Since Alexander was asking and seemed to think that way, Fang Zhen decided he might as well play along.

Fang Zhen had a pretty good handle on the situation.

He knew he would be relatively safe, at least until the alien siege was over or the Eternal Night Council was completely overthrown.

Alexander and his group seemed magnanimous and straightforward, but it was still wise to be on guard. As the saying goes, it never hurts to be wary of others.

And until the Eternal Night Council was completely overthrown, he would be safe.

Thanks to Alexander’s explanation, the members of the Whig Society, though still amazed, didn’t dwell on the matter of Fang Zhen’s subspace.

Fang Zhen said, "This is a piece of alchemy equipment that can fly. I can use it to spray some fuel over that forest. I’ll need someone with a powerful bow to shoot a fire arrow, igniting the fuel and burning those aliens to death."

"Leave it to me. I’m an expert at this sort of thing," Anglo said, taking a step forward.

Fang Zhen saw it was the white-haired Anglo and couldn’t help but give him a second look.

"Heh heh heh, don’t think I’m useless just because I’m old." Anglo seemed to read the meaning in Fang Zhen’s gaze.

"Within the Whig Society, I am universally recognized as the best archer. No one else can draw the powerful bows I can. Leave this to me," Anglo said, formally requesting the task.

"Alright." Fang Zhen nodded.

He was discovering that the Whig Society had quite a few members who were old but vigorous, their strength only increasing with age. Gwendolyn was one, and this Anglo was perhaps another—a figure like the great archer Huang Zhong.

"Then let’s begin now," Fang Zhen said.

With that, he switched on the drone’s power supply. Under the watchful gazes of the Whig Society members, the drone slowly ascended, and a live feed from its camera appeared on the control console.

This scene once again stunned the members of the Whig Society, who broke out in cries of amazement.

The Curse Sealers who also possessed Alchemy skills, in particular, were even more deeply moved.

"Just what level of alchemy equipment is this? Could this be the work of the Alchemy Master, Sains, whom Fang Zhen mentioned in the letter Gwendolyn told us about? This is divine craftsmanship, simply divine!" West couldn’t help but exclaim.

The others were just as astounded.

Amidst the crowd’s gasps of wonder, Fang Zhen piloted the drone.

He was already operating the drone with practiced ease.

This drone was filled with gasoline.

The reason Fang Zhen didn’t use the Blood Burst Secret Medicine was that he also wanted to clear out some of the corrupted soldiers.

There were still forests surrounding Lanxi City. If those aliens, led by the councilors of the Eternal Night Council, were to attack the city, they could potentially build battering rams, catapults, or siege ladders.

He wanted to burn down the nearby forest as well. That way, the enemy couldn’t use local resources to build siege equipment.

The drone flew through the air and soon arrived over a large stretch of forest where numerous aliens were hiding among the trees.

Watching the video feed, Fang Zhen switched the drone to its sprayer mode and began spraying with the press of a button.

Instantly, a fine mist of gasoline began to spray from the sky as the drone circled continuously over the forest.

It was a bit like brushing sauce onto skewers of meat and vegetables at a barbecue.

The drone circled in the air a few more times.

Fang Zhen felt the concentration of gasoline was about right. The aliens seemed sensitive to the smell; various howls and even coughs could be heard coming from within the woods.

However, due to some strange restriction, none of the aliens fled. They remained relatively concentrated within the forest.

When Fang Zhen felt the concentration of gasoline was sufficient, he shouted, "Anglo, fire arrow!"

Anglo’s eyes lit up instantly. He took a greatbow from a disciple standing behind him.

The bow was immense, standing nearly as tall as a man. It was made from a special kind of wood that emitted a faint white glow; though it was wood, it looked and felt like metal.

This greatbow used a special bowstring.

Fang Zhen looked closely. The bowstring’s material resembled the thin filaments attached to the expanding Shattered Sword that West had used during their duel.

The entire bowstring was formed by twisting these tough filaments together to be strung on the greatbow.

Anglo shouted, "Arrow!"

At once, Anglo’s disciple presented him with a long, black arrow.

This arrow was different from a typical feathered arrow; it was at least a time and a half longer than normal.

Anglo bent the bow, nocked the long black arrow, and activated his Power Mountain Seal. The greatbow in his hands flashed with white light, but even with the Power Mountain Seal, he only managed to draw the mighty bow about two-thirds of the way.

Fang Zhen observed Anglo while continuing to operate the drone.

’Anglo’s bow seems incredibly powerful. Judging by the draw weight... could it be the legendary Five-stone Bow?’

’If it’s a Five-stone Bow, the draw weight must be close to seven or eight hundred pounds. Using the Power Mountain Seal, he can just barely manage to draw it.’

Once Anglo had gathered his strength, someone in front of him tied an oil-soaked cloth to the arrowhead. The cloth wasn’t soaked in ordinary oil, but in a special Alchemy Ointment.

This Alchemy Ointment had a unique property: once ignited, it was nearly impossible to extinguish.

Fang Zhen shouted, "Anglo, fire!"

Instantly, Anglo released the bowstring. The arrow streaked across the night sky, a trail of fire moving with incredible speed.

Fang Zhen had never seen an arrow fly so fast. The power of Anglo’s greatbow seemed to surpass even his own compound bow and crossbow.

Fang Zhen took another look. ’This must be a greatbow that could only exist in the Extraordinary World. It was definitely created using some form of Alchemy.’

The fire arrow covered an immense distance in the blink of an eye, reaching several hundred meters away in an instant.

The fire arrow flew over the forest where the aliens were hiding. As it passed through the atomized gasoline, it ignited the mist, and a massive sheet of flame erupted in the air.

The entire stretch of mountain forest was set ablaze.

The explosive conflagration drew enormous gasps of amazement from the soldiers and Curse Sealers on the city walls.

Fang Zhen was already a veteran of fire attacks. Because of his Flame Heart of the Flame, he now grew excited at the sight of fire.

He maneuvered the drone, continuously spraying clouds of gasoline mist down into the woods, feeding the inferno. The fire spread rapidly, and soon most of the forest was burning. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

Before long, the aliens that had been hiding in the forest began to charge out, driven from their cover by the flames.

The aliens were in a wretched state, their bodies wreathed in flames, turning them into living torches.

These were just the aliens that managed to escape from the forest’s edge. The vast majority seemed to be held in place by some powerful, invisible restraint, making it impossible for them to flee the area.

It was as if they were trapped inside a circle drawn by Sun Wukong with his Golden Cudgel, unable to escape.

This made the situation absolutely perfect for a fire attack.

With the drone continuously spraying gasoline, vast swaths of the forest had been engulfed, creating a sea of fire. The entire forest was ablaze, its glow turning half the sky red.
