"How boring. The Mansion Master took so many people away... It’s a shame I couldn’t go, otherwise I’d love to see it. That pathetic Merak Palace, daring to oppose our Cyan Profound Mansion. If I were there, I’d crush them flat!" an old man sitting in the Library Pavilion muttered, looking bored.

Just then, two figures appeared in his line of sight. The startled Library Pavilion attendant scrambled to his feet and demanded with a grim expression, "Who... who are you?"

Although Qing Tianxuan had taken many of the strongest members, some had been left behind. If not, the place would be empty, and anyone could just waltz into the restricted areas.

"Weren’t you just saying you wanted to crush us? Well, I’m here now. Come and crush me." Yi Tianyun rushed forward and lashed out with a kick. BANG! The attendant was sent flying, crashing headfirst into a distant stack of bookshelves. Piles and piles of Martial Arts manuals toppled over, burying him.

Then, they began their plunder, completely clearing out the Library Pavilion! Every last Martial Arts manual was stuffed into their Storage Rings.

After looting the Library Pavilion, they moved on to raiding other areas for Treasures. Anyone who tried to stop them was sent flying by a single punch from Yi Tianyun. Shi Xueyun didn’t even have to lift a finger; she just helped him gather the spoils.

When Shi Xueyun moved to join the fight, Yi Tianyun stopped her, saying he could handle the rough work. Shi Xueyun smiled and said nothing, leaving it to him.

The room was filled with blood. There were Blood Pools everywhere. No bodies were visible, only blood. ’How many people must have been killed to accumulate this much?’

"SOB... SOB... Please don’t kill us... don’t kill us..."

The sound of crying came from up ahead, causing them to look up. They saw a large iron cage hanging from the ceiling, filled with children! These children were all mortals, but they seemed to possess a powerful Spiritual nature.

"Bastards!" Yi Tianyun cursed. There was no doubt in his mind—the Blood Pools were filled with the blood of these children.

"We have to save them!"

They rushed forward, quickly releasing the mechanism holding the cage and lowering it to the ground. The moment it landed, the children inside began to cry even more pitifully.

"SOB... Please don’t kill us... We’ll be good, we’ll do whatever you want..."

"Please don’t kill us... I want my mommy... Mommy, Daddy, where are you...?"

They were all crying wretchedly, staring at Yi Tianyun and Shi Xueyun in terror.

"Don’t cry, little ones," Shi Xueyun began to comfort them. "I’m not a bad person. I’m here to save you." She used her sweet smile and gentle voice to soothe their troubled minds.

"Really? You’re not a bad person...?"

"The lady is prettier than the bad men... She doesn’t look like a bad person..."

One by one, they began to quiet down, sensing that these visitors were different from the others.

Shi Xueyun then opened the cage, letting them all out. Even once freed, they didn’t dare to run, their faces still pale with shock. They were all emaciated, their skin sallow from starvation.

"Aunt, you get them out of here," Yi Tianyun said, his eyes filled with fury. "I’ll deal with this place."

Shi Xueyun nodded and led the dozen or so children away, leaving that hellish place behind.

After they had left, with a WHOOSH, a flame ignited in Yi Tianyun’s hand—it was the Immortal Fire.

’This must be where that Bloodthirsty Ancestor absorbs Essence Blood. So conquering the Earth Realm Continent was all about kidnapping more children... Those damn bastards!’ Yi Tianyun furiously flung the Immortal Fire. It spread rapidly, and he continued to hurl out more and more of it, until raging flames engulfed the entire area.

He didn’t care what Treasures might be hidden here. Without a second glance, he flung fire everywhere, intent on burning it all to ash!

Once the fire was raging, Yi Tianyun quickly withdrew, his heart heavy. ’These Cultivators,’ he thought, ’for the sake of a breakthrough, for a longer life... there’s no depraved act they won’t commit.’

When he emerged, the grounds outside had been all but destroyed by the Black Dragon and the Snow Wolf. Both were extremely ferocious Demon Beasts with high cultivation levels, so the destruction they wrought upon the buildings was staggering. The Black Dragon in particular, with its enormous size, could overwhelm anything in its path.

By the time he came out, all the buildings in sight looked as if they had been swept away, leaving nothing but a field of ruins.

All the disciples present had either died or fled. The Black Dragon and Snow Wolf couldn’t have killed every single disciple by themselves. Besides, Yi Tianyun was not an especially bloodthirsty person, so he hadn’t ordered a complete massacre.

"Is it done? Let’s go, then. We’ll take these children back with us." Shi Xueyun paused for a moment before adding, "Back to Merak Palace."

"Them..." Yi Tianyun trailed off, seeming to realize something.

Shi Xueyun nodded gently. There was no question that the children’s parents were already dead. Their children had been stolen from them, and they surely would have resisted. Resistance would have been a death sentence. It wasn’t impossible that some had survived, but for now, the best solution was to take the children back to Merak Palace.

"Alright. Aunt, wait for me a moment."

As they prepared to leave, Yi Tianyun nodded to Shi Xueyun and ran over to the enormous stone stele at the entrance. It was engraved with the three large words: "Cyan Profound Mansion." He drew his Blood Dragon Bone Blade. A thick Evil Qi flowed from the Bone Blade, making it seem as if he held a living Blood Dragon in his hand. The Dragon Scales covering its surface were astonishingly lifelike.

The Blood Dragon Bone Blade had been forged from the bones of a Blood Dragon, which was why it possessed such intense Dragon Power. Its abilities were somewhat limited, however. It had no special effects, but as a powerful high-grade Soul Artifact, it was more than enough.

He raised the blade and slashed viciously at the massive stele. He carved two deep gashes across the words "Cyan Profound Mansion," forming a huge X.
