Chapter 383: Chapter 41: Ksitigarbha’s Demise, Authority of the 9 Nethers

The Great Bodhisattva Ksitigarbha at his side, however, reacted with extreme speed. He cast aside any pretense of concealment and, under Lamp Buddha’s astonished gaze, once again merged his body with this vast expanse of the Nine Nether!

"Are you two from Douluo Palace? This is a misunderstanding!"

The question boomed out, resonating through the Nine Nether.

With the Profound Yellow Pagoda floating above his head, Lu Xuan gazed at the giant face formed from Chaos Qi and said indifferently,

"You guess."

As Lu Xuan spoke, Xuandu, who was standing to the side, strode forward while holding up the Taiji Diagram.

The Taiji Diagram bloomed with countless rays of rosy light and auspicious colors. Prophecies of the Great Dao circled its exterior, while Talismans of heaven and earth flickered within.

It also emitted seventy-two hues of brilliant light and seventy-two shades of auspicious aura, illuminating the mountains and rivers and shaking the very cosmos!

RRRIIP!

Xuandu activated the diagram, unleashing a stream of Yin Yang and Profound Yellow energy that transformed into a great tide. It tore apart the giant face formed from Chaos Qi before striking this region of the Nine Nether!

Nine Nether Ksitigarbha let out an involuntary cry, his initial composure completely gone. His voice became urgent:

"This is a misunderstanding! Please, show mercy!"

Xuandu ignored him. Pouring his Great Magical Power into the Taiji Diagram once more, he caused it to transform into the White Jade Golden Bridge, which came crashing down with a tremendous RUMBLE, threatening to suppress this entire region of the Nine Nether!

Ksitigarbha, who was merged with the Nine Nether, finally lost his composure. Bolstered by the power of the Nine Nether, he unleashed his own Divine Techniques.

Instantly, two enormous pupils materialized within the void of the Nine Nether. They reflected ten hues of colored glaze and the treasures of All Realms, then fully solidified and struck out at the White Jade Golden Bridge—only to shatter in the blink of an eye!

"Your Excellency, do not force my hand!"

Nine Nether Ksitigarbha’s voice deepened as he deployed a Great Killing Skill. He shattered a piece of the Netherworld, then reformed its fragments into a giant fist that struck downward. His target, however, was not Xuandu, but Lu Xuan, who stood off to the side!

Lamp Buddha silently shook his head.

The next instant, the great Netherworld fist smashed down. Myriad rays of brilliant light converged into a single beam, striking Lu Xuan square in the chest with a loud DONG. And then...

And then, nothing.

Even though Lu Xuan had no ability to control the Heaven and Earth Exquisite Profound Yellow Pagoda,

this punch from Nine Nether Ksitigarbha, a blow that could have pierced through an Upper Celestial Venerable or an Ancient Buddha, merely stirred a faint ripple across Lu Xuan’s chest.

The ripple traveled upward along the Profound Yellow Qi that suffused his skin, causing the Small Pagoda to tremble slightly. That was all.

"This..." Nine Nether Ksitigarbha was stunned. Lamp Buddha shook his head and said, "The Heaven and Earth Exquisite Profound Yellow Pagoda is a Dao Fruit Level Supreme Treasure. It possesses the Dao Fruit Level Profound Mystery of ’Innate Invincibility.’ What were you thinking?"

After a pause, he added with a chuckle,

"The only reason you could even make it tremble a bit is because the Profound Yellow Emperor has not yet mastered the pagoda..."

As he spoke, Xuandu repeatedly activated the Taiji Diagram, unleashing Great Killing Skills that hacked away at this region of the Nine Nether until it began to crumble!

Nine Nether Ksitigarbha cried out in pain. He was currently one with this region of the Nine Nether; when the Nine Nether was wounded, so was he. Unable to bear it any longer, he cried out for help:

"Buddha, help me!"

Lamp Buddha, who had been enjoying the spectacle, was taken aback for a moment. Then, as if remembering something, a smile spread across his face.

"Very well."

The words had barely left his lips when the Daluo Level Buddha took action. The Past Adornment Kalpa materialized in his palm. He flipped his hand, and the Past Adornment Kalpa poured down—not to help, but to wash over Nine Nether Ksitigarbha!

Nine Nether Ksitigarbha was stunned yet again. As he defended himself, he roared in fury:

"Buddha, why are you helping outsiders?!"

"You guess," Lamp Buddha said, beaming. He made the flower-picking mudra and, with a flick of two fingers, sent out a single droplet of water that overflowed with the treasured light of All Realms.

The droplet then swelled, transforming into the vast Infinite World Adornment Sea, which smashed this region of the Nine Nether to pieces!

Nine Nether Ksitigarbha was utterly desperate now. He roared again:

"Can we stop and negotiate a truce?"

Lamp Buddha and Xuandu paused for a moment, both turning their gazes toward Lu Xuan. This shocked Nine Nether Ksitigarbha yet again.

’These two... one of them wielded the legendary Taiji Diagram and embodied a portion of the authority over heaven and earth, while the other was a Past Buddha, one of the Three Historical Buddhas. And yet, right now, they both seemed to be waiting for the Profound Yellow Emperor’s decision?’

The next moment, Lu Xuan smiled:

"No."

As soon as he spoke, Xuandu and Lamp Buddha joined forces, smashing this region of the Nine Nether until it began to collapse.

At this, Nine Nether Ksitigarbha let out a thunderous roar:

"If you wish for mutual destruction, then mutual destruction it shall be!"

With a thought, he caused this region of the Nine Nether to contract and condense. Lu Xuan, Xuandu, and Lamp Buddha were immediately flung out of the Nine Nether, falling into a place with no up or down, no left, right, front, or back—a place near the Origin where even Time itself grew faint.

The shattered region of the Nine Nether condensed into a giant humanoid form and bellowed fiercely,

"My Buddha is merciful!"

The giant figure clasped its hands together, erupting with an infinite nether light. Accompanied by the phenomenon of wailing gods and howling ghosts, it struck out at the three of them!

"Pointless," Xuandu said curtly. He poured all his power into the Taiji Diagram, once again transforming it into the White Jade Golden Bridge, which smashed down from above and pierced straight through the giant humanoid form!

That region of the Nine Nether began to disintegrate. Ksitigarbha King was ripped away from it, covered in wounds and coughing up mouthfuls of blood. He was on the verge of death!

But he did not retreat. An expression of wrathful fury appeared on his face.

"I shall enter Hell."
