Chapter 791

Anna was walking in the halls of the magic academy, feeling the eyes of all of her classmates on her. She could understand it since her teacher announced to everyone, as a form of motivation to her classmates and to promote competition, that she had reached the High-Wizard rank. Just one more realm, and she would reach the rank of Archmages. If she managed to reach the archmage rank, she would be one of the few wizards in the history of Ormunda to have reached such a rank at the age of thirteen.

Right now, she was the youngest in her class, which consisted of a bunch of sixteen- to eighteen-year-old girls and boys, and out of all of them, she was the only one who had reached such a rank.

Normally, upon attaining the status of a High-Level wizard, she was supposed to move to the next class, but because of her age and lack of education, the academy decided to keep her in her current class for another year or two. She understood and accepted the academy’s concern regarding her education. She was the daughter of farmers, who had the education of a common peasant girl. At least, she could read and do basic arithmetic, but in anything else, she was almost a blank slate. The history she knew was the history of her country in Rendindura. She did not know any etiquette, so the academy was trying its best to teach her what it could so she could become a respectable noble wizard.

Apparently, because of what Anton had done, her family was now one of the most important in Ormunda, and because her brother was such a wanderer who could not stay in one place for a long time, all the things that were supposed to fall on Anton’s shoulders, like becoming a respectable Ormundan wizard, fell on her.

Because of her family’s wealth that was earned by Anton's dungeon delving, her father’s delving into dungeons business, together with Anders’s mercenary teams, and the businesses opened by the family, which also stemmed from Anton’s unique abilities, she had all the resources that she would need to become a powerful wizard.

In all honesty, the most important resource that she was currently enjoying, which was allowing her to increase her wizardry rank at an exponential rate, was the legendary magical spear that was given to her by her brother. It was called the Insight spear that gave her the ability to wield the Meditation Aura. A powerful Paladin aura that brought the effect of allowing wizards to memorize spells in an extremely short amount of time. Because of how fast a wizard that was under the said aura could memorize spells, they could train their mana pool extremely quickly compared to how one would normally memorize a spell.

At the very basic level, a wizard’s talent was based on how fast one could memorize a spell because memorizing and casting a spell was the only way to exercise their mind pool to increase its power and size, which was the factor that allowed a wizard to memorize more powerful spells and increase their wizardry rank.

Because of that, her Insight Spear was truly invaluable. The only one in the academy who knew her spear’s ability was her advisor, and that was only because her advisor did not know the full extent of how the Meditation Aura worked. Not only that, because of her brother’s recent contribution to Ormunda, which were the portal scrolls, the wizards of the academy were handling her with kid’s gloves.

Some tried to bully her, but since she was now extremely capable, having managed to memorize a large number of spells, those who tried to bully her because of envy were the ones who suffered. There were even a couple of students who withdrew from the academy and transferred somewhere else. The families of those bullies now understood that Anna and her family were truly important. 𝑓𝓇𝘦ℯ𝘸𝘦𝑏𝓃𝑜𝘷ℯ𝑙.𝑐𝑜𝓂

Not only that, but because she was a lively, extroverted girl, she had a lot of friends. Her dormmates who became her best friends, Avina, Normumu, and Alethea, always tried to protect her even though technically, she was the most powerful in her friend group. The second most powerful in her friend group, which was Alethea, was a couple of realms below her.

Anna’s life in the academy was good. There were a lot more people who wanted to become her friends rather than her enemies, and that was because of her family’s cinema business. Everyone in the academy now knew that because she was a daughter of the Sunders family, she could watch the movies in the cinema free of charge anytime she wanted, together with anyone she brought with her. Not only that, she had access to movies and television shows that the cinema did not have.

Basically, rumors had already spread in the academy that at the Rose Manor, which was Anna’s family manor, one could watch exciting movies and television shows that were still not available in the cinema. Normally, such mundane entertainment was not that eye-catching amongst wizards, but her classmates were rich, young people that was always in search of anything that could entertain them.

Not only that, information had spread that Anna had a collection of books about an orphan boy wizard in her room, called the Belgariad. Apparently, those books were supposed to be wonderful, and currently, no other story novels could compare; only her friends could enjoy those books.

Another rumor had spread that Anna’s room was filled with tamed mana that allows wizards to memorize spells faster.

That one was true since Anna brought the mirror that Anton had made for her, which allowed wizards to cast their spells on it, and the mana from the spells would be stored in the mirror and could be released in an enclosed space as tamed mana. Not only would tame mana help wizards memorize spells faster, but it also brought a tremendous amount of health benefits in the long run, like erasing skin flaws and smoothing them out, making their hair soft and luxurious, and even prolonging lives. At least that was what her teachers in the academy had said after examining the effects of tamed mana in the room.

Even though the tamed mana would dissipate over time, the fact that Anna and her three dormmates kept filling the mirror with mana since they usually cast their spells on it when they were exercising their mana pool, their rooms were almost always filled with tamed mana.

Unfortunately, the academy kept borrowing the mirror to study it. Because of that, she planned to steal Kirk, Abdul, Mesono, and Omar’s mirror and would just give her mirror to the academy. Once her brother returned from wherever he went, she could just ask Anton to create a new one for the family's four wizard apprentices. Besides, her father had left his Insight spear to them so they would not be missing out on a lot. In her opinion, her advancement was more important than anyone else since she was Anton’s sister. If Anton knew what she was thinking about, she would be gratified to learn that her brother would agree with her one hundred percent.

Anna knew that her dormmates were extremely happy staying in their dorm because of the tamed mana. One time, an influential wizard family tried to take Avina’s spot, and Avina’s family fought tooth and nail to keep her near Anna. Apparently, wizard families had learned about Anna’s mirror and its ability to produce tamed mana. The only reason Avina was able to keep her room was that Anna sided with her.
