My Infinite Cultivation System
Chapter 178: Visiting the temple
Alex returned quietly to the academy library after causing that commotion.
Usually, Alex would casually browse through various records after returning here.
But this time was different.
He sat alone beside a large window overlooking the academy grounds without opening a single book.
The battle earlier had already shaken the entire continent.
By tomorrow morning, every major power would hear about the humiliation suffered by the Light God Temple.
Five titled Douluos had descended arrogantly into Heavenly Origin Academy.
And five titled Douluos had been crushed effortlessly before countless witnesses.
Alex already knew what consequences would follow afterward.
The temple would never ignore such public humiliation easily.
However, destroying the temple entirely was not a difficult matter for him.
If he truly wished, he could erase the entire organization from existence within seconds.
Yet that solution felt unnecessarily troublesome.
This world still remained largely unknown to him.
Acting recklessly before understanding the hidden structure behind this civilization would only create pointless complications later.
His fingers tapped lightly against the wooden table beside him.
"This temple should be connected to some form of god inheritance or higher realm authority," he muttered quietly.
His eyes narrowed slightly afterward.
"But the question is whether this world possesses other existences beyond the so called God Realm."
A faint contemplative expression appeared on his face.
"Anomalies always exist eventually. I need to be careful."
The library became silent once more.
Then Alex calmly spoke again.
"Rafael."
A soft mechanical voice echoed inside his consciousness almost immediately.
[Yeah?]
"Have you connected fully with this world’s laws yet?"
Several moments passed before Rafael responded again.
[Connection established successfully.]
[This world contains numerous level one hundred existences. However, the majority of them reside inside hidden secret realms disconnected from ordinary civilization.]
Alex listened silently.
[Additionally, there exists a central continent surrounded entirely by endless mist regions. Ancient records indicate that many level one hundred experts entered that continent throughout history.]
That answer caused Alex’s fingers to pause briefly.
A faint ripple finally appeared within Alex’s previously calm gaze.
A region detached from world laws entirely was not a normal phenomenon.
That alone suggested the existence of something far beyond ordinary star realm entities.
"What about the Light God Temple?" Alex asked quietly.
Rafael answered immediately.
[There is indeed a level one hundred God Realm expert connected to the temple.]
[That individual currently resides inside a divine treasure hidden beneath the temple headquarters.]
[Historical analysis suggests he originally came from the central continent before being expelled for unknown reasons.]
Alex remained expressionless while processing the information carefully.
Interesting.
A God Realm existence expelled from the mysterious continent afterward established the current Light God Temple.
That alone already explained the temple’s terrifying authority throughout the world.
Rafael continued speaking.
[That existence rarely leaves the treasure space.]
[Whenever he remains outside for extended periods, the world’s laws begin suppressing him heavily and attempt forced ascension.]
Alex leaned slightly against his chair afterward.
"So there truly exists another higher realm connected to this world," he murmured softly.
His eyes drifted toward the moon outside again.
"But why can’t I sense any upper dimensional plane connected to this world itself?"
Normally, worlds with ascension systems maintained obvious dimensional links toward superior realms. Yet this realm felt strangely isolated despite possessing level one hundred experts.
Before Rafael could answer, another voice suddenly echoed inside his mind.
[Ding!]
[The God Realm connected to this civilization is classified as a Megaversal level world.]
[The realm itself remains detached entirely from the current universe.]
[Host may enter that realm after consuming one hundred multiversal worlds within your Inner Universe.]
Alex blinked slowly afterward.
"Directly megaversal level?"
Even he looked mildly surprised for a brief moment.
Still, the following realization eased his concerns considerably.
If the higher realm remained detached from this universe entirely, then interference from upper dimensional entities would remain extremely limited.
That reduced many future risks.
A faint smile finally appeared across Alex’s face.
"In that case..."
He slowly stood from his chair.
"...perhaps I should visit this temple personally."
The surrounding space distorted softly.
Then Alex disappeared from the library without leaving behind even the slightest fluctuation.
Meanwhile, deep inside the headquarters of the Light God Temple, the atmosphere had become suffocatingly cold.
The massive divine hall remained eerily silent beneath endless golden pillars covered in ancient scriptures. Holy flames burned quietly throughout the chamber while countless statues of divine figures towered overhead like ancient judges observing mortal sinners.
At the center of the hall, the five surviving titled Douluos knelt with pale expressions.
Their bodies trembled uncontrollably.
Especially the level ninety eight leader.
Cold sweat continuously rolled down his face while fear filled his eyes completely.
Before them stood a beautiful woman wearing luxurious golden robes decorated with divine patterns.
Her long silver blonde hair flowed behind her elegantly while immense pressure radiated invisibly from her body.
She was the current Temple Priestess.
A peak level ninety nine existence.
The strongest authority beneath the hidden God Realm ancestor.
At this moment, her calm expression felt infinitely more terrifying than violent rage.
"You are telling me..."
Her soft voice echoed slowly throughout the hall.
"...that five titled Douluos were defeated through pressure alone?"
The leader swallowed hard afterward.
"Y... yes, Priestess."
His voice nearly cracked midway.
The Priestess remained silent for several moments.
Then she lightly raised one finger.
Snap.
Boom!
A horrifying gravitational force descended instantly.
One nearby level ninety seven titled Douluo did not even have time to scream before his entire body exploded violently into minced flesh and shattered bones.
Blood splattered across the golden floor.
The remaining four titled Douluos became deathly pale instantly.
Fear exploded throughout their hearts.
That attack had happened too quickly.
Completely unavoidable.
The Priestess lowered her hand calmly afterward.
"One of my soul skills," she said indifferently.
"Ten Thousandfold Divine Gravity."
The four titled Douluos trembled harder.
None of them dared speak carelessly anymore.
The Priestess slowly looked toward the level ninety eight leader afterward.
"So."
"You were defeated."
"And now you wish the temple to ignore this humiliation entirely?"
The leader immediately lowered his head further.
"Priestess, that man is truly terrifying," he said hurriedly.
"He does not appear interested in opposing the temple directly. He only wishes to remain undisturbed."
His voice became increasingly nervous afterward.
"Perhaps... perhaps allowing this matter to end peacefully would be wiser."
The Priestess stared at him silently.
Then disgust slowly appeared within her beautiful eyes.
"Oh?"
"You believe the Light God Temple cannot suppress a mere anomaly?"
Her tone became colder gradually.
"And you still dare call yourself a Supreme Envoy of the temple?"
The leader’s face turned completely pale.
"Disgraceful."
The Priestess slowly lifted her hand again.
The remaining titled Douluos immediately felt despair consume their hearts.
They knew exactly what would happen next.
However...
Just as her fingers prepared to snap once more—
The surrounding space suddenly distorted quietly.
No warning signs appeared.
No spiritual fluctuations emerged.
One moment the hall remained empty.
The next moment, a young man dressed in white robes stood calmly at the center of the hall.
The entire divine hall froze instantly.
Every titled Douluo widened their eyes in disbelief.
Even the Priestess herself stood motionless briefly.
Nobody had sensed his arrival.
Not even her.
That realization alone sent terrifying waves throughout her heart.
The young man stood there quietly beneath the flames.
Long silver hair drifted softly behind him while his white robes remained untouched by worldly dust. His face appeared impossibly handsome beneath the golden light surrounding the hall, yet what truly shook everyone was the indescribable aura around him.
He felt detached from the mortal world itself.
As though ordinary reality could not contain his existence properly.
His calm silver eyes resembled endless universes condensed into human form.
For the first time in centuries, the Priestess felt genuine danger.
Alex slowly glanced around the hall afterward.
His gaze swept casually across the surrounding titled Douluos before finally resting upon the Priestess herself. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
Then he smiled faintly.
"Hello, Priestess."
His calm voice echoed softly throughout the silent hall.
"It’s nice to meet you."
A brief pause followed.
Then he introduced himself naturally.
"I am Alex Moriarty."
