Chapter 1202: Ye Fan and Fire Phoenix Meet
Surrounded by Twain, Green, and others, the Third Elder and the Fourth Elder watched Ye Fan with high alert. Now, escape was unrealistic; it seemed only death awaited them.
Dealing with Ye Fan was absolutely impossible, and against the Shadow Guard, they had not even a shred of a chance.
Even reporting what happened here to the organization was out of the question, as all surrounding signals were blocked. The organization couldn’t receive any information; the urgent news they wanted to convey couldn’t be delivered.
"We’re doomed!" The Third Elder thought sorrowfully, resentment creeping through his gaze at Ye Fan.
"Who could have imagined the situation would develop to this point," the Fourth Elder said bitterly.
Twain and Green remained silent. If they assessed the situation objectively without taking sides, they thought, "Terminator, once a powerful figure and legend, striking back like this is truly satisfying. How could such a strong person be coerced? Those behind this deserve to reap the consequences."
Of course, these were their innermost thoughts. Even they did not want to be forced to such an extent, let alone the Terminator. So, seeing the Terminator’s counterattack brought them a sense of joy.
Yet, their position was clear. While cheering for Ye Fan, they had to stand against him, which turned into their tragedy because being on Ye Fan’s opposing camp meant an inevitable death.
"The sounds of battle outside have stopped; it seems that most of our people are dead, and the Shadow Guard is about to storm in," the Third Elder and Fourth Elder exchanged glances, having already judged the precarious situation from the noises outside.
In an instant, Leng Mei led the Shadow Guard, wiping out the members on the perimeter and charged inside with a mighty rush.
The Third Elder and Fourth Elder instinctively retreated a few steps, watching Leng Mei and his men with fear.
"Boss!" Leng Mei looked at Ye Fan, unable to conceal his ecstatic expression.
"Boss!!" The members of the Shadow Guard looked at Ye Fan and spoke with a resounding voice.
This momentum and respect commanded awe and envy.
Leng Mei and his men were filled with heartfelt reverence.
This was the power of personal charisma; a dignified Terminator deserved such high esteem.
"You’ve worked hard!" Ye Fan looked at Leng Mei and his men and spoke lightly.
The Shadow Guard members stood straight, like pillars, responding to Ye Fan with fervent eyes.
"Hehe, it wasn’t hard, Boss!" Leng Mei rarely showed a smile.
For Leng Mei and others, as long as Ye Fan, Fire Phoenix, and the Butcher were united and not at odds, it was the most exhilarating event; nothing could make them happier.
"This is the charisma of the Terminator, earning such deep respect from the Shadow Guard—it’s a precious thing that others cannot enjoy," sighed the Third Elder.
"None of the elders from Sky Net could ever enjoy such zealous faith from their subordinates," marveled the Fourth Elder.
After a brief exchange of greetings, Leng Mei glanced coldly at the Third Elder and Fourth Elder before turning to Ye Fan and asking, "Boss, what should we do with these people?"
"It’s up to you," Ye Fan responded indifferently.
"Alright then, I know what to do," Leng Mei, having received Ye Fan’s instructions, turned to his subordinates and ordered, "Kill them!"
"Yes!" the Shadow Guard members replied, and like tigers pouncing on sheep, they charged at the Third Elder and others.
"Mr. Ye, spare us! Instead of killing us, why not keep us to work for you?" pleaded the Third Elder.
"Mr. Ye, our usefulness may not be much, but it’s better than nothing. Please be merciful," the Fourth Elder cried.
Ye Fan was unmoved, and the Shadow Guard showed no signs of stopping.
Moments later, the Third Elder and Fourth Elder were dead.
Twain, Green, and others also met grisly ends.
Against the encirclement of the Shadow Guard, the Third Elder and others had no chance of surviving.
And so, the Third Elder and others all perished.
All those from Sky Net involved in attacking the Blood Wolf Base were dead; not one survived.
Subsequently, led by Leng Mei, Ye Fan headed toward the Blood Wolf Base.
Outside the base, Fire Phoenix and her men came out to greet them.
"Boss!" The members of the Shadow Guard, upon seeing Ye Fan, shouted with voices like thunder, filled with boundless fervor and excitement.
"Boss!!" Other members of the base also cheered and shouted.
They were welcoming the king in their hearts. Once, the Terminator was a legend and myth in the Underworld. Although it was past, the passionate fervor lingering in their hearts hadn’t faded.
They could hardly contain their excitement, their eyes bright with fervor.
"Finally seeing the living Terminator, I’m Bell, greeting the Terminator," Bell said, immensely happy.
"One of the heads of the Hound Base, Bell," Ye Fan said.
"You know me?" Bell became even more excited.
"I have a good memory, so I remembered," Ye Fan replied lightly.
"You’re truly humorous," said Bell, eyes glowing brightly.
"Terminator, we meet again," Dais stepped forward, elated.
"Call me Ye Fan from now on; let the name Terminator drift away with the wind," Ye Fan said.
"It feels a bit impolite to call you by name. I’ll stick to calling you Terminator; it’s what I’m used to, and more importantly, those three words are mighty," Dais insisted.
"Suit yourselves," Ye Fan did not delve further into the matter.
Fire Phoenix looked at Ye Fan with interest, smiling as she said, "Look around. See the fervor of everyone upon your return? Even I haven’t received such treatment. I feel like my people are about to rebel."
She was undoubtedly delighted. Since the Terminator left the stage of the Underworld, she had only seen Ye Fan once. Now reunited, she was naturally overjoyed and pleased.
"Rebellion is fine; they’re your people anyway. I can bear it, but I won’t accept it. I’m already half an outsider. The matters of your world you still have to handle; I’m afraid I lack the means." Ye Fan said truthfully.
"In this world, it’s hard to stay out of things, isn’t this a well-known truth? The more you wish to stay detached, the harder it is to be certain. Let nature take its course is better," Fire Phoenix said joyfully, "Like now."
"Let’s go. You’re crowding around me like I’m an alien; I’m a bit uncomfortable," Ye Fan said.
"This isn’t the gaze of seeing an alien; it’s the fervent gaze of seeing an idol," Fire Phoenix rolled her eyes before leading the way, "After entering the base, we’ll discuss things further. From now on, let’s truly show our capabilities."
