"How is that possible?" Zhao Gui exclaimed in shock, "How did you manage to provoke this taboo figure?"

"Tell us, what exactly happened?" Zhao Zhongtian couldn’t remain calm.

Hei Pi recounted the events.

"Jian Tao and her daughter are so lucky to have ended up across from Lord Ye, becoming neighbors," Zhao Zhongtian said helplessly. "Lord Ye is a taboo existence, and that title was given to him by the underworld factions in private. Never thought it would become like this."

No big figure dares to provoke the Terminator. For those factions, the Terminator is a terrifying existence. Zhao Zhongtian said with seriousness.

"Toys are for kids; to thank an adult, we go for a meal," Jian Tao patiently explained.

Jian Tao took her daughter to visit Ye Fan and Mengyao for the second time. Mengyao was working, while Ye Fan came out to meet them.

"Uncle, Uncle, hug!" Zhao Ruixi, not shy at all, ran towards Ye Fan.

Besides Ye Fan saving her, giving Xixi a full sense of security, by Xixi’s account, Ye Fan smelled like her dad, naturally drawing her close to Ye Fan.

Ye Fan smiled warmly and picked Xixi up.

"Hello, Mr. Ye," Jian Tao nodded slightly, smiling, "Where’s President Chu? Why isn’t she here?"

"She’s working," Ye Fan answered. "Are you looking for her? Should I call her?"

"No, no, we won’t disturb President Chu. It’s fine to speak with you," Jian Tao sincerely said. "First, I wanted to thank Mr. Ye greatly; if it weren’t for you scaring away the thugs in time, my Xixi would be in big trouble. This great kindness is unforgettable and forever in my heart."

"You’re too kind, Miss Jian. Just doing what’s right; I didn’t do much," Ye Fan replied politely.

"Mr. Ye is so humble," Jian Tao earnestly said. "I came today mainly to apologize. When I saw you holding Xixi, I almost misunderstood you. My attitude wasn’t good; I hope you’ll forgive me."

"It’s natural to be protective of one’s child; no harm done," Ye Fan said lightly. Since Jian Tao realized her misunderstanding and had come to apologize, regardless of her intentions, this attitude showed she wasn’t beyond saving, which eased his mind.

"To convey my apologies and gratitude, I wish to invite Mr. Ye and President Chu for a meal. Please don’t decline; I insist," Jian Tao sincerely expressed.

"This?" Ye Fan was a bit embarrassed; he was planning to cook for Mengyao when he received this invitation, making him hesitant.

"Uncle, Uncle, come have dinner with us, please," Xixi called out.
