"Alright, then we can only leave it to fate."

Wu Mengting took a deep breath, but she wasn’t too disappointed. After all, Chen Tianlong was living well now; whether she was there or not, he was happy, and that was enough. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞

Wu Hanfeng didn’t say anything further, just continued moving forward with his daughter.

The Shaolin Temple is built on a mountain, so Wu Hanfeng and his daughter were climbing uphill. For Wu Hanfeng, a master, this distance was no problem, but Wu Mengting couldn’t keep up.

Her body was poisoned with demonic toxins, and shortly after walking, she became breathless and extremely uncomfortable.

"Mengting, let me carry you."

Wu Hanfeng spoke, bending over and patting his hand.

Wu Mengting hesitated at first, then smiled gently and walked over. Just like when she was a child, she lay on Wu Hanfeng’s back. Despite the many hardships she’d endured, looking back, everything seemed like fleeting smoke.

The only thing Wu Mengting couldn’t let go of was Chen Tianlong; he was happy, but what if one day the medicine failed? Would Chen Tianlong be in unbearable pain upon remembering her?

With tiredness creeping in, Wu Mengting fell asleep without realizing it.

As Wu Hanfeng continued uphill, he heard a distant bell; the deep ancient bell instantly evoked a sense of ancient yearning, even calming Wu Hanfeng’s heart.

Having stayed away from the bustling world for so many years, for his daughter, he re-entered the mortal realm, killing countless times. Now, hearing the bell of the Shaolin Temple reminded him of the promise he once made to Master Void.

Not to enter mundane affairs, not to inquire about worldly matters, yet no matter how powerful, one cannot escape the bindings of emotion.

Daughter, this is the emotional debt of his life. She lost all her kin overnight; if Wu Jian didn’t protect her well, he would be letting down his loved ones.

"Who goes there?" Seeing a man in his fifties carrying a young lady rush in, the monks picked up wooden sticks and blocked the way.

"Esteemed masters, I wish to see Master Void," Wu Jian said with a faint smile.

"Master Void has been in seclusion for ten years, detached from the mortal realm. Apologies, please return. Otherwise, we won’t be polite," the leader of the group, clearly their head, looked at Wu Jian. They were all Celestial Dao experts.

"Esteemed masters, I only wish for Master Void to examine my daughter, nothing more. I hope you can let me pass. I don’t wish to kill," Wu Jian said, revealing a sharp gaze that made everyone step back.

An immense surge of Powerful Qi instantly erupted, stirring up dust underfoot.

Swish, swish, swish!

Suddenly, three lightning-quick white figures appeared before Wu Jian. They were the abbot, Master Wu Hui, and his two senior brothers from Shaolin Temple.

"Donor Wu, please stop. Master Void has long detached himself from worldly matters. Please understand," Master Wu Hui clearly recognized Wu Jian, knowing his prowess equaled theirs, yet Shaolin revered tranquility, avoiding bloodshed.

"Abbot, I only wish to meet Void. As long as he can save my daughter, I will fulfill any request," Wu Jian said.

"This..."

Master Wu Hui felt troubled; Void had repeatedly instructed not to be disturbed by anyone, especially from the Mortal Realm.

At this moment, Wu Jian suddenly moved.

He finally realized these people wouldn’t let him in, not that Master Void refused to see him, but that they didn’t want the temple disturbed.

"Stop them, don’t let them escape," a senior brother urgently shouted.

Master Wu Hui took a deep breath, knowing a fierce battle was unavoidable. Wu Jian was one of the Thunderbolt Heroes, which was the reason to deny entry; his killings were countless, unsuitable to meet Master Void.

Wu Jian had been running for a while when suddenly eighteen men appeared before him, immediately forming a circle, creating an array.

The Eighteen Arhats Array.

This was within the cultivation world, not an ordinary Shaolin Temple, and the Eighteen Arhats Array comprised individuals with Indestructible Golden Bodies and Steel Bones, making passage challenging.

Wu Jian hesitated, when suddenly someone descended from the sky and stood in front of him.

It was the abbot, Master Wu Hui.

"Donor Wu, turn back while you can; don’t make further mistakes. I won’t pursue past deeds, but if you cease killing, that’s accumulating virtue."

"Old monk, if you quickly withdraw the people, no killing will occur. If I truly kill someone, it’s because you forced me," Wu Jian coldly said.

At this moment, the awakened Wu Mengting was startled at seeing so many people surrounding them. "Dad, what’s happening?"

With a bewildered expression, Wu Mengting looked at the surrounding people, maintaining a gentle demeanor.

Upon seeing Wu Mengting, Master Wu Hui gasped in surprise; it turned out Wu Jian came because of her. However, rules are rules and cannot be broken for one person.

"Mengting, you needn’t worry. Dad will definitely take you to see Master Void. Only Master Void can remove your Demonic Qi," Wu Jian said.

"But father, there are so many people. Can we pass through?" Wu Mengting didn’t oppose because she knew her father had her best interest.

"Ha-ha, these people lack the capability to stop me," Wu Jian said before sprinting forward.

"Form the array!"

With a low command, the abbot leapt into the air, vanishing within the array, while the Eighteen Bronze Men, resembling walls of Steel Bones, barred the way ahead.

"Mengting, you might need to get down for a moment, stand still and don’t move," Wu Jian instructed, lowering Wu Mengting gently, then crossing his hands over his chest before suddenly lifting them and hitting the ground.

With a mighty roar.

A tremendous Powerful Qi Flow surged forward; the ground cracked open, spreading swiftly.

The Eighteen Arhats scattered, charging at Wu Jian.

Wu Jian smiled coldly; his earlier move aimed to break their wall formation, and now their charge was a mistake leading to death.

Seeing the eighteen men rush forward, Wu Jian calmly took a step, miraculously generating eighteen figures from his body, all of which were him.

Each of these eighteen figures rushed at the Eighteen Golden Arhats, attacking from all sides. Sooner than ten seconds, nearly all Arhats had fallen.

Soon after, a master descended with a giant Prayer Bead glowing golden yellow, swung fiercely at Wu Jian’s head. He dodged swiftly, releasing a silver needle from his hands.

Li’s Acupuncture?

Master Wu Hui was astounded, urgently dodging, still feeling apprehensive.
