"Exactly. However, Madam Shang is currently unwell, we may need to find someone else." The surrounding executives echoed, and began to nominate individuals who would benefit them, sparking a noisy argument.

Seeing them turning cold-hearted towards Old Sir Shang, Ye Lu thought that even wealthy families weren’t easy to manage. Once instability arose, people below were immediately eager to fight for power and profit. Poor Old Sir Shang.

Old Sir Shang watched everything silently, his face icy.

"I understand your suggestions, indeed no dragon can be headless. I am here today to announce something. My daughter-in-law, Ye Lu, will temporarily take over the role of an executive director and in my stead run the company. I will transfer 15% of the company shares under my name to her, making her the second-largest shareholder apart from myself and Jingchen!"

At his words, not only did the elders and executives look shocked, even Ye Lu was taken aback. She was dumbfounded, thinking she had misheard.

Did Old Sir Shang know what he was saying? What did 15% of the shares in the Shang Corporation imply?

It meant that she would own 15% of the wealth of the Shang Empire worth hundreds of billions.

The figure did not shock her, what horrified her was that if Shang Jingchen were to find out upon his return, he would be absolutely furious.
