Chapter 318

CLANG! Clang! CLANG!

Kai immediately blurred into movement, parrying the spear and sword attacks to the side before stretching his hand out and grabbing a crystal club that had already formed beside him.

Swinging it forward, he bashed through the skeletons’ skulls, turning them into nothing.

With pure, efficient skill and minimal movements, Trisha deflected tons of attacks while shields could be seen shooting toward her, ready to bash into her face.

But Ray was already there, using his bare hands to block the shields, which barely moved him an inch.

Holding his arm forward, one of Van’s energy blades transformed into a hand cannon which unleashed a bright beam, smashing into the skeletons’ skulls and shattering them completely.

Even though their backs were turned to each other and they stood tightly together, it didn’t minimize their movement nor did it hinder their coordination.

Leaping into the air for a moment, an orb of light began orbiting around the Tribrid’s hands.

With a sudden swing, he sent the orb flying directly into the midst of the oncoming horde.

Booooom—!

An explosion ripped through the front lines of the creatures, causing bony limbs to fly into the air.

Kicking the ground with all his might, a thick pillar of crystal the size of a tree trunk burst forward from Kai’s position, crashing into the chests of ten creatures that stood before him.

Lifting her sword, Trisha bashed it into the hand of one of the monsters, shattering it completely before her leg whipped forward and smashed into the creature’s skull.

Grabbing it by the chest, she hurled the remnant forward, and while it was in midair, a dozen ice spikes burst forward from her palm to impale skulls and heads alike.

Whoosh—!

A blast of telekinetic force smashed into five of the creatures from Chloe’s position, and with the sheer force of the impact, their chests caved in instantly.

"Hold the line. I will go in," Ray warned, and without hesitation, he bolted forward to meet the horde of skeletons head-on, while the others quickly stood back-to-back, fighting with all their might to cover each other’s weaknesses.

A spear was thrust toward him. With a fluid spin, he avoided the tip, snatched the shaft from the air, and pulled the creature toward him.

With a swift swing of his leg,

Bang—!

The skull flew off from the neck and crashed into the face of another creature nearby.

Snapping the spear completely from the creature’s grasp, Ray clutched it tight, flipped it, and proceeded to hurl the weapon with all his might.

BANG!

The air shuddered as the projectile flew forward, crashing through the skulls of a dozen skeletons at once and tearing a gaping hole through their ranks.

Edging forward, he pounced ahead.

Mid-dash, he grabbed a discarded sword and spear from the ground and continued on his way, while ice and crystal spikes whooshed past him from behind, hitting the limbs of several creatures that had tried sneaking up on his flanks.

One skeleton was running toward him when a calculated beam from Van tore through its skull, sending the creature clattering to the ground.

Pressing his toes into the dirt, Ray exploded into the air and soon crashed down directly into the middle of thirty creatures.

The moment he landed, he wasted no time springing into action; his bone sword flew in a wide arc, disconnecting the creatures’ skulls from their necks.

With a powerful thrust of the bone spear, he ripped through the chest of another before swinging his leg to the side, shattering the ribs of an adjacent opponent.

With a grunt, he lifted the skeleton that was impaled on the bone spear in his grasp, hurling it away to free his weapon from its bony frame.

In one fluid breath, he thrust the spear backward, ripping through the hollow eye sockets of a creature trying to sneak up behind him, breaking through its skull in the process.

Lifting his sword upward, he intercepted a slash from a creature then proceeded to parry its whole limbs away before yanking his spear out and slashing it toward the creature’s neck, breaking through the bone.

But not totally ripping through it.

This gave him the opportunity to regain his footing as lightning crackled around the bone sword which he swung forward unleashing a strike that slammed into the skeleton with immense force, turning its bones into dust.

Whirling around immediately, an orb of light coalesced around the boy’s hand which he slammed into the ground.

BOOOM—!

An explosion detonated forward that sent a shockwave which shattered the creatures’ bodies, turning them into a pile of bones which was already assembling again.

With Ray in the front lines fighting like a crazy warrior, the pressure on the others reduced a bit.

As they didn’t have to worry about the creatures coming from their front.

When they deemed it fit, or when they were free, they assisted the boy a bit while focusing on their own fights.

Angling his neck to the side, a bone spear rushed past Kai’s face as he swung his hand forward which was encased in a crystal gauntlet.

Bam!

The skull splintered under the force of his strike.

In one fluid motion, he lifted his guard, blocking a sword slash from a second.

Pushing the creature away, the crystal gauntlet immediately reshaped into a club which he hauled forward, bashing it precisely into the necks of four creatures, breaking them apart and allowing their skulls to fall to the ground.

Leaping backward in time, he avoided a shield that smashed into the space he occupied just a moment ago.

Raising his hands forward, a dozen crystal spikes could be seen appearing and, unhesitatingly, they all darted toward the creatures.

Bang—! Bang—! Bang—!

The spikes crashed into their skulls, leaving behind a gaping hole in them.

’Fighting you bastards every single night for a week has allowed me to familiarize myself with your fighting pattern. Like hell you will be able to get me again!’

And as if reading his mind, more of the creatures charged toward him immediately, and the boy welcomed them happily.
