Kuro Kurogane probably should have skipped school today.

That was first thought Kuro had about five minutes after he entered the pool area and immediately received some severe psychological trauma.

Because all the heroines were in bathing suits.

And no one had told him beforehand.

"Kuro-kun!"

Akari waved to him excitedly from near the edge of the pool.

When Kuro looked up to see who was calling him.

He immediately regretted having eyes.

Akari was wearing a bright red bikini that was an exact match to her bright, bubbly personality as she cheerfully ran toward him, causing the attention of nearly every other male student around.

"Kuro-kun, look!"

"Respectfully, I am attempting to avoid that."

Akari gave him an overly pouting look.

"Why?"

"Because I need to live."

Akari had a mischievous grin on her face.

"So you do think I look good!"

"...That is a trick question."

"Correct"

She then immediately wrapped herself around his arm with her warm and soft body propped against his.

Kuro’s brain started overheating.

Meanwhile, all the other boys nearby were casting daggers at him with their glaring looks.

"Why him..."

"That guy already lives with twins..."

"Kurogane needs to just disappear."

Kuro could completely understand where they were coming from.

Too bad , Akari was not even the biggest threat he had to fear today.

That title belonged to Mina.

"Kuro-kun~"

Kuro turned.

Then turned right back around again.Swimsuit on Mina is illegal.

Two-piece black suit. Loose top hanging down off of her shoulder. Too confident!

She bends down seductively.

"My, my~"

"...stay over there, please."

"Your face was so red."

"It is sunny."

"And it is inside?"

"Then I’m dying."

Mina then burst out laughing.

Then all of a sudden , she grabbed Kuro’s wrist and pulled him towards her.

"Kya!"

When their bodies touched on the wet surface of the swimming pool, it was very light.

Then , they touched.So close, it was dangerous.Kuro stepped away immediately.

"Mina."

"Yes?"

"Personal space."

"No."

Expected. So expected.

In the meantime, Akari glared at them both.

"You’re touching him too much."

"Eh? Jealous?"

"Yes."

Direct & honest again. This made Mina laugh hard.

"This family doesn’t have brakes."

Kuro attempted to run towards the shaded chairs around the poolside.

Aoi was already waiting for Kuro by one of the chairs. Of course she would be there.

"Wow, you look like you’re tired."

"Yeah, it’s like I’ve been at war all day."

Without saying anything, Aoi held out some sunscreen.

"Please sit down."

Kuro was shocked.

"Why?"

"You will burn without sunscreen on."

"I can put it on myself."

"I know."

Silence. Suddenly Kuro felt danger.Too late.

Aoi gently pushed Kuro down into the chair while kneeling behind him.

Many nearby students noticed right away and started to look.

"WAIT!"

"THE QUIET TWIN’S GOT SUNSCREEN ON HIM?!"

"Kurogane fulfills the dream of the protagonist!"

No, Kuro didn’t fulfill the dream of the protagonist.

Because now Aoi has her fingers on Kuro’s back.

And now she is starting to spread the sun screen across his shoulders.

And Kuro’s whole nervous system shut down.

"...Aoi."

"What?"

"This is wrong."

"You’re overreacting!"

"You’re rubbing sun screen on to my bare skin."

"...True."

"That’s the problem!"

Aoi continued to spread sun-screen on him all the same.

Her touch was careful and soft and warm. And somehow that made it worse.

Then Aoi put her head closer to him, near his ear.

"Your heart is beating too fast again."

"STAY OUT OF MY I-POD!"

Meanwhile, Akari was nearby glaring at him.

"She’s cheating."

"She’s winning," Mina offered helpfully.

Akari gasped.

"Treason."

Kuro fled to save himself by jumping into the pool.

However, in doing so, that enabled the two girls to physically beat Kuro up easier.

"Kuro-kun!"

Akari splashed water right in Kuro’s face.

Kuro retaliated by splashing Akari.

Thus, a full scale water war began.

Mina joined in because it was fun;

Akari escalated it emotionally and several other random female students who happened to get caught up in the fray.

Meanwhile, Aoi observed the entire scene from where she was, and then whenever Mina suddenly hugged Kuro’s arm in the water .

"Help! I can’t swim!"

"Of course you can!"

"Emotionally."

"Kuro-kun," said Akari, sweetly.

"...What?"

"Why is Mina holding on to you again?"

Kuro said "I didn’t ask her to come,"

with a huge smile on his face.

Mina said, "The male looks good, too."

Kuro had no expressions or reaction to that.

He asked, "How do I file a report on the person who had made me feel like I had no worth?"

There was no answer to him.

Then disaster struck again with the appearance of Rika.She arrived late.

The pool area went silent for ½ second when she arrived, because there was no one there expecting her.

Rika was already very elegant and beautiful when she came to the pool in her own right.

However, there was something different about this Rika.

She was in a dark navy swimsuit with a light jacket hanging loosely over her shoulders.

Simple, elegant, and extremely attractive. Mina blinked at Rika.

Mina said "Wow".

Akari squinted and said, "That must be a hidden boss".

Aoi said nothing, turned her back to the pool area, and adjusted her eyeglasses.

Aoi said, "New, higher threat level".

Meanwhile Kuro continued to stare, and Rika noticed.

Rika asked, "Is there a problem?".

Kuro said, "No,".

Rika said, "You have not spoken since I entered the pool".

Kuro said, "I crashed my brain".

Silence.Rika turned her eyes away.

Rika said, "I understand".

Kuro looked at the pool water . A lot of danger . Mina leaned up to Kuro with a smirk.

Mina said, "Kuro-kun".

Kuro chalked up another one and said, "What".

Mina said, "Are you into intelligent girls in swimsuits?"

Kuro said, "I WANT PEACE!".

Mina said, "That is a different type for you".

Correct.Very correct.

Kuro had no energy left by late afternoon and sat in the shade.

While enjoying their drinks of cold juice after swimming, the girls casually gathered around him.

Akari was leaning against him, Aoi was sitting close to him with their legs touching, while Mina dramatically lay across the lounge chair next to him, and Rika quietly sat nearby reading a magazine.

It felt like the atmosphere had become so very normal.

Very warm. Loud. Comfortable.

He watched them all together in silence for a moment.

Then he sighed.

"This day took 10 years off my life," he said.

Akari laughed very bright.

"You had fun though, right?" she asked him.

He was about to say no but paused.

Because to be honest, there was something about watching all of those girls laugh and have so much fun together on a hot summer day that was very nice.

Too nice.

"Maybe a little," he answered quietly.

The girls all smiled instantly after he answered and, for whatever reason, that smile made his heart beat faster than all of their bikinis combined.
