My Vampire Wives Want My Blood!
Chapter 107- My Elio
Chapter 107- My Elio
"..." Elio felt like he had been slapped in the face brutally. The two were talking and dropping information that made his mind spiral into chaos. ’She knew I had Blood Energy? What? Huh? This...’
He held his face as he looked up at Brianna. He never even thought about it. The fact that a random girl he met years ago was aware of something about him that he would take him years to realize was just mind-boggling and made him question everything he lived through.
Were there other people who knew about his talent that he didn’t know? Perhaps every person he met in his life knew that, and he was simply living in bliss, unaware of that threat that lurked around him.
"Ehhhh, and who are you to judge me?" Brianna asked. "I knew about Elio way before you did, and unlike you, I am not here trying to use him for my own benefit. I came here to find the love of my life, while you are here to try and use him like a tool."
"Leave," Fiona said. "I will consider this as a mere coincidental encounter. I do not trust that you won’t try to harm him."
"I’m not leaving," Brianna replied. "Not when I finally found him after all these years."
The two girls didn’t seem to back down while Elio stood in the middle, completely lost for words. Eventually, he snapped out of it as he lifted his hands.
"Stop, stop, stop, you two." He said. "This is too much. What the hell is going on?"
"Don’t listen to her, my love. Fiona Vaylor is known for being a cunning and evil person who will do anything to achieve her goals. She doesn’t want to help you or be your friend." Brianna said.
"You-"
"Don’t say that about Fiona."
Before Fiona could defend herself, Elio looked angrily at Brianna, speaking almost instantly. The two girls were stunned for a second.
"Now, I don’t know what kind of past you two have, and I frankly do not care. But, if you ever say anything bad about Fiona again, I won’t forgive you."
His words were a clear and strong threat. He didn’t care who this girl was, and even if they were friends at some point, she meant nothing to him at this moment. Fiona was his true friend, and she had shown countless times how much she values him and how much she likes him.
He wasn’t a mere tool for her, or she would not have done all the things she had done for him that entire time.
"I... Elio, no, I didn’t..."
His words made Brianna’s smile crumble instantly as she started panicking. "I’m so sorry, I... I didn’t..."
"It’s fine." He said. "But, I still need some sort of explanation. You said you knew about my Blood Energy from back then?"
"..." Brianna looked down her face pale with fear. She had almost ruined her chances with Elio because of her own stupidity; she didn’t know he cherished Fiona that much.
"Yes, I... Well, I knew about it, but believe me, Elio, I only discovered that by sheer coincidence. Back then, I saw you unleash some of it by sheer coincidence. I promise, I didn’t approach you because I had other intentions. You were my very first friend and I didn’t want to lose you, so I didn’t tell anyone else." Brianna said with a desperate look on her face.
Elio looked at her for a second as if trying to read her eyes.
"Don’t trust her, Elio. She isn’t trustworthy." Fiona said coldly.
"Hm..." Elio squinted his eyes. "Well, I think she’s telling the truth."
"Elio..."
"What? No, Elio." Fiona raised an eyebrow. "She is clearly here because of other intentions. Her institution is probably seeking you or at least has some knowledge of you."
If that were the case, then it would be a true disaster. Fiona had to do something about this urgently. She had already ordered Alfred to look into the matter as fast as possible.
"No, Elio, please, I’m not. Think about it for a moment, if I truly had bad intentions, wouldn’t it be better if I approached you way less directly?" She asked.
"..."
Both sides tried to give him a logical argument, and for a second, Elio felt like both made sense. ’This girl probably knows some things, but I don’t think she’s that aware of my talent, or her reaction would’ve probably been different.’
Brianna seemed to only know that he had Blood Energy and that he was related to Fiona in some way.
"Well, I honestly don’t know if I can fully believe you or not yet. But, for now, I don’t think you are lying." Elio finally said after a bit of thought."
"Whoa... Elio! Thank you!" Brianna’s eyes flashed with immense happiness as she looked up. She felt as if a huge weight had been lifted off her shoulders.
"Hm..." Fiona didn’t feel satisfied with that. She knew Elio was very kind and pure-hearted, but she still didn’t like the fact that he trusted someone like Brianna Luthor so easily. However, saying anything more than that wouldn’t really help, so she decided to swallow her displeasure and focus on more important matters.
"Ok, so, what do you want now?"
"I want us to become friends again. That’s all I wish for." Brianna replied with a clear voice. She didn’t need to think about it; she had to reconnect with Elio one way or the other.
"... That’s... Look, I understand that you came here for me, and I really appreciate that, but I don’t know if we can just be friends immediately. How about we just see what happens, ok?" He asked.
"Mmmm, ok, that’s fine. I don’t want to rush things and overwhelm you." Brianna replied as she nodded her head vigorously. It didn’t matter if this wasn’t the ideal answer, as long as Elio didn’t turn her down, she was more than happy to wait patiently.
She had waited years after all, what would a few days or even weeks do?
"Well, that’s all good, let’s go, Elio. We will eat somewhere else. I have some stuff I want to talk about with you." Fiona said as she pulled Elio from his shoulder, urging him to walk away with her."
"Hey, wait," Brianna said. "Can I talk to you in private for a second, Fiona?"
"..."
"..."
The two stared at each other for a second as Elio noticed the tension. He was going to stop it before anything got out of control, but Fiona was faster.
"Fine. You can go ahead first, Elio. I will get to you in a minute."
"... Are you sure?"
"Yeah, it won’t take long. Don’t worry."
Sighing, the boy nodded and walked away. He was worried about the kind of stuff they would say to each other, but deep down, he trusted Fiona would always be wise.
’Surely it won’t be that bad... right?’
**
Meanwhile, after he left, the two girls stared at his back until he disappeared, before Brianna’s smile finally faded.
"What do you want from my Elio, Fiona Vaylor? Since when did you interest yourself in these matters?"
"It’s none of your business," Fiona replied. "And you, of all people, should stay away from him. He doesn’t need useless distractions. Elio has far too many important things to deal with, and you aren’t one of them. So, take your bags and leave, and I won’t take this as an insult."
"Hah, you don’t know how much I love him. You don’t understand the kind of sacrifices I made so I can finally get back to him. I won’t allow you to use him for your own benefit."
"I’m not using him. Elio is free to make his own choices; it’s not my problem that he chooses to stay by my side."
"Well, I’m here now, he doesn’t need your help anymore since that’s all you’re here for. You can focus on better things. I’m sure Elio will understand that." Brianna said. "The high and mighty Fiona Vaylor shouldn’t concern herself with people like me and Elio."
"Cut the crap." Fiona’s pressure unleashed slightly, pushing Brianna away. "You don’t have any idea what you’re talking about so let me clear things up for you. Elio is far more important than some nobody like you who leeched her way up to the top of her family’s company. He has things to do that you will never even comprehend."
"..."
"Now, unless you have a death wish, feel free to try me. I want to see what you want to do. But, for your sake, and for mine, let’s not do that? I’m not going to stop you from talking to Elio. But don’t try to fill his mind with your useless stuff. Love isn’t declared easily; it’s something that runs deep within the heart. What you have for him is infatuation at best."
Then, Fiona turned around and started walking away, not bothering to listen to anything else. Meanwhile, Brianna took a second to recover before looking up.
"I will prove you wrong. You just wait."
