My Wife is a Hidden Big Shot
Chapter 391 - 367: Encountering The Shadow, Saving The Lowell Family
Dawn Miles’s shy expression instantly vanished. Her gaze sharpened as she looked ahead. "Confirm—"
Ditto’s mechanical hand transformed into a remote, automatically fastening itself to Dawn Miles’s arm.
Its body leaped through the window directly onto the car roof, transforming into a heavy weapon.
Dawn Miles put on the special glasses Ditto had given her and stared straight ahead.
"Master, firearms detected at your two o’clock."
Dawn Miles immediately zoomed in with her glasses toward the two o’clock position and saw several figures in black cloaks and silver masks chasing an injured person.
This area was very remote, with no cameras along the road. For over ten kilometers in every direction, there was nothing but forested mountains.
Ivan Lowell clutched his arm, panting heavily behind a tree.
His face was covered in sweat, and significant blood loss was making his vision blur.
’I hope I can make it back!’
Suddenly, a gunshot rang out—
Ivan Lowell closed his eyes in despair...
But the pain never came. Instead, he heard several muffled grunts.
His eyes snapped open, and he glanced back warily.
He saw a red-haired figure weaving between the men like a phantom. Everywhere she went, bodies dropped to the ground.
"Don’t move. Ditto already has a lock on you."
Ivan Lowell, who had been about to take the opportunity to flee, froze in his tracks.
"Who are you?"
He watched the figure warily. She had red hair and wore a mask and glasses, obscuring her face.
She seemed to be searching the fallen men for weapons, tossing them all into a pile.
"Ditto, destroy them—"
"Understood, Master."
Immediately, a red laser beam shot out from beside him, striking the ground in a straight line.
’A la... laser weapon?’
’Who on earth is she?’
Dawn Miles walked slowly over to the man leaning against the tree, tossed him a bottle of hemostatic medicine, and turned to leave.
Holding the medicine, Ivan Lowell glanced at the car in the distance with a conflicted expression. He called out, "Miss, could you give me a ride? The Lowell Family will reward you handsomely!"
Dawn Miles hadn’t wanted to get involved, but she stopped in her tracks. Turning around, she asked in surprise, "Are you from the Lowell Family in Silverwood?"
The whole reason Dawn Miles had come here was to find the Lowell Family, one of the descendants of the Martial Gods.
She had read an account in an unofficial history about the three great Martial Gods, which mentioned the Lowell Family.
According to the records, an ancestor of the Lowell Family had been the National Guardian General, and his great achievements made the Harrow Royals wary.
Later, due to the Martial Gate incident, the Lowell Family was stripped of their titles by the Harrow Royals and exiled to a harsh, cold land to guard against the Beastmen Tribe.
After that, another major event occurred, causing a cataclysm that wiped out the Ancient Martial Arts civilization of the Ancient Times.
Before she could explore the Holy Mountain, she had to visit these three families descended from the Martial Gods.

Ivan Lowell’s heart tightened at Dawn Miles’s question, and he suddenly regretted revealing his identity.
Ever since the Lowell Family was expelled from the Martial World, they hadn’t known a moment of peace.
Internal strife had led to scores of deaths within the family. Just when the Core Lineage and the side branches had finally reconciled, these Shadow Killers had begun targeting the Lowell bloodline.
He had just escaped from their clutches, but now they had captured the Family Head.
That was why he had to rush back and inform the Young Master.
"And you are...?"
"A classmate of your Young Master. I came to see him about something."
"A classmate?" Ivan Lowell studied her with suspicion.
’The Young Master dropped out after high school. For one of his classmates to be this powerful, she could only be a scion of one of the Seven Great Families of Kingsford.’
’But I never heard that the Young Master was on good terms with anyone from the other six families when he was in school.’
"Can you still stand?" Dawn Miles asked, noticing his pale complexion.
Ivan Lowell nodded slightly. Gritting his teeth against the pain, he used the tree trunk to pull himself to his feet.
"These men are assassins. Please report them to the Martial Affairs Bureau."
Dawn Miles glanced at the men lying on the ground, then bent down, picked up a few pieces of gravel, and flicked them directly at the men’s Energy Sea Acupoints, sealing the "Power" within their bodies.
"Ditto..."
"Present, Master."
"Scan their information and report it to the Martial Affairs Bureau."
"Understood, Master."

By the time Dawn Miles drove to the Lowell Residence in Silverwood, dusk was already falling.
Yard lights were on at every house in town, but the Lowell estate was shrouded in darkness.
Ivan Lowell’s heart tightened. He quickly pushed the car door open, got out, and began pounding on the courtyard gate.
The gate was ajar and swung open with a push.
"Young Master— Master—"
But the entire residence was unnervingly quiet, as if deserted.
Clutching his wound, Ivan Lowell stumbled into the courtyard. It was pitch-black, and he couldn’t see the path.
Suddenly, a beam of light shone from behind him, illuminating the scene before him.
The house looked as if it had been ransacked; it was a complete mess.
Round bloodstains of various sizes dotted the bluish-gray courtyard tiles, a clear sign that someone had been injured.
"Young Master— Master— Mr. Holden—"
Ivan Lowell shouted frantically, his face a mask of panic.
Just then, Dawn Miles, who was right behind him, suddenly darted off in a particular direction.
"I hear breathing over here."
She headed for the kitchen, where she found a young girl shivering uncontrollably inside a giant water vat.
The girl was in a sorry state, soaked to the bone.
Her face was deathly pale, her lips purple from the cold.
Her expression was terrified, and she kept trying to shrink down into the water, as if it could protect her.
Not until Ivan Lowell, who had followed her, hurried over and cried out in surprise and relief, "Chloe..."
The girl’s eyes instantly reddened. She stood up and threw herself into Ivan Lowell’s arms.
"Ivan... SOB..."
Ivan Lowell hugged her, his heart aching for her, and lifted her straight out of the water vat.
"SOB... The Young Master... they... they were all taken away..." Chloe Lowell said between sobs, her body curling into a ball in fear.
The light illuminated the pitch-black kitchen.
Ivan Lowell carried her to a nearby stool, took off his own jacket, and draped it over her shoulders.
Dawn Miles walked over to the stove and lit it. The red glow of the fire seemed to chase away some of the chill.
Huddled and shivering, Chloe Lowell told Ivan Lowell what had happened to the family.
"They were wearing silver masks and black cloaks, just like the assassins who came last time..."
After hearing this, Dawn Miles asked, "Was there a design on the masks?"
"Yes... a centipede..."
Ivan Lowell could see she was very familiar with the Shadow Organization. He asked cautiously, "Miss, you know about the Shadow?"
Dawn Miles was boiling water. She put the lid on the pot, glanced at him, and said flatly, "I’ve had dealings with them."
Ivan Lowell’s heart tightened. "Are you an agent from the Martial Affairs Bureau?"
"No."
"Then who are you...?"
"Dawn Miles."
Ivan Lowell was instantly stunned.
’Dawn Miles...’
’Isn’t that Sunstone’s apprentice, the second daughter of the Sinclair Family, Aurora Sinclair?’
’No wonder she said she was the Young Master’s classmate.’
Ivan Lowell stared at her in shock, his hands at his sides clenching into tight fists.
’The Lowell Family is in this miserable state all because of Sunstone, yet now I have no choice but to beg his apprentice to save my family.’
Ivan Lowell clenched his jaw. He raised his hands and bowed respectfully to Dawn Miles. "Your Excellency, I implore you to set aside our past grievances and save the members of my family."
"You know where they are?"
"I do. I just escaped from them. I overheard one of them, a woman, say they were going to Niphoria to retrieve something..."
Dawn Miles immediately thought of what Drake Trent had told her about the files with the Yamada Clan, and her gaze grew several shades colder.
According to Drake Trent, Victor Trent had hidden those files with the Yamada Clan a long time ago.
Besides him and August Trent, no one else knew. However, if the Shadow Organization couldn’t find the files in the Trent Family’s labs, they would very likely think of the Yamada Clan, who were close to the Trents.
’I need to move faster.’
"Take me there..."
