My Wife is a Hidden Big Shot
Chapter 398 - 372: Ancient Secret (Part 2)
Alvin Morgan took off his boxing gloves, revealing hands wrapped in white cloth strips.
"Go get Dean Morgan."
Beta Morgan immediately ran out of the training room.
Soon, Dean Morgan walked over, drenched in sweat.
He had just been practicing the Positive Order Boxing Technique sent by Aurora in the next training room. While his master was still on the First Layer, he had already reached the Third Layer.
"Put on the gloves. Let’s test your strength."
Dean Morgan was confused, but he did as he was told. He put on the gloves and struck the center of the target with all his might.
"Congratulations. Your Punching Power has reached 3010, your Punch Speed is 0.12 seconds, and your strength is that of a First-Rank Grandmaster."
Beta Morgan and Benjamin Morgan were stunned by these numbers again.
Just last week, his test results had placed him at an Eighth-Rank Martial Arts Master.
But Dean Morgan said with some hesitation, "Master, I don’t think the equipment’s measurements are very accurate anymore. I went to the Lockwood Family’s estate yesterday and defeated Kane Lockwood."
"For real? You beat Kane Lockwood? He’s a Third-Rank Grandmaster," Beta Morgan exclaimed in disbelief.
Alvin Morgan thought for a moment, then suddenly asked, "The Positive Order Boxing Technique, what layer are you on?"
"I’m practicing the Third Layer," Dean Morgan said, his voice quiet.
Just as he’d expected, his master stiffened, an unnatural expression on his face. Dean Morgan’s heart leaped into his throat.
’He and his master had started practicing the Positive Order Boxing Technique at the same time...’
"Master, my Third Layer hasn’t reached Aurora’s standard yet."
But after he said that, Alvin Morgan’s gaze seemed to grow even colder. "Then follow me."
He led the way out.
Beta Morgan and Benjamin Morgan shot Dean Morgan a look that said, ’You’re on your own.’
Dean Morgan’s tall frame seemed to shrink, and he trailed after Alvin Morgan like a timid new bride.
"You two, come as well."
Beta Morgan and Benjamin Morgan flinched, their expressions turning serious as they hurried to follow.
Alvin Morgan led the three into his study and took the elevator down to his secret laboratory.
"Ah, my dear Master, and Beta, Benjamin, and Dean are here?"
As the elevator doors opened, the intelligent robot, Ditto, stepped forward with a cheeky greeting.
"Ditto, prepare the training simulation pod."
"Of course, Master. Are you in the mood to get tortured again today?"
Alvin Morgan’s face instantly darkened. "Ditto, shut up."
"Of course, Master." Ditto immediately lowered its voice.
Alvin Morgan turned to the three men behind him, who were trying hard to suppress their laughter, and pointed to the training simulation pod beside them. "Dean Morgan, you go in first."
This was the base’s newest simulated training pod, developed under Alvin Morgan’s direction. It looked like a round glass dome, allowing a clear view of the inside.
Many wires hung from the top, connecting to a special suit and helmet.
The suit covered Dean Morgan’s entire body, clinging tightly to him after he put it on.
His exposed head was also fitted with a special, wire-filled helmet that covered his nose and mouth completely. Luckily, it had an oxygen supply system.
Otherwise, the getup could suffocate a grown man.
Alvin Morgan had Benjamin Morgan check the suit and helmet before pressing the switch for the training simulation pod.
Next to the transparent glass dome, several large screens lit up, displaying various metrics for Dean Morgan’s body.
Just like a video game character, a multi-dimensional analysis appeared beside it, including values for Dean Morgan’s bodily pressure tolerance, bone density, and so on.
This was the first time Beta Morgan had seen any of this, and he was completely flabbergasted.
Meanwhile, a virtual scene appeared on Alvin Morgan’s main computer.
Dean Morgan was now standing on a fighting stage, preparing.
A mechanical female voice suddenly announced, "Dean Morgan, please take two steps forward. The competitive match is about to begin. Your opponent’s strength is that of a First-Rank Grandmaster."
Beta Morgan glanced back and forth between the screen and Dean Morgan in the simulation pod. All his movements were identical to the person on the computer.
As the match began, Dean Morgan started his attack.
The values on the large screens changed immediately. Dean Morgan’s Punching Power, Punch Speed, and Power pressure were all climbing steadily.
His Punching Power peaked at an astonishing 3500, which was the strength level of a Martial King according to the International Martial Alliance’s classifications.
The change in his "Power" was also immense, nearly reaching the level of a Ninth-Rank Grandmaster.
Most incredibly, his bodily pressure tolerance was three to four times higher than others of the same rank.
If you evaluated him based on a combination of these metrics, Dean Morgan’s current physical condition could probably contend with a Martial King.
Alvin Morgan adjusted the virtual opponent’s strength up to a Ninth-Rank Grandmaster.
The various physical indicators of the Ninth-Rank Grandmaster virtual opponent were close to Dean Morgan’s own stats.
This time, Dean Morgan fought for a long while, ultimately winning by a narrow margin against the Ninth-Rank Grandmaster.
Benjamin Morgan pushed up his glasses and analyzed, "Looking at it this way, for a Martial Artist, improving one’s physical condition is the real key to increasing strength."
Alvin Morgan turned off the training pod and let Dean Morgan out.
"Aurora said this is a Body Refining Boxing Technique. It can enhance a person’s physical condition, and once it reaches a certain level, one can bear and wield the Power of Heaven and Earth."
Beta Morgan’s expression sobered. "Does the Power of Heaven and Earth refer to Power?"
"She said that Power is only one part of the Power of Heaven and Earth. It’s not easy to sense, which is why there’s a difference in martial talent."
Alvin Morgan drew a stepped pyramid on the screen, then labeled the small triangle at the top as the body’s meridians and the trapezoid below it as the body itself.
He said lightly, "If we follow Aurora’s deduction, the current martial cultivation methods in the Martial World are the elite methods of the pyramid’s peak. The missing part is the Body Refining Martial Arts Method of the trapezoid below."
"If that’s really the case, then the Body Refining Martial Arts Method should be a method that benefits the masses," Benjamin Morgan quickly understood Alvin Morgan’s meaning.
Alvin Morgan tapped on the computer a couple of times and pulled up a photo of a Chameleon.
Upon seeing it, Benjamin Morgan said excitedly, "That’s right! The [God’s Blessing] that Chameleons consume has the effect of developing and strengthening the human body’s constitution. And the most notable characteristic of all Chameleons is their rapid increase in strength and extremely high explosive power. When they erupt with power, their attack strength seems to jump a whole realm..."
Beta Morgan, who was already dumbfounded, stared at the pyramid and the Chameleon on the screen. Combining it with what his master had just said, he muttered to himself in disbelief, ’Could it be that their Attack Power increases because their physical strength has reached a level where they can wield the Power of Heaven and Earth?’
Alvin Morgan glanced at him. "Not completely stupid, then."
Beta Morgan’s eyes widened, and he shouted in pleasant surprise, "Master, I’m going to go back and practice the Positive Order Boxing Technique too! Our Aurora is just too brilliant! How did she think of all this?"
But Alvin Morgan’s face instantly fell, and his voice was cold as he replied, "When all the meridians in your body have been severed, you’ll naturally figure it out too."
Beta Morgan’s smile vanished immediately. He lowered his head, not daring to speak anymore.
The atmosphere in the room quickly grew heavy. The three Morgan brothers looked at each other, none of them daring to disturb the man sitting at the computer, typing on his keyboard.
This continued until Ditto suddenly spoke up from the side, "Master, a message has arrived from Younger Brother. Connect?"
The three brothers, who were trying their best to be invisible, breathed a collective sigh of relief.
Benjamin Morgan immediately said, "Master, we’ll head up first then."
Alvin Morgan gave a slight nod.
The three brothers walked briskly toward the elevator as if a great weight had been lifted.
After they left, a slight smile appeared on Alvin Morgan’s face. "Connect."
An unfamiliar girl’s face appeared on the computer screen before him, and his smile froze.
"Aurora?"
"Morgan, I want to analyze something."
