Chapter 241: Ch-241 I Killed One Of Your Elders.

Danzo had tried every strategy he could think of against Sasuke—or, to be precise, against an elite Uchiha like Shisui. He had prepared himself to face someone of that caliber, replaying every move his former opponent had ever made, engraving them into his mind as he planned how to overcome an Uchiha completely.

In a sense, his preparations were very good.

And for a while, they worked.

He managed to give Sasuke a fair amount of trouble—forcing him to react, to adjust, to actually fight. The faint echo of clashing steel and crackling chakra lingered in the air as their battle unfolded, each exchange sharp and deliberate.

However, it was only temporary.

Because Sasuke did not possess a normal Mangekyo Sharingan.

He possessed the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan.

Clearly, Sasuke was far more powerful than Danzo had anticipated. Even now, Sasuke had not used his full strength—his control over the Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan was still incomplete. If I had mastered it... this wouldn’t have lasted even this long. A fleeting thought crossed his mind.

Had he fully mastered it, defeating Danzo would have required far fewer moves. The strategies that now managed to delay him would have crumbled instantly, amounting to nothing.

As it stood, though, Danzo’s carefully constructed plans began to fall apart one by one.

Each attempt grew more desperate. Each tactic more hollow than the last.

Until, eventually, they became completely useless.

Danzo was left with nothing—no hidden move, no final trump card strong enough to turn the tide.

Only inevitability remained.

Sasuke kept killing him, again and again.

The battlefield grew heavy with silence between each death, broken only by the faint, unsettling ripple of reality resetting itself. Danzo would fall—only to reappear moments later, his breathing harsher, his expression darker each time.

One death.

Then another.

And another.

By the ninth death, the pattern had become undeniable.

All of Danzo’s Izanagi chances were gone.

For the first time, there was no reset.

No escape.

Only the cold, unyielding end closing in.

However, when Danzo looked down at his arm, he still saw one Sharingan open.

A faint, fragile sense of assurance flickered within him.

Believing he had one final use of Izanagi left, he failed to realize the truth—he hadn’t been counting his deaths accurately at all. Instead, he had been relying entirely on the visual cue of the Sharingan embedded in his arm, trusting his eyes without question.

And that was exactly where he had fallen.

Sasuke had taken advantage of this precise oversight, weaving an illusion so subtle, so flawlessly executed, that Danzo continued to see an eye open when, in reality, it had already shut. There was no distortion obvious enough to question, no break in perception—only a quiet, perfect deception.

Thinking he was still protected, Danzo activated what he believed to be his final Izanagi and prepared to fight once more. This is not the end... not yet.

Sasuke moved.

A single, decisive strike.

He killed Danzo again.

But this time—

Nothing happened.

To Danzo’s horror, there was no transformation into mist, no reset of reality, no reappearance in an unscathed state. His body remained exactly where it was—bloodied, broken, and unmoving, Sasuke’s sword driven clean through his chest.

The world felt unbearably still.

A cold realization crept in.

Slowly, almost mechanically, Danzo lowered his gaze toward his arm again. His breath hitched as his vision focused.

The eye... was shut.

Completely.

The illusion shattered.

He had fallen for Sasuke’s scheme.

The weight of that truth crushed down on him—heavy, suffocating. Defeated... not just in battle, but in wit. Outplayed by a member of the very clan he despised most—the clan he had devoted himself to destroying.

A bitter taste filled his mouth.

His face twisted into a ferocious expression, veins bulging as rage and humiliation burned through him.

Sasuke, calm and unmoved, withdrew his sword in one smooth motion. Blood followed the blade as it slid free.

"Any last words before you die?" Sasuke asked, his voice steady and cold.

He raised his sword diagonally above his shoulder, the steel catching a faint glint of light, poised for a clean horizontal strike meant to sever Danzo’s head.

Danzo’s breathing grew ragged, but his eyes burned with defiance.

If he was going to die—

He would not go alone.

With a sudden, forceful motion, he tore open his upper kimono, exposing the sealing marks etched across his body. Chakra surged violently around him, the air growing heavy as it spiraled inward.

Without hesitation, he activated the Reverse Four Symbols Sealing Technique.

From his body, a dense, dark sphere began to form, expanding outward with a terrifying pull.

Sasuke’s eyes narrowed.

He didn’t need a full explanation to understand the danger. If I get caught in that... I’m dead.

Acting purely on instinct, Sasuke immediately retreated, his body flickering backward just before the sphere could engulf him.

The sphere continued to expand for a brief moment—silent, oppressive—before it collapsed inward like a black hole.

Everything within its reach was devoured.

There was no explosion, no sound of destruction—only a sudden, absolute absence.

And then, it was gone.

Where Danzo had been kneeling, a large portion of the bridge had vanished entirely. The structure was carved out in a clean semi-circle, as if erased from existence itself. The edges were unnaturally smooth, leaving behind a hollow void where stone and steel had once stood.

Total annihilation.

Sasuke stood still, his face solemn, the faint wind brushing past him in the aftermath.

"This bastard..." he muttered under his breath, his voice low and sharp. "He wanted to die with me... but now he’s dead."

For the first time since the battle began, Sasuke allowed himself a slight breath.

His revenge—

Was complete.

Danzo was dead.

Truly dead.

There was no trace left of him, no sign of survival, no lingering presence. The man who had orchestrated so much from the shadows had been completely erased.

It’s over...

Just at that moment, as Sasuke stood with Team Taka, a subtle shift in the air caught their attention.

Karin’s expression changed instantly.

"Multiple ninjas are approaching," she said quickly, her voice tense. "And they’re strong—very strong."

Sasuke’s gaze sharpened, his body tensing as he turned toward the source. The rest of Team Taka reacted the same way, slipping into readiness without hesitation.

Moments later, the figures came into view.

It was none other than the Hokage, arriving with her envoys.

Clearly, she was returning from the Five Kage Meeting.

Behind her stood Kakashi and Sakura, both silent, both watching.

As the three of them laid eyes on Sasuke, they came to a stop, maintaining a careful distance. The atmosphere grew heavy, thick with unspoken tension.

Sakura stepped forward slightly, her eyes trembling as they locked onto him.

"Sasuke..." she called out softly, her voice breaking, tears gathering at the corners of her eyes.

Sasuke didn’t respond to her.

Instead, his gaze shifted to the Hokage.

"Today," he said coldly, his voice steady, "I have killed Danzo—one of the elders of Konoha."

The words hung in the air.

Behind him, the members of Team Taka immediately grew tense, their bodies tightening as they prepared for any sudden movement. Chakra stirred subtly around them, each one ready to defend, ready to strike if needed.

They expected anger.

Retaliation.

An attack.

But—

Nothing came.

To their surprise, the Hokage and Kakashi remained calm. There was no visible anger on their faces, no immediate hostility in their stance. Their expressions were composed, almost... measured.

They were not reacting as expected.

Not to Danzo’s death.

Not to Sasuke’s declaration.

And that—

More than anything—

Puzzled Team Taka.
