Chapter 255: Ch-255 Gravity Against Truth.

Inoiki, after hearing Obito’s words, simply shook his head. A light chuckle escaped his lips as he said, "If I have to use some petty tricks against a pawn, like destabilizing their mentality with a few words, then how will I be able to fight the person behind you, or the person who is the mastermind? So, you are overestimating yourself.

I’m just trying to wake you up, knowing how pitiful you were in your past and how badly your life was manipulated just for the benefit of someone else. I am saying all those words out of pity, not to mock you."

As soon as Obito heard this, his expression darkened. His grip on the black staff in his hand tightened, veins faintly bulging on his arm.

"I don’t need your pity, and neither do I need to hear your words."

The moment those words left his mouth, Obito did not wait for Inoiki to say anything else. He immediately attacked.

His figure blurred and shot forward at frightening speed, the ground beneath his feet cracking from the force of his movement. The black staff in his hand cut through the air with a low hum as he closed the distance between them in an instant.

But just as he came within a few meters of Inoiki, the space around him suddenly changed.

The air became heavy.

A terrifying pressure descended from above without warning, and the gravity around Obito increased immensely. His body, which had been moving forward at full speed, was abruptly forced downward.

Boom!

Obito crashed onto the ground, his feet digging deep into the earth as a massive crater rapidly formed around him. Cracks spread in all directions, and dust rose violently into the air. Small stones and broken chunks of earth trembled and then collapsed inward under the crushing force.

Inoiki had used his psychokinesis to increase the gravity around Obito and activated his move, "Gravity Pressure," directly in Obito’s path.

The increased gravity restricted Obito’s movement and completely hindered his ability to fly, forcing him to remain grounded. However, with his current strength, he did not seem to be under too much strain.

The pressure was immense, but Obito’s enhanced physical strength and chakra allowed him to endure it. His muscles tensed, and the ground beneath his feet continued to sink lower, but he remained standing inside the crater, resisting the crushing force through sheer power alone.

Only his movement had become heavier.

Obito started moving forward, and as he did, the crater beneath him also began extending in the direction he moved. The earth cracked and collapsed under the immense pressure, forming a long trail of destruction behind him as Inoiki, with a mere thought, shifted the range of the gravity pressure along Obito’s path.

Dust and shattered stone rose around Obito’s body, but he continued advancing step by step.

Then, suddenly, one of the Truth-Seeking Orbs floating behind Obito shot forward and positioned itself directly beneath his feet. The black orb rapidly expanded and transformed into a flat, disc-shaped platform.

Obito stepped onto it without hesitation.

Using the Truth-Seeking Orb as a platform, he immediately began floating in the sky again, rising level with Inoiki once more. The air around him distorted slightly from the pressure, and the black disc hovered beneath him like a dark cloud.

However, even though Obito had returned to the sky, Inoiki’s gravity pressure was still affecting him.

The movement speed of the Truth-Seeking Orb platform was greatly restricted by the crushing force pressing down on it. As Obito moved toward Inoiki, his speed was noticeably slow. On an ordinary battlefield, it would still have looked fast.

But at this level of battle, where both of them could move in blurs and cross large distances in an instant, this speed was incredibly slow.

Inoiki narrowed his eyes slightly. His floating giant sword trembled faintly around him, as if responding to his thoughts. He was just about to use his psychokinesis to split it into multiple smaller blades and send them toward Obito from every direction.

But before he could do so, Obito suddenly raised his left hand.

There was a small hole in the center of his left palm, and behind that palm, another Truth-Seeking Orb floated silently. Obito pointed that hand directly toward Inoiki.

The Truth-Seeking Orb behind his hand immediately began to change shape.

A thin black line extended from the orb and passed through the small hole in Obito’s palm. The moment it emerged from the other side, it shot forward at terrifying speed, slicing through the air with a sharp sound.

As it extended farther and farther, the end of that black line began to widen and transform.

A large blunt mass rapidly formed at its tip, like the head of a giant hammer.

Its target was Inoiki.

As soon as Inoiki saw the attack coming toward him, he did not hesitate.

With a mere thought, he immediately created a psychokinetic barrier.

A transparent wall of distorted force appeared in front of him in an instant, causing the air around it to ripple faintly. The blunt end of Obito’s Truth-Seeking Orb weapon slammed directly into the barrier with terrifying force.

Boom!

The impact shook the surrounding air. A shockwave spread outward, and cracks instantly appeared across the surface of the psychokinetic barrier.

For a brief moment, it looked as though it would shatter.

However, under Inoiki’s control, those cracks immediately began repairing themselves. The fractured surface mended in an instant, the broken lines disappearing as if they had never existed at all. In just a second, the barrier was once again as good as new.

Seeing this scene, Obito was genuinely surprised.

His eyes narrowed slightly as he stared at the intact barrier in front of Inoiki.

He had not expected Inoiki’s psychokinetic barrier to withstand the attack of a Truth-Seeking Orb.

In Obito’s understanding, Truth-Seeking Orbs could erase all ninjutsu. Ordinary chakra-based techniques were useless against them. Whether it was elemental ninjutsu, defensive walls, or chakra barriers, almost everything would be destroyed upon contact.

It is a high manifestation of Yin and Yang Release. The basic control of objects and the formation of things come from my Yin Release, and my psychokinesis is heavily on the Yin Release side.

There is also Yang Release mixed into it, though only in a very small quantity. But even that small amount is more than enough for me to fight against your Truth-Seeking Orbs... or any attacks that can technically destroy all ninjutsu."

The blunt Truth-Seeking Orb weapon was still pressing against the barrier, yet no matter how much force Obito exerted, it could not break through.

After hearing Inoiki’s explanation, Obito quickly came back to his senses.

He understood that what Inoiki was saying was most likely true and was the only reasonable explanation for why his Truth-Seeking Orb had failed to break through the psychokinetic barrier.

Since long-range attacks were proving ineffective, Obito did not waste any more time.

He immediately dashed forward from the Truth-Seeking Orb platform beneath his feet.

The black disc remained floating behind him as his body shot through the air like a blur.

Seeing this, Inoiki also removed the gravitational pressure field he had created around Obito. He already understood that it was not particularly effective against him and was only wasting chakra for little gain.

The immense pressure in the air disappeared instantly.

At the same time, Inoiki extended his hand slightly.

The sword sheathed on his back immediately floated out on its own and landed directly in his hand. A soft sky-blue glow covered the blade as psychokinetic energy wrapped around it.

Behind him, the giant sword that had already transformed into multiple kunai-shaped blades moved with him like a swarm of steel shadows. They floated silently around him, following every shift of his body and every movement of his hand.

Then both of them collided.

Inoiki’s sword met Obito’s black staff head-on.

The moment the two weapons struck each other, a massive shockwave exploded outward. The surrounding air trembled violently, and several large rocks floating nearby cracked apart from the force alone. Dust and shattered stone scattered through the battlefield.

Inoiki’s sword glowed with sky-blue psychokinetic energy, while Obito’s black staff carried the oppressive aura of the Truth-Seeking Orbs.

At the same moment, all of the kunai-shaped blades controlled by Inoiki’s psychokinesis shot toward Obito from different directions.

Some came from behind him.

Others moved from his sides.

A few descended from above.

They closed in on him at extreme speed, surrounding him from nearly every angle.

Now that Inoiki had removed the gravitational pressure, Obito could float comfortably once more. Even while clashing directly with Inoiki, his body remained steady in the air.

As the hundreds of psychokinetically controlled blades neared him, the Truth-Seeking Orbs floating behind Obito suddenly began to transform.

The black orbs rapidly merged together and extended outward, forming a thin hemispherical shield around his body.

In an instant, Obito was completely protected inside a dark barrier made from the Truth-Seeking Orbs themselves.

The kunai-shaped blades slammed into the shield one after another.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

A storm of metallic impacts echoed through the battlefield.

However, none of the blades were able to penetrate the Truth-Seeking Orb shield.

On the contrary, as the knives collided against the black surface, the tips of the blades began to crack and shatter. The corrosive effect of the Truth-Seeking Orbs started eating away at their structure, destroying them piece by piece upon contact.
