Chapter 1392: Black Stone (Part 5)

The Halberd of Destruction that Azroth held in his hand was not a replica like the one Evan currently possessed.

It was the true Halberd of Destruction, the one that was currently inside the void space of the Tomb of the Ancient.

Even though this was merely a memory, just looking at the halberd still placed immense suffocating pressure on Evan.

Similar to his replica, the true halberd was also jet black in color, with emerald-green patterns intertwining along its handle.

However, because golden waves of the power of destruction swirled around it continuously, the jet-black halberd appeared golden from a distance.

Looking at the halberd, Evan suddenly thought of something, and his eyes widened abruptly.

’Jet black in color...’

He stared intently at the halberd in Azroth’s hand, and the more he looked at it, the more certain he became that his guess was correct.

’Damn, this guy created the Halberd of Destruction using the Shadow Forge skill. That halberd is actually his shadow.’

The moment this realization struck him, Evan could not help but think about the Halberd of Destruction resting inside the Tomb of the Ancient.

’Since Azroth created the halberd using his own shadow, does that mean the halberd inside the tomb isn’t truly a weapon, but actually his shadow itself?’

Previously, after witnessing Elora’s destructive power, Evan had assumed that Azroth must have used countless high-quality materials to forge the Halberd of Destruction, because ordinary materials could never contain Elora’s terrifying power.

The Halberd of Destruction was an Origin Grade Weapon, an existence far beyond even rank-six weapons.

That alone indicated that the materials used in its creation could not possibly be ordinary.

Yet even in his wildest dreams, Evan had never imagined that the halberd had actually been created from Azroth’s own shadow.

’No wonder this weapon is so absurdly powerful. After all, it contains the power of two completely broken existences.’

While Evan was still in shock, Azroth had already approached the Universal Tree.

Without saying a single word, he swung the halberd.

The entire world seemed to be engulfed in golden radiance that emitted terrifying waves of destruction.

And in the very next instant...

CRASH! CRASH! CRASH! - - - -

More than ten branches of the Universal Tree fell down.

A pitch-black shadow spread across every area where the branches landed, and without the slightest hesitation, Azroth stored all of them away.

Evan narrowed his eyes when he saw Azroth using the Shadow Storage skill and began wondering whether his earlier assumption about the halberd being made from shadow was actually wrong.

After all, Shadow Storage was a skill that used one’s shadow as a medium.

’No, turning his shadow into a halberd doesn’t necessarily mean he can’t still use abilities that require shadow as a medium.’

Evan silently concluded and continued watching carefully.

Just like last time, the instant Azroth chopped down the branches of the tree, the spirit of the Universal Tree appeared before him once again.

This time, however, her expression was filled with fury because Azroth had cut down more than ten branches with a single attack.

"Have you gone mad?! Do you even understand what kind of disaster will strike the entire world if you continue damaging the Universal Tree like this?!"

Azroth’s expression remained completely unchanged upon hearing the spirit’s furious words.

"I already told you. Since you refuse to hand over that thing, I can only use a different method to obtain what I want."

The spirit’s face flushed red with rage after hearing Azroth’s indifferent response.

She became so furious that she actually began laughing.

"That thing belongs to me! Why should I give it to you?!"

She roared with bloodshot eyes as the countless branches of the colossal tree behind her began to tremble violently, as though they were preparing to attack at any moment.

"Why should you give it to me?"

Azroth repeated her words thoughtfully for a moment before replying in an obvious tone.

"You should give it to me because I want it."

Evan, who was watching everything unfold could not help but feel a deep sense of helplessness as he looked at the hundreds of millions of branches of the Universal Tree shaking like giant whips, appearing ready to lash out at any moment.

The scene was extremely eerie.

Each branch of the tree was larger than an entire galaxy, covering such a vast expanse that Evan could not even see where it ended.

If something so colossal attacked him, then even with the help of his authorities, he would only be able to resist for a few seconds before being buried beneath millions of branches and crushed to death.

Unlike Evan, Azroth remained completely unfazed before the shaking Universal Tree.

He simply pointed the Halberd of Destruction toward the spirit of the tree.

"I will give you one final chance. Either hand over what I want or I will take it myself."

The spirit of the Universal Tree was already seething with rage because of what Azroth had done earlier.

And when she heard him openly threaten her, she did not even bother responding verbally.

The branches of the Universal Tree instantly moved like countless living dragons, surging toward Azroth.

How many branches did the Universal Tree possess?

Evan did not know because there were simply too many to count.

Now, seeing those endless branches covering the entire world move simultaneously in one direction nearly made him dizzy.

Azroth looked at the dense cluster of branches rushing toward him and slowly closed his eyes for a brief moment.

"Since that is what you want then so be it."

As he muttered those words, the halberd in his hand moved.

With a single swing, a wave of pure destruction burst outward, blowing away all the incoming branches instantly.

’Is he holding back?’

Evan could not help but wonder when he noticed that Azroth’s attack had merely pushed back the branches instead of destroying them outright.

Just as he was thinking that...

"Don’t always use the power inside the Halberd of Destruction in a direct manner. Try to discover different combinations and attack methods that can further enhance the power of the END contained within the halberd."

Azroth suddenly spoke while glancing toward Evan.

"Watch carefully."
