NO SECOND CHANCE, MY EX-HUSBAND
Chapter 24. JERK
The next day.
Meanwhile, elsewhere, Moana was consumed by a rage that continued to smolder.
It had been days since Sean had vanished from her life. No messages. No calls. No visits. Every time Moana called, she only got voicemail. Every message was just a single checkmark.
Sean Weasley—the man who used to be so possessive of Moana—now acted as if he’d never known his girlfriend.
Moana flung her phone onto the sofa.
"Jerk," she muttered.
She knew Sean was hiding something. He couldn’t possibly have been this busy all this time without a reason. And the only plausible reason was Clara.
"His obsession isn’t dead yet." Moana snorted.
That day, Moana made a decision.
"I’m going to follow Sean!"
From a distance, she saw Sean’s car pull out of the office area. Moana started her car’s engine, keeping a safe distance, pretending to be just another driver.
The streets began to clear as they left the city center.
However, Moana didn’t realize one thing. Sean never moved alone.
A black car suddenly cut in between them. Its headlights were blinding. The horn blared repeatedly. The driver deliberately slowed down, forcing Moana to keep her focus on them.
"How dare you!" Moana shouted, slamming the steering wheel.
By the time she managed to pass the car, Sean’s car had already vanished from view.
"Damn it!" Moana slammed the steering wheel in frustration.
She didn’t know that from that moment on, her name had been on Sean’s radar. A radar in the darkest sense, not the sweet kind of attention.
Moana hadn’t managed to keep up with Sean. And that made her chest burn.
"Sean...! You’re such a jerk!"
***********
Moana had truly lost her patience. She couldn’t keep being taken for granted. She wanted Sean. No matter what it took.
Moana knew one thing for certain: Sean Weasley wasn’t afraid of the law. The only thing he feared was disgrace.
"I know how to get you to come to my apartment. Since you keep avoiding me, since you keep rejecting my calls and ignoring my messages, I’ll have to get you here another way."
That morning, Moana sat in her apartment with her hair uncombed, her eyes puffy but burning with intensity. Her laptop was open in front of her. Her phone was in her hand. Her fingers moved quickly, almost without hesitation.
She wasn’t venting. She was waging war.
"Sean, let’s get this started, Honey!"
A post appeared on her personal Instagram account, followed by a Story tagged to several of the biggest gossip accounts.
"For so long, I’ve stayed silent. Now, enough."
The next post appeared just a few minutes later.
A photo of Moana and Sean smiling in the lobby of a luxury hotel. A photo of their hands clasped together on the beach. A photo of Sean hugging Moana from behind, his face partially obscured.
Then a long caption followed.
"Sean Weasley and I have been in a serious relationship all this time. We were almost married. We even had a pre-wedding photoshoot in Hawaii. But it was all destroyed just like that."
Netizens started flooding in. Comments exploded. Some were curious, some were shocked, and some were supportive.
Sean Weasley’s name skyrocketed. It even became a trending topic within just a few minutes.
But it wasn’t over yet.
Moana added a new Story. This time, it was bolder.
Photos of the two of them in a hotel room. Two naked bodies, their private parts covered by large, blurred stickers. Nothing explicit, but the message was clear.
"If anyone asks how serious our relationship was... here’s the answer. I was once pregnant with the heir to the Weasley family. But my child died before being born into this world."
Within minutes, online gossip media picked it up.
"JUST AN AFFAIR OR SOMEONE THAT SOON TO BE FUTURE SECOND WIFE? READ THE CONFESSION OF THE WOMAN WHO CLAIMS TO BE PREGNANT WITH THE HEIR OF A PROMINENT BUSINESSMAN"
Moana gave a small smile. She knew Sean must have seen her.
And sure enough, within minutes, Moana’s phone started vibrating wildly. Sean’s name kept popping up.
Moana didn’t answer it. She smiled smugly.
"Let’s see just how tough you are in the face of all this. If you’re not strong enough, do everything I say."
**********
Meanwhile.
At the Weasley family home, the atmosphere exploded.
Mrs. Weasley slammed her tablet down on the dining table.
"THAT ARROGANT WOMAN!" she screamed, gasping for breath. "She’s crazy!"
Mr. Weasley stood with a frozen expression, rereading the same news headline for the third time.
"She even dared to tell the media about her pregnancy. Crazy!" he said angrily.
"She’s blackmailing us," snapped Mrs. Weasley. "Sean has to stop this right now!"
"He won’t be able to," replied Mr. Weasley coldly. "Sean’s always been terrible at solving problems!"
Mrs. Weasley shot him a sharp look. "If this affects the stock—"
"It will," Mr. Weasley cut in. "Enough."
He grabbed his phone and called his trusted associate at the office.
"Handle the social media uproar right now! Keep an eye on Sean’s movements too!"
"Yes, sir."
"What about Clara’s whereabouts? Have you found her yet?"
"Not yet, sir. We’re certain that Mr. Sean is behind Mrs. Clara’s disappearance!"
"Follow Sean! Bring him to me! Why are you letting Sean get the better of you?!" Mr. Weasley raged.
*********
Thirty minutes later.
Sean arrived at Moana’s apartment, his rage nearly blinding him.
As soon as the door opened, he stormed inside.
"What the hell are you doing?!" he snapped.
Moana hadn’t even had time to close the door.
Sean grabbed his girlfriend by the throat, shoving her against the wall with an intense glare. His breathing was heavy, his eyes red.
"Are you trying to destroy me?!" he hissed.
Moana was choking, but her lips curved into a faint smile.
Slowly—very slowly—she lifted her phone, which was mounted on a tripod.
A small light in the corner of the phone screen glowed red.
LIVE.
"Don’t," she said, her voice breaking but clear, "touch me... roughly, Sean."
Sean froze.
Moana smiled widely even though his hand was still on her neck.
"I’m live," she continued calmly. "And there are tens of thousands of people watching you right now."
Sean’s face paled. He released his grip instantly, then took a step back.
"You’re crazy..." he muttered.
Moana gently rubbed her neck, then looked at the camera.
"I just wanted to talk, guys," she said sweetly to the viewers. "But it looks like... Sean is still emotional."
Sean realized one thing coldly: he had walked right into Moana’s trap.
Moana moved closer, whispering softly—close enough that the camera wouldn’t pick up her voice.
"Do as I say," she whispered. "If you want everything to be safe."
Sean glared at her with hatred. "What do you want?"
Moana turned back to the camera, smiling as if nothing had happened.
"I want clarity," she said loudly. "And an admission."
Sean knew that a single word from him now could mean a life sentence.
He fell silent.
Moana lowered her phone, ending the live stream.
The room suddenly fell silent.
"I don’t care about Clara’s position," Moana said coldly. "I don’t care about your family. But I only care about my status. I want you to marry me!"
Sean let out a short, bitter laugh. "You think that’s easy?"
Moana stared at her boyfriend without flinching. "Marry me, or your life—and your career—will be ruined!"
"Are you crazy, Moana?" Sean snapped.
"Yes! I’ve been crazy ever since I fell in love with you. I feel crazy because I’m not yet your wife. I’m crazy because I’m one step behind Clara." Moana smirked. 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
"I want to be your wife, seen by everyone. I want to go to the office with you and travel abroad with you every time you have a good project. I want to be seen as a daughter-in-law of the Weasley family. I want to look beautiful while holding your hand when you appear at important events that are then covered on national TV and posted online. I want that!" she emphasized.
Sean took a deep breath, feeling short of breath. "Moana, you’re completely out of your mind!"

The Moana livestream didn’t stop at being a fleeting spectacle. Within hours, clips of the video were spreading everywhere. Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, gossip forums, and even business news channels picked up the story. It wasn’t just because of a celebrity or a romantic scandal, but because the face of a major businessman was seen choking a woman on camera.
News headlines popped up relentlessly.
"YOUNG WEASLEY GROUP EXECUTIVE INVOLVED IN VIOLENCE AGAINST GIRLFRIEND, CAUGHT ON HER LIVE STREAM"
"WHO IS SEAN WEASLEY REALLY? SCANDALS, VIOLENCE, AND A WOMAN CLAIMING SHE’S PREGNANT OUT OF WEDLOCK"
"WEASLEY GROUP STOCKS PLUMMET; INVESTORS AWAIT CLARIFICATION"
The hashtags #SeanWeasley, #JusticeForMoana, and #WhereIsClara trended simultaneously.
Public opinion was divided, but the loudest voices were no longer about love, but about morality and the law.
"If he can choke his girlfriend on camera, what happens behind closed doors?"
"Where is his wife? Isn’t Clara Weasley still his lawful wife? Wasn’t Clara the one who was cheated on? Ah, so that mistress was choked by Sean during the live stream?"
"Is a company that big led by someone like this?"
