NO SECOND CHANCE, MY EX-HUSBAND
Chapter 45. STALKING
"Claraaaaaa! Damn it! I feel like I’m going crazy!"
Sean’s voice echoed loudly enough inside the bookstore that several customers immediately turned around in surprise.
Clara froze.
Meanwhile, Leo slowly narrowed his eyes as he stared at Sean, as if looking at someone who had completely lost control.
Sean’s breath came in rough gasps. His jaw was clenched. His gaze was fixed solely on Clara, as if he no longer cared about the people around them.
"I’m tired of seeing you with him all the time," he said again, his voice lower but far more emotional. "I’m tired of pretending to be calm."
"Sean..." Clara looked startled.
But Sean immediately laughed hollowly while rubbing his own face.
"Funny, isn’t it?" he said softly. "You used to cry every night because I was with Moana... and now I’m the one in that position."
The room suddenly felt silent.
Even Leo didn’t interrupt right away.
Because for the first time, Sean looked completely broken.
Not the cold, arrogant Sean Weasley who always felt like he was winning.
But a man who was starting to fall apart because he’d lost something he once thought would never leave.
Clara slowly lowered the book in her hand.
"I never wanted to get revenge on you," she said softly.
Sean gave a small, ironic laugh. "But it still hurts."
"Because now you finally understand what it feels like to be left behind."
Clara’s words hit him hard.
Sean turned his face away briefly while clenching his fists tighter.
Yes.
Now he understood.
He understood what it felt like to watch the person he loved start to drift away little by little.
He understood what it felt like to lose to someone else.
And what hurt the most...
Clara looked so much happier without him.
Leo finally took a step forward. "Sean, go home."
But Sean immediately glared at him.
"Shut up."
"No," Leo replied calmly. "You’re not in a stable state right now."
"I don’t need a lecture from you!"
Sean’s voice rose again, making the atmosphere in the store even more uncomfortable.
Clara let out a heavy sigh.
"Sean, enough."
Those two words immediately silenced Sean again.
Clara stared at him for a long time. Her gaze was no longer filled with love like it used to be.
But it wasn’t entirely filled with hatred either.
That was what hurt the most.
Because Sean realized...
He had lost his place in Clara’s heart, but he wasn’t hated enough to be forgotten.
And that position felt far more torturous.
"I don’t know what’s going on in your head right now," Clara said softly. "But following me everywhere won’t change the past."
Sean chuckled softly and shook his head.
"The past?" he whispered. "Damn it, I’d even be willing to relive it all if it brought you back."
Clara’s eyes trembled slightly.
But Leo cut in coldly. "And if time were rewound, you’d still cheat on me with Moana."
The room fell silent.
Sean slowly turned toward Leo.
And for the first time...
He couldn’t argue.
Because the man was right.
Sean might regret it now.
But back then, when Clara was crying and begging, he still chose Moana time and time again.
That was the part that made Sean hate himself the most.
Clara slowly looked away.
"I want to go home," she said softly to Leo.
Leo gave a small nod. "Let’s go."
And as Clara walked right past Sean...
The man suddenly felt emptier than when Moana had betrayed him.
Because now Sean realized one thing.
Moana had destroyed his self-respect.
But Clara?
Clara had shattered his heart.

The next day, Sean did it again.
STALKING Clara’s life.
And this time, he didn’t even try to make excuses for himself anymore.
That morning, his black car had been parked across from Clara’s favorite café since eight o’clock. Even though his important meeting didn’t start until ten.
But Sean remained seated quietly in the car, staring at the café’s glass window.
Soon after, Clara arrived.
She was wearing a simple white blouse with her hair tied back loosely. Unassuming. Not glamorous.
But Sean’s eyes immediately spotted her among the crowd.
Clara walked in, giving a small smile to the barista who seemed to have known her for quite some time.
"The usual, Miss Clara?" the man asked kindly.
Clara gave a slight nod. "And add a croissant today."
Sean watched it all in silence.
The little things.
Very small things.
Yet strangely, it was precisely those things that made his chest feel even tighter.
Back then, he didn’t even know what kind of coffee Clara liked.
He was too busy with his work... and Moana.
Now, seeing Clara laugh softly with someone else in a simple place like this, Sean actually felt like a stranger in her life.
"Sir..." his driver began softly. "Are we going in?"
"No."
"Then... should we wait?"
Sean didn’t answer right away.
Because, unfortunately, yes.
He really just wanted to see Clara.
---
Inside the café, Clara sat by the window with her laptop open. Every now and then, she’d read something and give a small smile to herself.
Sean watched her without blinking.
Until suddenly, someone sat down across from Clara.
It was Leo again.
Sean’s expression changed instantly.
The man even brought two glasses of cold drinks and casually placed one of them in front of Clara.
Clara looked slightly surprised, then gave a soft laugh.
"You’re here again."
Leo shrugged lightly. "Just happened to be passing by."
"A coincidence that happens way too often."
"Then just assume I did it on purpose."
Clara laughed softly again.
And Sean immediately looked away, his jaw clenched.
"Sir..." his driver spoke cautiously again.
Sean massaged his temples roughly.
"Shut up."
He was truly starting to hate the sound of Clara’s laughter when she was with Leo.
Because back then, that sound belonged to him.
---
That afternoon, Clara stepped out of the small supermarket near her apartment carrying several shopping bags.
Sean was there again.
His car was parked not too far from the supermarket entrance.
And once again, the man simply watched in silence.
Clara bought vegetables, fruit, milk, and a few basic household items.
Very simple.
Yet Sean found it oddly unsettling to see all of that.
Back then, Clara always took care of their home herself, even though they had plenty of servants.
She picked out the vegetables herself.
She cooked herself.
She even remembered Sean’s favorite foods down to the smallest details he’d never even noticed.
And Sean...
He’d never truly appreciated it.
The man let out a small, ironic chuckle as he watched Clara load her groceries into the trunk of the car.
"Why did I only realize this now..." he murmured softly.
But the next moment, Sean’s expression turned cold.
Because Leo reappeared.
The man walked casually toward Clara and immediately took two shopping bags from her hands without saying much.
Clara seemed to protest briefly, but Leo just smiled casually and continued helping her.
That simple scene instantly made Sean’s chest feel hot.
Very hot.
He even slammed the car door open and just walked out.
His driver immediately panicked. "Sir?!"
But Sean was already walking quickly toward them.
Clara only noticed Sean’s presence when he stopped right in front of their shopping cart.
Her face instantly looked exhausted.
"Sean... again?"
The tone sounded like someone who was truly starting to run out of steam dealing with the same person over and over.
And that cut deeper into Sean’s ego than any insult.
"I was just passing by," Sean lied coldly.
Leo chuckled. "You’ve been running into me a lot lately."
Sean’s gaze turned sharp.
Meanwhile, Clara closed her eyes briefly as if holding back a dizzy spell.
"Sean," she said softly, "do you realize this is starting to disrupt my life?"
Those words made Sean fall silent immediately.
Because deep down inside...
He knew.
Aware that he was starting to lose his boundaries.
But every time he saw Clara with Leo, his head felt full and his emotions immediately went haywire.
Sean stared at the bag of vegetables in Leo’s hand and said coldly, "You two are even grocery shopping together now?"
Leo replied casually, "Yeah. Normal people do eat."
Sean immediately stepped closer.
And for a moment, the atmosphere in the supermarket parking lot felt tense.
But Clara suddenly stood between them.
"Enough."
The woman looked Sean straight in the eye.
"I don’t belong to you anymore."
Those words made Sean freeze for a few seconds.
And Clara continued in a voice much calmer than her own.
"So, stop following me everywhere."
The supermarket parking lot suddenly felt quiet.
Sean stared at Clara without blinking. His jaw tightened, but this time he didn’t respond right away.
Because what Clara had just said hit too hard.
"I don’t belong to you anymore."
Those words kept echoing in his head like a voice that refused to go away.
Leo stood calmly beside Clara, holding a shopping bag, while Sean looked like a stranger who had suddenly appeared and ruined the atmosphere.
And unfortunately...nThat was the reality now.
Clara sighed softly. "Sean, I’m serious. This is exhausting."
"I just want to make sure you’re safe," Sean replied quickly.
