Omniscient Player With A 100x Reward Skill
Chapter 65: Reset, Refocus, Rebound (Ii)
[BASE SKILL SELECTED: UNYIELDING FORTRESS]
[CLASS INTEGRATION COMPLETE]
[YOU HAVE GAINED THE TANK CLASS (RANK: F)]
King felt the change immediately. His character interface updated, displaying three distinct class lines now instead of two. Mage. Combatant. Tank. Each one contributing different skill access to his overall build.
But F-Rank Tank was essentially worthless at this stage of the game. He needed to upgrade it immediately.
King opened his Class up screen and began the class advancement process.
The system displayed the costs clearly.
God Runes Required:
From - F to F+: 1000 god runes, subsequent rank-ups require an addition of 1000 God Runes till A rank.
King started with his Mage class, which was currently sitting at D-Rank.
He increased the rank to A++
Total cost: 132,000 god runes.
His Mage class now sat at A++ Rank, just one tier below the theoretical apex starting point of S. His spell power had increased dramatically, and his casting speed had improved significantly.
Next, King focused on his Combatant class, currently at F++.
He increased the rank up till B rank. And the cost displayed before him.
Total cost: 75,000 god runes.
His Combatant class clicked at B-Rank, providing substantial bonuses to physical damage output and weapon proficiency. The Gauntlet of Ruin would hit even harder now, the legendary armament’s already devastating power amplified by his improved class tier, with each rise in ranks, he grew closer to a 100 percent damage output.
Finally, King addressed the newly acquired Tank class, upgrading it to C
Total cost: 45,000 god runes.
Not as high as his other classes, but sufficient to provide meaningful defensive bonuses. His fortitude scaled upward, and Unyielding Fortress became a genuinely powerful defensive tool.
King reviewed his total expenditure.
132,000 on Mage advancement.
75,000 on Combatant advancement.
45,000 on Tank advancement. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
Total: 252,000 god runes spent.
Remaining balance: 248,000 god runes.
King opened his friend list and began distributing resources.
He transferred 50,000 god runes to Eli’s account.
Then 50,000 to Vi’s account.
And 40,000 to Maya’s account.
The transfers processed instantly, each one accompanied by a confirmation notification.
King imagined their reactions when they checked their inventories and found the windfall waiting for them. Eli would probably protest initially, insisting King should keep the resources for himself. Vi would understand immediately why he was sharing. And Maya... Maya would probably just nod and accept it without question.
A slight smile parted his lips.
King saved the remaining 142,000 god runes for future needs. He didn’t know when he’d get such rewards again so having a substantial reserve was strategically essential.
He closed the inventory interface and sat back, reviewing his updated character sheet.

The transformation was substantial. King had gone from a offensive type to something far more balanced. He could still deal devastating damage, but now he could also withstand punishment that would have incapacitated him before.
Knock Knock
A knock sounded at the door.
King closed his interface and stood, walking over to unlock and open it.
Eli stood in the hallway, his expression was totally calm. "Master King. I wanted to thank you."
"For what?" King asked, though he already knew.
"The god runes," Eli said. "I received the transfer notification. That’s an extraordinarily generous amount."
"It’s nothing," King replied honestly. "We’re a team. If you’re stronger, we all benefit."
Eli inclined his head respectfully. "Nevertheless, I appreciate the gesture."
"Actually," King said, "I wanted to ask you something. Could you help Maya with her level progression? She’s accumulated substantial runes from the Second Woe, but she’ll need guidance on optimal stat distribution."
"Of course," Eli agreed immediately. "I’d be happy to assist her."
They stood in the doorway discussing specifics, which stats Maya should prioritize given her speed-focused combat style, which skills complemented her dagger, how to balance offense and survivability.
Then King noticed movement at the end of the hallway.
Vi walked toward them with a bright smile eyched on her face. She wore simple clothes, comfortable pants and a fitted shirt, her hair pulled back to a messy bun, somewhat like how king styled his. But something in her expression suggested this wasn’t a casual visit.
Eli noticed her approach as well. The older man glanced between King and Vi, then excused himself with a slight bow.
"I’ll attend to Maya’s progression now, Master King. If you’ll excuse me."
Eli turned and walked past Vi, offering her a brief nod as he passed. But his eyes lingered on her face for just a moment, stating with a subtle knowing look.
Then Eli was gone, leaving King and Vi alone in the hallway.
Vi closed the remaining distance and embraced King without preamble, wrapping her arms around him tightly. King returned the embrace, feeling the warmth of her body against his.
"I missed you," Vi murmured against his shoulder.
"I was only in my room," King replied.
"I know. But you were... somewhere else. In your head. I could tell."
King didn’t deny it. "Well, I’m back now."
"Good."
Vi pulled back slightly, just enough to meet his eyes. Then she leaned in and kissed him.
King responded immediately, one hand moving to the back of her neck as he deepened the kiss. He stepped backward, pulling Vi into his room. She followed willingly, her arms still wrapped around him.
King kicked the door shut behind them. The lock engaged automatically with a soft click.
They broke the kiss briefly, both smiling. Vi looked up at King with an expression that mixed affection and desire and relief.
"Thank you, my love" Vi whispered.
He kissed her again, more urgently this time. Vi pressed against him, eliminating any remaining space between their bodies.
A notification chimed softly in King’s interface, but he ignored it completely, his attention focused entirely on Vi. The notification could wait. Everything could wait.
Right now, there was only this moment.
The notification pulsed once more, then faded to background priority.
[THE ALL-GOOD HAS STARTED FOLLOWING YOU]
[FAN COUNT: 86,002]
But King didn’t see it. He was already lost in Vi’s kiss, the world outside temporarily forgotten.
