One-Eyed Monster
Chapter 961 - 959: Destiny (Part 2)
Igor was bewildered, not understanding what Tobin meant by his words at this moment.
Everything was fine just a moment ago, so why did he suddenly bring up Guru Mountain? Igor felt that there was no connection between here and Guru Mountain at all.
Moreover, that meaningful phrase about destiny from Sol made Igor even more puzzled.
What exactly has happened? Or rather, what connection does Sol have with Guru Mountain?
"I know you are confused right now, but it’s a long story, and now is not the time to discuss these matters." Sol immediately cut off the questions Igor was about to ask.
"Then, what should we do!" Igor promptly changed his attitude, putting aside his previous confusion. He could see Sol’s seriousness, so he decided not to cause trouble.
"Prepare for combat," Sol said, his heart calm without a single ripple.
This sudden order caught the Resistor cadres off guard. What on earth, how did they suddenly have to prepare for battle? Aren’t they still within the Barrier?
Igor looked at everyone with confusion, then noticed others also looking at him with puzzled expressions. Everyone looked at each other, not understanding what Sol meant at all.
"Don’t look at me with such confusion. Soon you will know what I mean!" Sol was very composed, crossing his hands and gradually floating in the air, which was his posture when preparing for a tough fight. He had used this stance only twice before in this Border Realm, and this was the third time the cadres had seen him use it.
"He can actually fly!" Igor’s face revealed an astonished expression!
"What’s the big deal, he’s our leader of the Resistors!" The Mos Brothers were full of excitement.
Sol’s state indicated that they were in for a serious fight, although they didn’t know who the opponent was, but they were very excited at this moment. 𝗳𝐫𝚎𝗲𝚠𝚎𝗯𝕟𝐨𝘃𝚎𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝗺
Only Sol understood what was going on. Guru Mountain, that distant place, he had never set foot there, yet this mountain range was closely connected to his destiny.
Tobin Sol knew about Guru Mountain back when he was hunting lightning.
But that was a long time ago, and he wasn’t willing to mention it now. This Border Realm is the convergence of several worlds, and the lightning he captured was at this convergence point.
Tobin Sol was an ancient Hunter, his understanding of this world was very different from that of other Adventurers with Class.
The Sol Family lost its glorious status due to the rise of the Hunters, a rise caused by the prominence of the Spirit Power System among the Adventurers with Class on the Yowein Continent. To revive his family, Tobin Sol began studying the Spirit Power System and then discovered that everything has a spirit.
He captured lightning, and in his eyes, he had captured a living being, while in the eyes of the Adventurers, his spirit power was in tune with nature, awakening a Spirit Entity.
Similar scenarios were not uncommon among Adventurers but mostly occurred in the realm of the Wizards, with Wind Wizards awakening Wind Spirits, Flame Wizards awakening Fire Spirit Entities, Water Wizards awakening Water Spirits...
However, Tobin Sol was not a Wizard, he was just an ancient Hunter, operating on an entirely different frequency from the Adventurers with Class.
Nevertheless, this detachment allowed him to achieve unexpected gains.
The world Igor understood was the one known to Adventurers, and now Adventurers were gradually approaching the spirit world, and the mysterious veil of Spirit Power was being gradually unveiled.
And Tobin Sol had suddenly entered this world of spirit; by capturing the lightning, he understood where the power that enabled other families to rise rapidly came from.
And entering this Border Realm was because he discovered this power wasn’t so simple!
Guru Mountain appeared during Tobin Sol’s continuous exploration of lightning.
If using Igor’s way of understanding, Tobin Sol’s experience should be understood like this.
Through his own power, Sol captured lightning and discovered they could engage in deep communication with him because he and the lightning entered an Inner World together, going deeper and deeper, eventually reaching the spirit world. This lightning was a spirit, a spirit awakened by Sol. This spirit informed Sol that changes were happening in their world, differing significantly from the past. They couldn’t find the reason for this change, but it seemed dangerous. So Sol followed this spirit to explore the entire incident and found himself increasingly drawn into this world. The Lightning Spirit informed Sol that many unknown forces were converging on the convergence points of the worlds and seemed connected to their spirit world. These unknown forces broke through a boundary using their spirit power and flowed into another world. And now, this world was the one where Sol and his people existed.
Among them, a powerful blue-skinned force had already entered their world, and this blue-skinned monster was right at Guru Mountain.
Sol was a very ambitious person, gradually realizing he had a significant mission to shoulder. This sense of responsibility made him feel his destiny was intertwined with the entire world.
Because he knew that if this world fell, then the revival of the Sol Family would be meaningless.
If the place where they lived fell, then nothing would have any meaning. His destiny took a turn at this precise moment.
The appearance of the Border Realm made it difficult for Sol to extricate himself; his consciousness lingered in this place for a long time, and he even felt that his physical body might be abandoned by the world, but in this Border Realm, as long as consciousness existed, he could resist.
This Border Realm was a place he discovered during his exploration, and the deeper his interaction with thunder, the deeper he became ensnared in this world. The awakened Lightning Spirit Entity informed him that no matter whose world it was, it needed to be defended, both the spirit world and their world were undergoing significant changes, all needing them to protect them. Therefore, spirits and them cooperated to snipe and resist here!
My destiny is closely connected with Guru Mountain because the Teleportation Portal leading from the Border Realm I protect, leads to Guru Mountain!
A blue-skinned monster has already passed through, and I must not allow any more monsters to reach that world!
Igor scratched his head, understanding part of the story from Stan Sol’s narrative, but still a bit puzzled. If the monster had been teleported to Guru Mountain, then were those Soul Devourers, who occupied others’ physical bodies, also going to Guru Mountain? If so, wouldn’t Guru Mountain be very lively? And if his consciousness were to return to his physical body, would it also go to Guru Mountain? His physical body was currently in Dean Hoffman’s basement; would his sudden disappearance cause a commotion!
