Chapter 799: Chapter 799: Hypnos Serum | The Total Defeat of G-5 and the Straw Hats

On the battlefield before the Research Institute, silence reigned. The only sounds remaining were from the duel between Law and Smoker in the distance.

"Wasted two vials of my M-13 drug. What a nuisance," Jason muttered, scanning the field. Everyone lay on the snow like "corpses," plunged into a profound, deep sleep.

This included Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, the Hakuba persona, and even the "Berserking" Otto. No one was spared. They were completely at his mercy.

Indeed, Jason had effectively "one-shotted" everyone. Using the power of medicine, one man had wiped out the entire Straw Hat crew and the G-5 Marines.

Checking the efficacy of the M-13, Jason took a copper flask from his waist. He walked among his own men, placing a single drop of an unknown liquid, the antidote, on the face of each Chris Pirate.

Before long, his crew members woke up, looking utterly confused as they stared at the field of "corpses."

"What happened?"

"Jason-sama wiped everyone out?!"

"Since when were doctors this terrifying?"

"Is it too late for me to go to medical school?"

Jason saw there were still many to wake, so he beckoned his men over. "You lot, come help. Just one drop on the face."

He distributed the antidote to a dozen subordinates, and the process accelerated.

Cavendish groaned, gripping his sword Durandal as he pushed himself up. He looked at the bodies with a mix of embarrassment and confusion. "What happened? Is it over?"

On the other side, Otto, now back in human form, scrambled up. He scanned the area warily, only relaxing when he saw that only his allies were awake. He frowned, remembering the fight, and looked at Jason with a sour expression. "Physician Jason... did you use that thing?"

"I had no choice. One of you is a bloodthirsty madman in his sub-personality, and the other is a beast with no reason. I didn’t want to be killed by my own teammates," Jason snapped, glaring at Otto and Cavendish. "Besides, the Straw Hats were surprisingly strong."

"Heh," Otto grinned. "That expensive-as-hell stuff actually came in handy. It even put me down while I was Berserking."

Cavendish walked over, catching the tail end of the conversation. "What ’stuff’? What’s expensive? Was it Jason who knocked us out?"

"Exactly. M-13 drug," Otto explained. "Jason’s masterpiece. Even for Calamodus, a dose of two vials is enough."

"Of course," Jason said with a touch of pride. "Even for monsters like Big Mom or Kaido, it’s just a matter of using a few more vials."

"WHAT?! You have stuff like that?!" Cavendish’s eyes nearly popped out of his head.

He knew about Calamodus, the legendary monster the Captain had tamed from the Calm Belt. It was a creature with impenetrable skin, high-speed regeneration, and immunity to all toxins. If even that beast couldn’t resist it, it was no wonder they had fallen.

Seeing Cavendish’s shock, Jason felt quite smug. The M-13 drug was the pinnacle of his neurological research. It targeted the human nervous system to force a deep coma. Because it vaporized into microscopic particles, it worked through both inhalation and skin contact.

In clear weather, three vials would be enough to turn a city of 100,000 people into a silent graveyard. Jason called it "Hypnos," a drug he believed could even take down a Yonko. Best of all, it had no side effects; it was safer and more "eco-friendly" than any anesthetic or sleeping pill.

However, the ingredients were exorbitant and the refining process was exhausting. Even for Jason, he only had a handful of vials.

Just then, Law’s ROOM disappeared.

"Ah, looks like the fight over there is over too," Otto noted.

"Those brats from the ’Worst Generation’... I’ll kill them all eventually," Cavendish grumbled.

Jason watched a figure slowly approaching from the distance. "It seems those ’Worst Generation’ kids really do have some skill."

Trafalgar Law walked toward them, carrying his nodachi, Kikoku, over his shoulder. He appeared completely unharmed. In his hand, he held a strange, cubical object.

"That’s..."

Seeing the unconscious Marines and Straw Hats, Law’s expression shifted, his pupils constricting. He looked deeply at Otto, Cavendish, and Jason, finally settling his gaze on the doctor.

"They have no visible wounds... Head Physician Jason, I assume this is your handiwork?" Law asked, his voice steady but certain.

"Just some sedatives. A minor trick," Jason said with a dismissive wave.

"Heh." Law gave Jason a wary look and let out a dry chuckle. He held up the cube in his hand. "This is Smoker’s heart. If I crush it, the Navy loses a Vice Admiral."

"That’s... a heart?!" Otto and Cavendish stared at the square object, bewildered. Why was it a cube?

Jason leaned in, frowning slightly. "It is indeed a human heart, still attached to some muscle tissue." As a world-class doctor, he had performed countless dissections; he knew the human anatomy perfectly.

As he spoke, the cube in Law’s hand gave a rhythmic throb, pulsing like a living thing. That was enough to convince the others.

Jason smiled, a flash of professional fanaticism in his eyes. "Law, that’s your Op-Op Fruit ability, isn’t it? You’re a lucky brat. That’s an ability every doctor dreams of."

"If I didn’t already have a Devil Fruit power, I’d ask the Captain to drag you back so I could seize it for myself." Clearly, Jason was well-informed about the Op-Op Fruit.

"Then I suppose I’m lucky indeed," Law replied, his face impassive. "What now? Do we kill them all?"

"Bind them all with Seastone chains. Let them suffer a bit out here in the cold. My medicine is too expensive to waste," Jason said coldly, still mourning his two vials of M-13.

He paused, then added, "Then we’ll contact Captain Aeridar and see what he commands."

Dealing with the Navy and the Straw Hats involved too many high-level variables. Garp, Dragon, Red-Haired Shanks... none of them were people to be trifled with. They couldn’t make this decision on their own. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

"Fine by me," Law said simply. He turned and headed back toward the Research Institute.

Watching his back, Jason narrowed his eyes. That guy... I’ll have to ask Caesar what his real goal is later.
