"Enel!!!"

In an instant, every face on the battlefield contorted.

Surprise, shock, panic, disbelief. A kaleidoscope of emotions washed over the crowd.

"Damn it! How did it come to this?" Law’s expression turned deathly grim, his earlier composure vanishing entirely.

"Tch... a real monster has shown up!" Smoker’s jaw tightened, his muscles coiling in immediate tension.

"That guy... the man we encountered back in Water 7!"

"We’re doomed! We’re actually facing him again!"

"Heavens! Why does it have to be this freak?!"

The Straw Hat crew stared in horror. Several turned pale as ghosts, haunted by the memory of the mountain-sized giant of lightning that had loomed over Water 7.

"Thunder God, Enel!"

"A high-ranking officer of the Chris Pirates!"

"He’s a Logia user with the Rumble-Rumble Fruit... how are we supposed to win against that?"

While the G-5 Marines collapsed in despair, some sinking to their knees, the research institute guards erupted in cheers.

"Finally! Enel-sama is here!"

"Talk about powerful reinforcements!"

"You bastards! Prepare to be turned to ash by Enel-sama’s power!"

"Honestly, you’re looking surprisingly good to me right now," Jason said, a smirk finally breaking across his face as he looked at Enel.

"Hmph. If it weren’t for the Captain’s orders, I wouldn’t have bothered saving you even if you were dead," Enel retorted with a dismissive wave.

Jason’s smile faltered. "Right. Everything about you is fine... except for that mouth."

"Shurororororo! Shurororororo!"

Caesar’s head floated up in a cloud of gas, laughing with manic glee. "Law! You didn’t see this coming, did you? Your end is here!"

"Law, you might have dealt with Vergo, but I’m sure he made you pay a price!" Monet glared at Law, her eyes burning with hatred. A cruel sneer played on her lips. "Your group is battered, your stamina is spent. What can you possibly do against this man now, Law?"

"Monet..."

Law looked at her, his heart sinking. This entire operation had been a grueling uphill battle. Vergo, the "Demon Bamboo" and G-5 Base Commander, along with the Chris Pirates’ Fourth Captain, "Orc" Otto, and the officer Cavendish, were all world-renowned powerhouses.

Fighting Vergo alone had left Law and Smoker with serious injuries between them. And while Straw Hat appeared to have defeated Otto, he was clearly at his limit, his fighting strength halved at best.

More than half the Straw Hat crew was wounded or incapacitated, and the G-5 Marines had suffered heavy casualties. Now, on top of everything, a high-ranking officer of the Chris Pirates had arrived, the man who held the title of "Thunder God," wielder of the ultimate Logia power.

A walking natural disaster. This was a true crisis.

Suddenly, another shadow appeared in the corridor. Cavendish emerged, hauling the unconscious Otto over his shoulder.

THUD—

Cavendish, looking somewhat scorched and wearing a dark scowl, dumped Otto’s heavy body onto the ground. He pointed an accusatory finger at Enel. "You bastard, Enel! Waking me up with a lightning strike... I’ll never forgive you! You jerk! You bastard!"

"Shut it, narcissist. This is the mess you lot made," Enel glanced at him irritably.

"Hey, Cabbage! Where’s Zoro?" Luffy asked, surprised to see Cavendish. If he was here, did that mean Zoro had lost?

Cavendish scratched the back of his head. "Roronoa? I don’t know. We got separated back in Building B..."

Then, he did a double-take, his teeth sharpening as he roared, "Bastard! Straw Hat! What the hell is ’Cabbage’?! I am Cavendish, the Noble of the Pirates!"

"Oh, really? My bad, Cabbage-dish!" Luffy blinked and gave a quick, apologetic bow.

"It’s Cavendish! Not Cabbage-dish!" he screamed, fuming.

"Got it, Cabbage-dish," Luffy nodded solemnly.

"Straw Hat...!" Cavendish stomped his feet in a fit of rage.

The Straw Hat crew breathed a sigh of relief knowing Zoro hadn’t been defeated, but they could only watch the bickering duo with speechless exasperation.

"Enough!"

Enel rolled his eyes, his voice cutting through the noise. He scanned the crowd before settling his predatory gaze on Luffy. "Straw Hat... we meet again. This time, that old man Garp isn’t here to protect you."

"Enel..." Luffy looked up, his gaze cold and resolute. "This time, I don’t need Grandpa’s protection!"

Enel’s lips curled into a vicious sneer. "Is that so? Doesn’t matter either way. I won’t let a single one of you leave Punk Hazard alive!"

Crackle—!

The next instant, arcs of electricity danced across Enel’s body. He transformed into a streak of lightning, appearing instantly in front of Luffy.

BOOM—!

A golden staff, wreathed in both Haki and lightning, slammed into Luffy’s head. The force sent him flying horizontally, leaving only a few droplets of blood behind.

Luffy crashed into a wall dozens of meters away, the impact cratering the stone and burying him in a cloud of dust.

"Luffy!"

"So fast!"

Shocked cries rang out.

"ROOM!"

A translucent dome expanded instantly, engulfing everyone. Law, sword in hand, blinked in front of Enel and swung down with a lethal strike.

CLANG—!

Enel raised his golden staff, blocking the blade with ease.

"Kid, betraying the Captain was the worst decision you ever made," Enel hissed, his eyes filled with murderous intent.

Zzzzt—Zzzzt—!

Enel erupted with lightning, the sound like ten thousand birds chirping. High-voltage current surged through the golden staff into the cursed blade Kikoku, and finally into Law himself.

"AAAAAUGH!"

Law screamed as the electrical surge enveloped him. Seconds later, the light faded, leaving him scorched and smoking, his eyes rolled back.

"Hmph."

Enel snorted with disdain and delivered a sweeping kick that sent Law tumbling ten meters away.

"Diable Jambe—Bien Cuit: Grill Shoot... Spectrum!!!"

Sanji roared, leaping into the air and kick-stepping off the atmosphere to reach Enel. His glowing, red-hot legs blurred into a flurry of kicks.

Flash—!

Just before the strikes could connect, Enel dissolved into light and reappeared directly behind Sanji.

"Too slow."

The lightning solidified back into a human form as Enel reached out a palm toward Sanji’s back.

"20 Million Volts... Discharge!!!"

The roar of thunder drowned out all other sound as the massive current surged through the air and into Sanji.

"AAAAAAGH!"

Sanji collapsed into the agonizing embrace of the lightning, his entire body bathed in the blinding white glow.
