One Piece: Capitalist Brook's Crew Expansion Plan
Chapter 443: Defeating Arzuka and Three Dragon Eggs
Under Redfield’s relentless pursuit, Night King Arzuka, battered and bruised, finally made it onto Rokudō Island—just in time to avoid being blasted into the sea by another bolt of lightning!
"Sir, I surrender! Seriously, stop shocking me—another hit and I’m done for. I’ll join the Hell Pirates and be your loyal subordinate!"
Night King Arzuka figured that since the Hell Pirates hadn’t just sunk him outright, they must be planning to recruit him. A sliver of hope flickered in his mind.
Damn that Redfield—trying to put me in my place, huh?
He knew I’d been yelling surrender for ages, but he kept pushing. One day, when I’m stronger, I’ll make him pay. He’ll taste this humiliation firsthand!
A flash of lightning coalesced into a human form right in front of him—it was none other than the infamous Redfield of the Hell Pirates.
"Sir, I’m dead serious about joining the Hell Pirates. Let me be your faithful subordinate!"
Night King Arzuka scrambled over on all fours, banging his head on the ground in desperate pleas. But the hidden resentment in his eyes, coupled with the nonstop curses raging in his mind, left Redfield staring down at him with an impassive face.
He kept kowtowing, but no response came. Inside, Arzuka’s mental tirade grew even more vicious, though his expression remained one of terrified sincerity, his mouth spilling nonstop begs for mercy.
Crackle~
Redfield’s face turned icy as he conjured a spear of lightning. Before Arzuka could react, it pinned his right hand to the ground where he knelt.
"Enjoying the trash talk?"
Redfield loomed over the charred pirate, ramping up the current through the spear, electrocuting the two-faced scum nonstop!
"Redfield, sir, I wasn’t cursing anyone~"
Arzuka’s eyes rolled back from the shocks, his mind reeling in panic. Could this Hell Pirates officer actually read his thoughts?
He should’ve just turned into shadow bats and fled earlier—that might’ve given him a shot. Now, with his palm nailed by the lightning spear, how the hell was he supposed to escape?
"Unrepentant fool!!"
Another lightning spear skewered Arzuka’s left hand, making him howl in agony.
"I’ll fight you to the death!!"
’Shadow Assembly!’
Shadows swarmed toward Night King Arzuka, inflating him into a giant that snapped free of Redfield’s spears.
’Shadow Spear!’
Black lances formed from shadows, sharp and deadly, hurtled toward Redfield at blinding speed.
’Shadow Clone!’
’Shadow Bats!’
Arzuka summoned two identical shadow duplicates to block his foe, then his real body dissolved into a swarm of shadow bats, fleeing toward the dragon tombs!
Those Hell Pirates bastards—playing dirty, killing on sight. Screw being a top-tier crew; I don’t even want in anymore.
Acting all high and mighty, rejecting a powerhouse like me for a commander spot? They’ve got to be brain-dead!
"Running? Not a chance!"
’One Hundred Million Volts’
A massive electrical grid materialized in the sky, ensnaring the swarm of shadow bats and forcing Night King Arzuka back to his true form.
Under Redfield’s advanced Observation Haki, a lowlife like Arzuka had zero chance of slipping away.
"Spare me, sir! I’ll work like an ox, pull my weight—please don’t kill me!" Arzuka’s prized escape trick had failed, sending him into full panic mode. He begged like mad, knowing this might really be the end.
"Two-faced traitor!"
Lightning flashed, and Redfield appeared right in front of Arzuka, his foot wrapped in Armament Haki.
"Brook always says speed equals power. Ever felt a lightning-speed kick?"
Boom~
Night King Arzuka went flying from Redfield’s crushing blow, crashing into a building and kicking up a storm of dust. His fate hung in the balance.
...
The aerial fleet had touched down on Rokudō Island by now.
Brook tasked Gold Lion Shiki with leading a team alongside Daene Targary to quell the general’s rebellion in the Westeros Kingdom. Meanwhile, he headed for the dragon tombs—Rayleigh had called via Den Den Mushi, saying Roger had found him a few dragon eggs.
He needed to check if Rokudō Island’s eggs could still hatch.
Was he about to get his hands on some dragon mounts?
He wasn’t holding out much hope, though. Daene Targary had mentioned that her homeland hadn’t seen dragons in over a century—these eggs were probably lifeless fossils!
But Roger’s crew hadn’t taken any eggs with them this time. So where did that massive one on their ship in the original story come from?
Brook pondered, puzzled. And what had Roger’s Pirates gained from their visit to Rokudō Island?
Why avoid him altogether?
Spotting his aerial fleet, they’d bolted without even a hello.
’Could there really be some world will at play? Did Roger sense something?’
Brook mused darkly. Thinking about the prophecies in the original story irked him—Toki jumping eight hundred years through time, the elephant lord and massive Sea Kings awaiting the fated one, Madam Shyarly’s prediction of the Sea King’s birth, all those Poneglyph clues...
So many signs pointed to destiny, fate, and prophecy ruling this world. Roger and Oden reached Laugh Tale and admitted they’d arrived too early, pinning hopes on twenty years later.
Was this world just a scripted play?
Even Pirate King Roger couldn’t rewrite it.
Brook’s gaze hardened. Screw fate—these losers like Joy Boy could stop playing gods from the shadows!
Even if they reincarnated as Straw Hat Luffy or Kozuki Momonosuke, he’d wipe them out!
No time to wait on their so-called destiny!
Once he’d built up enough, cranked out ten or eight Plutons, he’d declare war on the World Government and Imu straight up!
...
Brook entered the dragon tombs and, following Rayleigh’s clues, located three massive dragon eggs: gold, inky green, and pale blue. Their shells bore rough, scale-like patterns.
No sign of the wine-red speckled giant from Roger’s ship in the original—it wasn’t from this batch.
Brook activated his soul energy’s life detection. The eggs were nearly dead, their vital signs pitifully faint. These five- or six-meter behemoths had life forces barely matching ordinary chicken eggs.
They were as good as goners!
"These are huge—their mothers must’ve been seventy or eighty meters long, at least?"
Stussy stepped forward, running her hand over the giants. They felt icy cold, like stone relics. Her Observation Haki picked up zero signs of life!
