Ayra gasped. "Now what..." These beastmen didn’t seem like they were in the state to fight this monster.

And just then Ayra looked around while trying to recall the system’s instructions again.

"Fears fire..." She muttered as she looked around. She picked up a rock and took another rock and slammed it hard against another. She did it two times and the third time, the rock caught fire and then she illuminated the fire onto the stick.

The sound had already attracted the spider. And so the huge monster made a loud sound while it turned to her direction. It now approached her as Ayra stared in its direction.

"Here goes nothing." She waved the stick at the spider and immediately it let out a loud shriek that echoed through the cave. The spider staggered backwards as Ayra smiled.

"Gotcha," she said as she approached with the fire in her hands, waving it at the spider as it pulled backwards continuously while struggling to stand firm. It was clear that the monster was horrified by the fire and it moved backwards in a flash, falling and crashing against rocks violently while it moved away.

Ayra smiled as she stepped forward with the flames. "Who’s the scary one now? Huh?"

The beastmen behind her stared in pure shock. They couldn’t believe their eyes. A female had saved them and now was fighting off their great monster?!

When they looked to their side, these beastmen saw Lord Vale who came to stand beside them.

"Lord..." One wanted to call out but he urged the person to be quiet. And while the person kept quiet, Vale stared at Ayra.

He had been watching her for a while. Observing as she strategically distracted the monster whom he had now learned couldn’t see but only followed sounds. And how she also saved the beastmen while also using fire against this beast. He was simply impressed.

This wasn’t what he knew to be an F-rank female.

The monster shrieked while it rushed back into its hole. Ayra smiled as she sighed. "Finally.."

Ayra scoffed. "What a scam," she rolled her eyes as she turned to meet the gaze of the men, the fire still in her arms to properly illuminate the space.

Lord Vale stood there with both arms folded as he stared at her. There was no detest or malicious suspicion in those eyes. Ayra could read the amusement and admiration now growing in them.

But she didn’t care. "You heartless monsters. Talk about loyalty and here you are wanting to kill me?" She questioned, approaching him. "I should have known that beasts like you are hypocrites who shouldn’t even be taken seriously."

She snapped as the beastmen stared at her and stared at their lord. They were surprised at how she was speaking to him anyhow. No one dared. But the most surprising thing was that Vale wasn’t reacting. He was still staring at her like who had discovered treasure.

"Hey! You asshole! Are you even listening to me? Next time you try to kill me I’ll certainly.."

[Ding!]

Ayra blinked, surprised and confused. Huh? How the hell did it increase. "Does he like it when he’s being scolded or something? That’s a strange thing to like..."

Before Ayra could even finish her train of thoughts, she heard a sudden loud shriek from behind. But it was already too late to turn back.

The huge spider had come back for revenge. And this time it had stretched out one of its sharp legs to smash Ayra down from behind.

But before it could even succeed, Vale grabbed Ayra by the hand and pulled her in a circle. Now he was the one standing with his back against the monster as the beast mashed its sharp hands against his back.

Blood spilled hard from his mouth as the pain crashed into Vale’s body. Ayra could imagine how terrible that hurt from his expression.

Lord Vale coughed out more blood as he crumbled down on his knees from the pain. But it was clear that this monster wasn’t stopping here. Ayra had to think and act fast.

Immediately, Ayra threw the fire stick in her hands at the monster and watched it land on its body.

A loud shriek followed as the monster staggered backwards trying to get the fire off it. But to no avail, because the fire had quickly spread around its body as though those slimy substances around it were inflammable.

And so they watched the monster go off in flames and soon burn down in ashes.

Ayra gasped as she slowly went down on her knees beside Vale, staring at the ashes. She guessed setting it on fire was the solution.

"Lord Vale!" Immediately, the other beastmen gathered around Vale who was on his knees. They slowly helped him sit down, resting him against the wall.

He was bleeding from behind and his lips were covered with the blood he had spilled.

Ayra was with them, staring at Vale, worried. He seemed seriously hurt, and Ayra felt a bit bad knowing that he was hurt while trying to save her.

But why? Didn’t he want her dead before?

"Are you okay?"

"Let’s take him back now."

"Yes! His body is getting hotter. His corruption level is increasing rapidly. I think he’s going to go berserk soon."

"Let’s take him back, hopefully we make it on time."

Ayra scoffed. Ultra Sexual Pleasing? Now that sounded intense. But she guessed for the sake of repaying him for saving her, improving stats and gaining rewards, she would gladly accept it.

"I’ll soothe him," she announced as the other beastmen stared at her in shock.

Vale scoffed. "Just because you were lucky the last time you think you can do it again?"

Ayra smiled. "It wasn’t luck, honey, it was skills."

"Skills? Was that supposed to be a joke?"

Ayra scoffed. "Well you have no choice anyways unless you want to run mad here. So just shut up and let me send you to heaven."

She said as she turned and stared at the other beastmen who were staring in pure confusion. They couldn’t believe she was an F-rank female, so they didn’t know how it was even possible.

"Are you going to leave us alone or do you want to watch some free rated twenty scene here?" She raised an eyebrow.

They blinked and stared at each other as she said, "Leave us alone."

They were hesitant. They couldn’t leave their leader with a strange female, could they?

But Vale managed to say in-between struggling through his breath, "Leave us.. now."

And without questions, they turned and went outside, leaving the two of them alone in the cave.
