Chapter 419: Chapter 419: Give Me Your Wife

"Give me your wife."

The words hung in the air, and a biting frost seemed to settle over the private room, chilling them to the bone.

Walker Grant’s face fell. He stared at the other man, his jet-black eyes devoid of emotion. "William Quinn, you’d better know what you’re saying."

But William Quinn just grinned. "Of course I do. Give her to me. Once she’s my woman, those lowlifes won’t dare to touch her. Who would dare provoke The Osprey?"

Walker Grant’s expression grew even colder. "It sounds like you’ve decided you don’t want your organization anymore."

William Quinn looked at him, surprised. "Are you declaring war on me? Does this mean she belongs to whoever wins?"

He grew even more excited, even standing up, looking like he was itching for a fight.

Pathological. Insane.

Chloe Reed stared at him, finding him utterly incomprehensible. In a cold voice, she said, "I am not a trophy. I don’t belong to either one of you."

"Wow!"

William Quinn exclaimed. "So much personality! I like it even more!"

’If only she had been this resolute back then, too.’

’Then maybe she wouldn’t have ended up as a mangled pile of flesh and blood, would she?’

A bitter sting filled William Quinn’s eyes, but the madness within them only intensified. "Mrs. Grant, dump him and be with me. I swear I can protect you. Overseas, no one dares to cross me."

"That’s assuming you live long enough to leave this country," Walker Grant said, his tone exceptionally cold. He pulled out a gun and aimed it directly at William Quinn’s head.

William Quinn tilted his head slightly. He didn’t look at Walker Grant, but at Chloe Reed. "Mrs. Grant, choose me. Since you don’t want to be a trophy, I’ll let you be the one who chooses. How about it?"

"You’re insane!"

Chloe Reed didn’t dare to go anywhere near him.

’First, he took money to assassinate me, and now that he’s seen me, he wants to be with me?’

’Is his brain at war with itself?’

William Quinn blinked, and a look of hurt and dejection filled his blue eyes. "You’re not going to choose me? I really can protect you!"

"But you took money to kill me. How am I supposed to trust you?" Chloe Reed stared at him coldly.

William Quinn slapped himself hard across the face. He then looked at her as large tears rolled down his cheeks. "I was wrong. I’m sorry. Please don’t be mad, okay? Choose me!"

Tears streamed from his blue eyes, and with his delicate, handsome features, the sight was enough to stir a strange sense of pity in one’s heart.

Chloe Reed was completely stunned.

’Why is he crying?’

"Don’t look at him."

Walker Grant said coldly, "When he cut off his siblings’ hands and feet, he was crying the entire time he did it."

Chloe Reed was speechless.

She immediately hid behind Walker Grant, her expression completely blank.

’What kind of lunatic is this guy?’

William Quinn blinked, teardrops clinging to his eyelashes. He wiped his face, his gaze turning sinister as he glared at Walker Grant. "You’re a real nuisance! Why would you say those things to scare her?!"

Walker Grant replied, "I was just letting her see your true colors."

William Quinn let out a laugh and sat back down on the sofa. "Alright, out of respect for you, I’ll give you a discount. But in exchange, I want the chance to pursue her. Even though she’s your wife, you two can get a divorce. You can’t stop a superior man from going after her."

But Walker Grant holstered his gun, took Chloe Reed’s hand, and stood up to leave.

"Hey, why are you leaving?"

William Quinn froze, looking at him in confusion.

Walker Grant ignored him, glancing down at Chloe Reed. "Are you hungry?" he asked.
