Walker Grant picked up the little boy and said, "You saw wrong. That’s not your mommy. She just looks a lot like her."

Walker’s brow furrowed. He held Noah close, soothing him. After a long time coaxing him, Noah finally quieted down, but his eyes remained fixed on the world outside.

Sunny Reed failed to flag down a car. When she saw the bodyguards charging toward her, she turned and ran.

She ran to another street, got into a van, and quickly disappeared from sight.

The bodyguard reported the incident to Walker. The man scoffed, "She really can’t stay out of trouble. Find her and send her abroad directly."

Chloe Reed lowered her head, and tears fell instantly.

Just then, her phone rang. She took it out and saw it was a call from Charles Reed.

She wiped away her tears, then got up and went outside to answer the call.

"Chloe, it’s Dad."

Charles Reed’s gentle voice came through the phone. "Which hospital are you and your grandmother staying at? Your mother and I want to come visit her."

Chloe Reed’s tone was ice-cold. "How dare you?"

Charles Reed was taken aback but still said, "I know we were in the wrong. But we were instigated by Sunny Reed. If she hadn’t messed with our family, things wouldn’t have ended up like this. We were completely deceived. Chloe, at the end of the day, we’re still family."
