Chapter 558: 558: Attacking The Enemy Camp 2

Before the moment could settle, another presence descended from above, and a massive figure from the Orc side shot downward while his aura pressed heavily across the battlefield.

A Mythic Knight had arrived.

Amber’s eyes narrowed slightly as she sensed it, and although the sudden appearance was unexpected, she did not show fear and instead stayed focused.

Rathlos did not step back, and instead darkness surged around him while his body shifted and shadows gathered into form, and his sword changed as a dark blade extended outward as if forged from the void.

The air grew heavier, and the battlefield trembled as pressure built rapidly.

The Cheetah Beastman attacked again, and this time the Orc Mythic Knight moved alongside him, and their combined presence distorted the surroundings while their attacks came together.

BOOOOM!

The clash erupted, and Rathlos stepped forward instead of retreating while his sword cut through the air and released a wave of darkness that split the ground apart.

The Beastman dodged to the side, but the Orc Mythic Knight blocked the attack directly, and the impact created a shockwave that spread across the camp while tearing through nearby structures. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮

Amber watched closely and held her position, because she understood that Rathlos could handle the pressure for now.

The Beastman moved again with extreme speed while his strikes came from different angles, and he tried to overwhelm Rathlos, but Rathlos turned slightly and deflected each attack with controlled precision.

Then he countered.

A dark arc cut across space, and although the Beastman barely avoided it, the force behind the strike tore apart everything behind him while leaving a deep mark across the ground.

The Orc Mythic Knight stepped in again, and his weapon came down with crushing force, but Rathlos raised his blade and blocked it, and the collision created another massive shockwave while the ground split and the air roared.

The clash felt like two forces colliding at a level far beyond normal battle, and the surrounding area began to break apart under the pressure.

Rathlos moved again, and this time his shadow spread outwarrd like a storm while multiple blades formed within it and struck in succession, and both enemies were forced back slightly as the pressure increased.

Then from the rear, one of the Orcs shouted loudly.

"Shaman... help!"

An old figure stepped forward slowly, and although his body looked thin, the aura around him was deep and dangerous while he raised his staff and began to gather energy.

Amber’s eyes sharpened instantly as she sensed the change, and she stepped forward without hesitation.

"There is no way I am letting you do that," she said, and her voice carried firm intent.

Her figure flashed forward, and she moved to intercept while cutting off the Shaman’s casting before it could complete, and the clash expanded once again.

Amber stepped forward to intercept, and the moment she closed the distance, the Orc Shaman’s staff glowed with a dark and sickly light while the air around him began to twist unnaturally.

The ground beneath Amber’s feet suddenly darkened, and shadowy hands burst out from the soil while reaching toward her legs, and their touch carried a cold, draining force that tried to bind her in place.

Amber reacted instantly and pulled back while slashing downward, and her blade cut through the writhing shadows before they could wrap around her.

Before she could regain her footing, the Shaman raised his staff again, and a spiral of black mist formed above him while condensing into sharp, needle-like projectiles.

SWISH! SWISH! SWISH!

They shot toward her rapidly, and each one carried a corrosive aura that burned the air itself.

Amber twisted her body and moved sideways while dodging them one after another, and the projectiles struck the ground behind her while melting the snow and leaving deep, smoking holes.

"Damn," she muttered under her breath.

The Shaman did not stop, and he slammed his staff lightly while chanting something under his breath, and a ring of dark flames erupted around Amber while closing in from all sides.

The flames did not burn like normal fire, and instead they flickered with a sick glow while distorting the space around them.

Amber leaped upward and spun in midair, and her sword cut through the encroaching flames while dispersing them before they could trap her completely.

But the pressure did not ease.

Another spell followed immediately, and a heavy wave of mental force struck toward her, and it carried whispers and distorted voices that tried to shake her focus.

Amber’s eyes narrowed, and she steadied herself while pushing through the interference, but she could feel it.

This was not a simple opponent.

This was a seasoned veteran.

"...I can only stall him," she thought, and her grip tightened slightly.

"As for finishing him... that won’t be easy."

The Shaman smiled faintly as he saw her movements, and his staff rose again while more energy gathered.

But at that moment something changed.

From the dense blackish smoke surrounding the Orc Shaman, a faint wisp flickered silently, and it moved without being noticed while circling behind him.

The Shaman remained focused on Amber and did not sense it.

SWOOSH!

A blade cut through the air.

The Orc Shaman’s eyes widened instantly, and shock flashed across his face.

He tried to move, but as a mage, his reaction was just a fraction too slow.

SWISHHH!

A clean cut passed across his neck, and blood erupted outward while staining the air red, and his body staggered as he stepped back in shock.

His spell broke instantly.

The pressure around Amber vanished.

The figure behind him materialized, and as Amber saw him clearly, she have a quick thumbs up.

"Great work, Hall!" she said.

The Orc Shaman clutched his neck while blood continued to pour, and his face twisted with rage and disbelief.

"Bastard!" he roared hoarsely.

"You dare sneak attack amidst the war?!"

"Where are the rules?!"

"Where is the ethics?!"

Amber snorted as she heard that, and she stepped forward without hesitation.

"Talking about ethics now?" she said coldly.

The Orc Shaman screamed while trying to buy time, and his hand moved quickly as he tried to activate something to recover himself, but Amber did not give him that chance.

She moved.

Her figure blurred forward, and her sword rose before descending in a single, decisive motion.

The strike cut through the air like a tearing force, and the space in front of her seemed to split apart while everything in its path was dismantled.

SWOOOOOSH!

The ground cracked open, and the dark energy around the Shaman was shattered instantly, and his body was caught in the attack before being cut apart completely.

The force continued forward and tore through everything behind him, and several Orc soldiers were wiped out as the wave passed through them without slowing.

Silence followed for a brief moment.

Then Rathlos, who had been fighting on the other side, glanced toward the scene and smiled faintly.

A nefarious darkness erupted from his body, and his aura grew heavier while a dense killing intent spread outward.

"Your backup is gone," he said coldly.

"Now it is time to send you to them."

His figure moved.

SWISH!
