Ning Zihan didn’t attend to satisfy An Baobei’s expectations. He had already promised Su Changyi, and since Su Changyi sent him a wedding invitation, it wouldn’t be appropriate to decline such a significant figure. If it were someone else of lesser importance, he might have just brushed it off with some excuse. For Su Changyi’s sake, it’s better to show up.

Upon hearing Ning Zihan say he’d attend, An Baobei immediately said with joy, "Then when you come to S City, let me show you around the city."

Ning Zihan neither agreed nor refused, simply stating, "There are five minutes left until your meeting with Lu Tezhu."

"It’s settled then!" An Baobei said as she turned and ran toward the airport. After a few steps, however, she turned back, clenched her fist confidently, and said, "Don’t worry, I’ll do my best!"

She would try her best not to like him; this was what he wanted. Yet, Ning Zihan found no joy in this. He slightly opened his mouth, wanting to say something, but in the end, said nothing, allowing An Baobei to turn and run away again.

Only An Baobei knew that as she turned and ran back to the airport, her heart twinged with pain.

It wasn’t just a little fondness she had for him; she actually liked him more than ever.

When An Baobei returned home, it was after three in the afternoon. An Jing, Su Changyi, and Su Chengyu were sitting in the living room, having afternoon tea. As for Su Haoyu, he had been invited by his old friends to play golf.

Su Chengyu sat cross-legged in a single sofa, sipping afternoon tea and chatting happily with An Jing.

Even knowing that Su Chengyu was joking, An Baobei earnestly replied, "Uncle, just because all your friends have girlfriends doesn’t mean you need one. I think you shouldn’t be looking for a girlfriend but someone you love."

Su Chengyu was taken aback by her words, as they hit the nail on the head.

Seeing this, An Baobei continued, "Uncle, ask yourself honestly, did you truly like any of those past girlfriends of yours?"

Su Chengyu was taken aback for a couple of seconds, then slapped his thigh and laughed heartily, "Who would have thought, Baobei, that you had the ability to wake me up with a single sentence? Indeed, none of those girlfriends were truly dear to me. I felt I should have a girlfriend at my age, so I found one. It seems I should reconsider, not rushing to find a girlfriend but trying to find someone I love. The question is, what kind of woman do I like?"

Talking to himself, Su Chengyu stroked his chin and began contemplating seriously.

An Baobei paid him no further attention, greeted An Jing and Su Changyi with a low spirit, and went upstairs.
