Peach Blossom Divine Medical God
Chapter 1934 - 1928: Utterly Vicious
"Hmph, you think it’s ’we’re connected’ when you say so and ’we’re not’ when you say so? You think way too highly of yourself, don’t you? I’m afraid this isn’t up to you anymore." Liu Qingqing stood with her hands on her hips, face full of malice.
Her image was worlds apart from the daytime, like a completely different person.
What she said was dripping with menace.
Wang Jingman looked at the circle of thugs surrounding her and finally realized something was wrong.
At first she’d thought Liu Qingqing had come to explain things, but clearly she’d overthought it.
Still, she wasn’t afraid. She was already a cultivator, strong enough to deal with these people, and besides, Chen Yang was here.
Chen Yang hadn’t left yet.
"What do you mean? What are you people trying to do?" Wang Jingman asked warily.
"Hmph, what we’re trying to do? Ask President Qi and you’ll know." Liu Qingqing snorted coldly.
President Qi wore a wicked grin, completely different from the righteous image he’d had before.
"President Wang, business cooperation isn’t child’s play. It’s not ’you cooperate when you want to’ and ’you don’t when you don’t want to’! I worked my ass off today introducing people to you, even made you tea, and you just say you’re not investing? I’m afraid it’s not that easy." President Qi smirked.
Wang Jingman frowned. "What’s that supposed to mean? I don’t want to invest anymore and you’re going to force me to?"
President Qi’s smirk didn’t fade. "It’s not that I’ll force you to invest. Of course you have the right not to. But I can’t just have worked for nothing today, can I?"
"Give me fifteen million, call it your penalty for breaching the deal, and also the hard work fee for me and Qingqing today. Otherwise, this doesn’t end here."
President Qi threw down the line loudly.
The thugs around them all stepped forward together, aggressive and menacing.
At that moment, Wang Jingman finally understood everything.
This President Qi and Liu Qingqing, seeing their scam wasn’t going to work, had brought people to rob her by force instead.
How amusing.
"Liu Qingqing, I really must’ve been blind. I never thought you’d completely ignore the bond we had in college—not only trying to scam me, but even bringing people to threaten me?" Wang Jingman looked at Liu Qingqing with complicated eyes; she was genuinely hurt.
But Liu Qingqing’s face said she couldn’t care less. The feelings Wang Jingman treasured weren’t worth a penny to her.
"Don’t give me that useless crap. You’re way too naive. You’re really bringing up childhood feelings at a time like this? Grow up, will you?" Liu Qingqing sneered.
"Heh, you really are naive, President Wang. Business is kill or be killed; being too innocent is a bad thing. Take this fifteen million as tuition for your lesson today. Maybe you’ll wise up in the future." President Qi added mockingly from the side. In their eyes, the friendship Wang Jingman spoke of was just a joke.
"Fine, I get it. Since that’s how it is, there’s no ’bond’ left to talk about." Wang Jingman finally saw Liu Qingqing’s true colors clearly. "Let me be clear too: I’m not giving you a cent. If you want to do this with your fists, I’ll keep you company."
Wang Jingman suddenly turned domineering; her aura shot straight up.
Her powerful presence even stunned Liu Qingqing and President Qi for a moment.
"Well, well, President Wang. I couldn’t tell—looking all soft and weak on the outside, but you’ve got quite the backbone." President Qi walked forward a couple of steps with a playful face, stopping in front of Wang Jingman. "You really think that skinny little body of yours can take on this many of us?"
"Not here, anyway. But if we took it to a bed, maybe you’d really be something."
"Hahahahaha..."
Those words laid bare President Qi’s sleaziness, and the lackeys around him burst out in dirty laughter.
Wang Jingman was furious.
Without another word, she reached out and clamped a hand around President Qi’s throat.
Hack, hack, hack...
She moved so fast that President Qi didn’t have time to react. By the time he realized what was happening, he was already struggling to breathe, his neck locked in place.
"Y–you... what are you doing?!"
He hadn’t taken Wang Jingman seriously at all, thinking a weak woman could never be their match. He never dreamed that the very next second, his life would be in danger.
"She really dared to hit him? Brothers, get her! Beat her up!" The other lackeys finally reacted.
Seeing President Qi in trouble, they immediately rushed forward to help!
"I’d like to see who dares move!" Wang Jingman roared, tightening her grip.
President Qi suddenly felt her fingers close in on his neck. That terrifying strength seemed like it would crush his throat. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
"D–don’t... don’t come closer! B–back off!" Oxygen-deprived, his face flushed red as he felt death looming over him, and he hurriedly stopped his men.
The lackeys, afraid of hurting the boss, immediately didn’t dare approach.
Because right now President Qi looked terrifying; his face was red like it was about to burst.
"What are you doing? Let go of President Qi right now. We can talk this out, but if you keep this up, things will get very messy." One of the bodyguards pointed at Wang Jingman and shouted.
"Wang Jingman, are you crazy? Are you seriously going to kill someone?" Even Liu Qingqing was scared stiff.
She clearly hadn’t expected mild, gentle Wang Jingman to have this side to her.
"Kill someone? Of course not. But an ’accidental disability’ is very possible." Wang Jingman said coldly.
"D–don’t... President Wang, we can talk, we can talk this out. Please don’t get emotional. This is all a misunderstanding. It was all that bitch Liu Qingqing’s idea; it has nothing to do with me."
President Qi turned into a complete coward. The moment he sensed real danger, he immediately started shifting blame and begging for mercy.
Liu Qingqing’s face turned green when she heard that.
But she didn’t say anything back, only tried to persuade Wang Jingman to let him go.
Wang Jingman hadn’t actually planned to kill him—she just wanted to scare them.
"I know it was Liu Qingqing’s idea, but could it have gone this far if you hadn’t agreed? Take this as a small lesson. Now get lost, before you really regret it." With that, Wang Jingman kicked President Qi hard in the stomach.
"Ow!"
He let out a howl and crashed to the ground.
He didn’t even have time to catch his breath before scrambling to his feet and putting as much distance between himself and Wang Jingman as possible.
Once he was at a safe distance, he turned back and glared at her in fury.
"That fucking hurt. Never thought this bitch would be that strong!" President Qi got his bravado back and started mouthing off again.
"President Qi, are you okay?" Liu Qingqing hurried over, fawning over him.
"Fuck you, can’t you see I almost died? ’Okay’ my ass." President Qi vented his anger on her.
Liu Qingqing’s face went dark green, but she didn’t dare talk back.
"You bitch, you’ve got some skill." President Qi’s vicious gaze locked onto Wang Jingman again, clearly itching for revenge.
"What? You’re still not leaving?" Wang Jingman stared back at him, calm and cold.
"Leave? Heh. You really think I’ll be scared of you just because you’ve got a bit of strength? Look at how many guys I’ve got here." President Qi sneered, hate burning in his eyes.
As soon as he finished, his lackeys stepped forward—more than a dozen of them, radiating menace.
Compared to them, Wang Jingman, a lone "weak woman," looked utterly outmatched.
But her expression stayed completely calm.
Chen Yang, sitting in the car, was the same—utterly unruffled, not worried about her at all.
"Heh, really don’t cry till you see the coffin, do you?" Seeing that President Qi clearly intended to keep pushing, Wang Jingman let out a cold laugh.
"Hmph, bitch, who’s the one who won’t cry till they see the coffin? All of you, get her! Take her down!" President Qi roared.
The lackeys immediately swarmed forward like a pack of hungry wolves, lunging at Wang Jingman.
More than a dozen of them, full of murderous bravado—judging by appearances, taking down one "weak woman" like her should’ve been laughably easy.
