Picking Up Beautiful Girls In The Post-Apocalyptic World!
Chapter 406: You Are The Creator
Remember how you used to edit before. Haha!
Han blinked in surprise.
"You don’t care?"
Han was shocked by the nonchalance that the creator was showing. What did he mean by he didn’t care?
"Do you know how long I’ve lived, Han?"
"Since the beginning of time? Billions of years?"
"Hundreds of billions of years. I’ve lived so long I can remember a time when the universe was nothing but a single dot in space. A singularity that didn’t have any idea of its own existence. I am so old that your life to me is but a drop in an ocean. But with that age comes regret, Han. I am tired."
Han calmed down, but he didn’t allow his senses to relax as he still prepared to fight if he noticed any funny movement.
"What do you mean you’re tired? Is that why you killed your brother?"
Han could still remember the celestial that gave him his powers. That celestial was the creator’s brother, and he was killed by the creator a long time ago when the creator started building the temple.
Once Han mentioned that man, the creator frowned and looked up with a melancholic expression.
"There are many things I regret. Not that one. I haven’t regretted killing anything in millennia, and I don’t think I ever will. But you see, that’s the problem. I know I ought to regret it. My feelings are muted to the feelings you humans claim to be so important. In simple terms, I am an old man."
"So then what is this? What did you intend to gain by doing all this? Why make the tower and the planes?"
"For you."
"Me?"
"Yes, you. I have been searching for someone to be my replacement. I have looked through a hundred thousand lifetimes of a million different species, and you are the only one who possesses the mindset necessary to live through this burden. I have nurtured you for millennia and I brought you to life through your parents. I killed your parents to give you motivation and allowed you to gain power to bring you to me. In the truest sense of the word, I am your father."
Han’s eyes narrowed, and he gritted his teeth when he heard the creator say he killed his parents just for the sake of giving him motivation. Is that why he and Ping’s parents both died? Han was always wondering why their parents died in such quick successions and even thought it was just rotten luck. But it was just this bastard?
"I’m going to kill you."
"You will be doing me a favor if you do. I do not ask for your forgiveness. I don’t need it. I am here to give you a choice."
Han was still skeptical about all this, but he decided that he would hear out the creator first before anything else. Han nodded, and the creator continued.
"You could go back to the world now and begin the fight between the mortals and celestials. It will last for a century at best and a hundred centuries at worst. It will encompass all the planes and even your former world Earth will not be spared from the fighting. People will die. People you love and people you hate. Including your precious wives.
"Or you could accept my proposal and become my heir. You will gain power incomparable, and there will be no one that can stand against you. You will be invincible in every definition of the word. With that power, you can reduce the casualties and guide the war in such a way that the people on your side do not lose. But there is a condition. You will no longer be able to live with the mortals. Your body. Your true body will always remain here, and a figment of yourself will exist in the mortal world. You will be a God. An overseer of the flow of time and there is nothing that can stop you. But you will be alone. Do you agree to it?"
Han was shocked by the offer, and he looked away from the creator as he realized how big a decision this was. He could have all the power to save everyone he ever loved, but in exchange, he would lose them. Was it worth it?
Of course, it was.
This was Han’s immediate thought. He knew that they would live, and they would be able to continue with him for a long time. That was good, and Han was more than ready to accept anything just to give them a fighting chance.
"Very well then. I’ll take the responsibility. But you should also know that I am not you. If you think I’ll just follow your rules, then you can go to hell. I’ll have my cake and I’ll fucking eat it too."
The creator couldn’t help but smile at Han once Han said this. He would have been disappointed if Han did anything less.
There was a great pressure around the room, and Han saw all the guardians of the tower suddenly appearing. Balance, the sleeping beauty that controlled equality, and the tall man that controlled time, the watcher, were both smiling at Han. Fall was also there, and even Rexx was standing in front of Han. The creator turned to them and spoke.
"It’s been a long time since I saw all of you in the same room. I’m glad you are all doing fine."
"This is it, isn’t it? I always thought it’ll take a bit longer before he agreed."
The Watcher asked this, and the creator smiled. Balance yawned as she lay down on the ground and looked at the creator kindly.
"I’ll miss you, Creator. But don’t worry, I’ll take care of this newbie for you~ Yawn~"
"Do not think of it as the end. I will be gone, but you all will have someone new to serve. I am grateful to all of you for keeping me company for so long. Thank you for making this old man happy in his last centuries."
Han watched as Fall came forward and placed his hands on the creator’s shoulder once the creator said this, and the creator slowly started to change to motes of light. Han was stunned as he congregated around him and suddenly flew into him!
Boom!!
All over the tower, there was a great change that suddenly took place! Every mortal and immortal could feel that something big just happened as a wave of power greater than anything that they have ever felt before flew across the area! The celestials were all stunned as they looked up into the sky! They could still feel the creator’s power, but they knew that there was something different! His power was different!
Han floated in the sky, and he felt his senses spread across the new universe, and if not for his enhanced senses and intellect, he knew he would have been overwhelmed by the intense overload of information! Han could see everything! From the smallest bee flying off a flower to the largest beast crossing over a galaxy!
He could see his wives, and he could see the celestials! He could see the people back on Earth and every other planet out there! There wasn’t a single person who could hide from his vision! Past, present, future. They were all in the palm of his hands!
Han opened his eyes slowly, and he squeezed his hands as he felt the immeasurable energy inside him. He tried to bring out his system, but there was no longer anything there. He only had one tab open, and it showed this.
...
Name: Han Luo
Class: God
Race: True Immortal
Current Rank: God
...
Han knew that even though his tab was like this, there was nothing he could not do. Han only had to think about what he wanted and it would happen. Han was everywhere and everything all at once. Han realized at that moment that he really was a God. He looked down and saw that all the guardians were kneeling in front of him, and he calmly floated back to the ground and sat down while trying to assimilate everything that was coming to his head. Han now understood more than ever before. This was all folly. Everything was meaningless and pointless. He should have been more determined to kill the celestial now, but he was no longer interested in ending them. They were just fools that couldn’t see the bigger picture.
But that did not change the fact that the people he loved would always be oppressed if he did not do something. And so Han decided that he would change the universe. Han put his hand up, and a wide globe appeared over it. In the globe, he could see all the celestials and all the mortals that existed in this plane, and Han changed the world with only a thought. Han could have simply ended his war, but he realized that it would be pointless to do that. He would not solve anything by oppressing the celestials himself. Mortals require a reason to move forward and Han would give it to them. There was no more immortality for the celestials.
Han temporarily locked the celestials’ immortality. This way, the fight between the two would be more fair. Han then took control of the gate blocking the celestial plane from the mortals, and he pulled a single string
Phwoom!!
The gate opened up, and Han watched as Esteroth stood up from the mighty throne he was sitting in. And with a loud shout, he led the orphans to war.
"Are you not going to join them, creator?" The Watcher asked this as he watched Han closely and tried to see what Han would do. But Han was only staring at the ball in his hand with a faraway gaze as he spoke.
"No, not yet."
"This fight could last for a century at this rate."
"I know," Han finally said after a few seconds of just looking at the ball, "I know." 𝘧𝑟𝑒𝑒𝘸𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝓁.𝘤𝘰𝓂
Han had already seen it all, and he knew exactly how the fight would end. He just had to watch it play out.
