Pirate Kingship
Chapter 1010 - 551: Soup of Life, the Queen’s Return
Woo woo woo...
Northeast of the continent, the prevailing northeast wind over the North Sea and the nearby waters remains as clamorous as ever all year round.
A dense milky white mist shrouds a hundred kilometers of ocean in the depths of the Sea of Monsters, south of the Third Ring Current Zone, showing no signs of dissipating despite the wind and rain.
When the lighting conditions are good, one can vaguely see the outline of a towering giant ship deep within the fog, like a mountain.
Whether it’s a First Level ship, claimed to be humanity’s largest vessel, or a Legendary Warship beyond ordinary measurement, they all seem as insignificant as a dwarf in front of it.
Yet this ship and the fog surrounding it seem like a phantom not belonging to the material world, suddenly appearing and disappearing at sea, elusive and mysterious.
Sometimes, it approaches so close to the relatively safe "Third Ring Current Zone" that adventurous fishermen nearby mistake it for a Mirage City.
Other times, it delves into the pitch-black Sea of Monsters, where even the flying tamed beasts released by the Beast Tamer can only faintly see a mass of white mist.
More often than not, it seems to disappear into thin air, with no trace found anywhere, piquing the curiosity of Old Continent residents.
Fortunately, although difficult to track, its overall trajectory still follows a pattern.
This giant ship shrouded in mist sails slowly from south to north, appearing closer each time to the North Sea Region at the end of the Third Ring Current Zone.
As it passes by, the number of fishing boats, merchant ships, warships, and adventure vessels increases, and naturally, sightings increase as well.
Occasionally, daring sailors try to get a closer look, and just by approaching the fog, they can hear a cacophony of beastly roars from within the ship.
Not only are there sea monsters, but also all kinds of land animals and insects.
They are immediately reminded of the various taboos to be observed while sailing, thinking that some terrifying monster or bizarre entity dwells on that ship.
Terrified, they return to shore, embellishing the story to journalists and intelligence merchants drawn by the news, further adding to the sea’s mysterious legends.
Until the Church issues a ban, no one dares to discuss the sea ship any longer, nor does anyone dare to pursue its trail.
However, there are always exceptions; some people are not afraid of the Church’s "Excommunication."
What ordinary civilians dare not do is just routine for some people.
"Reef the mainsail, slow down."
A Miracle Battleship from the Kingdom of Castilia, ahead of the [Noah’s Ark] reaching the marked location in the intelligence, has fearlessly ignored the Church’s ban, adventuring deep into the Sea of Monsters, recklessly charging into that hundreds of kilometers wide fog.
This battleship has a horse skull mounted on its bow, an ancient shield hangs on the left bulwark, a rusty iron spear on the foremast, and knight armor lashed to the main mast.
This peculiar decoration is highly recognizable, no doubt the [Numa Nande] that once engaged Byron in the "Treasure Fleet"!
And its captain is none other than Queen Isabella’s legitimate confidant, the contemporary [Don Quixote] Jeanne Don Quixote, "ever-lucky E in lancers, also EE in bust size."
After being redeemed by the [Unblemished] Queen Isabella, she experienced a series of maritime battles, large and small, against the Puppet King and the Star Moon Empire, always bravely at the forefront.
This time, when the Castilia Twin Kings received intelligence of the [Noah’s Ark], and convened with The King’s Right Hand and a group of close aides for a meeting, she volunteered to verify the authenticity of the intelligence for Queen Isabella.
Galloping swiftly, she found the target even before the personnel dispatched by the Puppet King.
The explosive-bodied beautiful female knight stands at the prow, gripping the Holy Relic Knight’s Lance, facing the wall of milky white fog as it slowly engulfs the entire warship.
Just as they enter the fog’s range, the lookout on the main mast whispers in alarm:
"Quick, look at the sea."
The crew, seasoned and well-experienced, drafted from various adventure ships, who have explored all kinds of perilous regions, all turn their eyes to the outside of the ship.
They find that the sea water, originally black due to its depth, has turned an eerie orange-red, unlike the color of normal blood, yet emitting a faintly bloody scent.
Experienced crew members can even detect a hint of amniotic fluid smell, mixed together, it is somewhat indescribable.
"Ignore it, remain vigilant, don’t gaze at the sea water for too long, let’s continue forward."
Although this sea water is peculiar, their mission is originally to gather intelligence at the risk of their lives, to trailblaze for the High Sequence Extraordinary Beings coming to seize the ship. Therefore, it’s impossible to withdraw just because of this situation.
Jeanne Don Quixote waves a hand, and the adventure ship merely slows slightly before proceeding.
Just a hundred meters in, the [Navigator] on board reports more bad news to her:
"Captain, we’ve lost the lawful signal, real-time remote communication is cut off, we’ve lost contact with Her Majesty the Queen.
Compared to the material world, this place is more of a relatively closed forbidden zone and secret realm, with an extremely high level of mystery, beyond what our order can penetrate.
I can now only capture the light from the [Lighthouse Matrix], which allows us to position the ship.
This is only because the [Saint Byron Lens] has enhanced the signals of the Pharos Lighthouse and coastal lighthouses by three hundred percent, otherwise, we’d be lost by now."
