Pirate Kingship
Chapter 971 - 541: History Begins When Humans Create Gods! (2)
It’s obvious that this is not an ordinary history book.
It meticulously records every key historical point on the Old Continent, altered according to the will of its owner to guide history in a predetermined direction.
Turning a few more pages, there’s the "Southern Continent Remit Massacre," "Red and White Rose War Final Battle," "Kalmar Union Beast Tide,"...
In different historical Chapters, some have more graffiti, others less.
From these constantly revised variables, it’s evident that the owner of the history book cannot perfectly control the entirety, only influencing the course of history to a certain extent by intervening with key figures.
Some Chapters end with the phrase "History should have been like this," proving the story reached a conclusion as scripted;
Some do not, indicating that the influence of this history book is not omnipotent.
The pages of history stopped on the penultimate page, a new historical Chapter, also a section of the future, has already been written in advance:
"The Inland Sea has become a battleground for the Kingdom of Castilia and the Star Moon Empire’s struggle for hegemony.
One side is the twin royal fleet of Isabella and Fernando, the other is the joint fleet of the Puppet King and the Star Moon Empire.
In the future, they will gradually weaken each other through attrition, no longer able to interfere with what’s happening on the continent..."
A multitude of graffiti and signs of repeated revisions appear thereafter.
"The Legendary Pirate [Bloodsail] Mihawk, stationed in the Inland Sea, inspired by the deeds of the [King of the Wild Hunt] Byron Lancaster, is seeking the title of Pirate King of the Inland Sea.
To achieve the [King’s Title], the most convenient way is to gain the strong support of one of the powers.
He hesitates, unsure whether to bet on the Castilian Twin Kings or the Puppet King and Star Moon Empire.
But as a person of Castilian descent, he clearly leans towards supporting the former, and will soon take action. As a crucial minority, his decision will break the balance of the Inland Sea."
A quill fell, continuing to amend on the auto-generated historical foundation:
"[Bloodsail] Mihawk, being a romantic soul, even possesses a second title [Prince of the Pub].
His favorite Kim Bosa dancer is gravely ill, necessitating a temporary departure from the Inland Sea to seek a witch doctor’s help in the colonies.
This will take at least a month, during which he can do nothing.
History should have been like this."
Noticing no signs of corrective force having automatically altered the history book, running smoothly according to the story’s rhythm, the owner of the history book then continued to turn to the next page.
Written prominently above: The fourth king of the Lancaster Dynasty of the Kingdom of Hightins, the [King of the Wild Hunt] Saint Byron.
"The young king, like his forebears among the Bayfolk, harbors ambitions to rebuild the Empire once more.
Yet like the failed [Blue Dragon King] Reinhardt, [King Lionheart] Richard I, [Iris Flower Hammer] Henry V, [Evernight Queen] Margaret I, he too... will not succeed!"
The quill fell, its tip brushing against the paper, making a light "rustle" sound.
"Facing the ’Third Ring Road Belt’, the North Sea Circle countries, not only will they not reunite, but they are destined to become the first powder keg for the collapse of continental order, plunging into a total war among nations.
The Old God Church from the Eastern Continent has long sharpened its knives, ready to present a well-prepared grand gift to the Old Continent.
It is the focal point of the disputes between the Protestant and Orthodox Churches, also a treasure earnestly sought by some, but its appearance will exceed all Old Continent people’s expectations.
Indeed, the countries surrounding the North Sea will all fall under endless beast tides, followed by the entire Old Continent.
This young monarch swept by the tide of the times stands alone, the power of his kingly title and pseudo-god stature small as a pebble in the coming great era.
He might struggle valiantly, but cannot alter the tragic fate.
Ultimately, he too will end like his forebears, a fleeting meteor across the night sky, brilliant yet short-lived!
History should have been like this."
A pair of clean hands closed the book once more.
"Without me and this sacred relic [The First History Book of the Silver Era], how many on this patchwork continent filled with numerous small countries would claim dominance or the title of emperor?
The characters within the book don’t need their own thoughts, they just need to dance along with my pen.
My arrangement is the correct history!"
The owner of the history book took out a pocket watch for a glance, nonchalantly tucked the "History of the Silver Continent" under his arm, and left his original seat. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦
Just as he stood up, a fiery red iron meteorite, trailing a long fireline, pierced through the library window, crashing heavily onto the place where he had initially been sitting.
The massive light and fire, smoke and dust, accompanied by shrill screams, instantly shattered the library’s original tranquility.
But as the smoke and dust settled, there was no sign of the [writer], just a meter-deep crater on the floor and half of a ruin.
...
Kingdom of Hightins, by the Sacred Lake Langos.
From a high altitude, in April, the lake scenery was prominent with beauty, sheer morning mist enveloping the rolling hills, while the sapphire-clear waters of the lake shimmered with sparkling light.
The sacred lake of the Kingdom, though prefixed with "sacred," has no connection with the Church or any religious figures.
It’s simply due to an ancient sacred artifact, deeply rooted in this land and its people’s history, that has slumbered here for over fifteen hundred years.
"Whinny~"
A loud neigh echoed through the valley, a splendid rainbow bridge broke through the sky.
