Chapter 111: War II
Seraph, Song, and Sylvia, along with the disciples of Soul Peak descended upon the battlefield like a flood, temporarily halting the war.
Song stepped forward, radiating a serene aura that troubled the Inferno Sect Elders.
Similarly, the Soul Cross Sect Elders were stunned.
"It... can’t be...?" Elder Wang stammered, his jaw dropping in shock.
Song’s gaze settled on the older Inferno Sect Elder who was about to change the title of the battle, then she spoke.
"Weak."
Her soul pressure flushed out, and the man stumbled immediately, blood spurting from his mouth.
"You..."
Seeing him in this state, the other Inferno Sect Elders were stunned.
"She... she... Emperor Stage!"
Panicking, they all turned to one figure who remained seated and hadn’t raised a finger since the battle started.
She looked young, but everyone of them called her "Ancestor Elder".
After all, she was older than the Inferno Sect Master himself.
"Ancestor..."
One of them said worriedly, turning to her for help.
She calmly opened her eyelids, then looked at Song floating in the distance.
"Initial Emperor Stage isn’t a problem. You all can subdue her if you work together."
Her gaze shifted to Seraph for a moment, then she ignored him.
"I will not help you stop her. I have someone else who is my worthy opponent."
As she said that, she rose up from her seat, levitating into the sky.
At the same time, another figure rose from within the Soul Cross Sect army to float opposite her.
"Little Mei, it has been a while since I’ve seen you." Ancestor Elder smiled fondly as she looked at the white-haired woman before her.
"Same, Ancestor." Elder Mei replied curtly, then looked to their right. "Shall we?"
The two of them nodded, then flew far away from the disciples to have their own battle.
If they fought right here, then they would surely be the ones killing their own disciples.
With the two powerhouses gone, the tension spiked again, and the disciples prepared for another round of war.
Each sect got back into formation, and got ready to face each other.
The Soul Cross Sect produced five Elders to face the ten Elders from Inferno Sect when Seraph joined them in the sky.
"What?" Elder Wang turned to him, surprised. "Boy, go join your mates down there. Don’t throw away your life here."
Before Seraph could say a word, Song spoke. "After this battle, Seraph will be recognized as a Soul Peak Elder."
Her voice was low, but everyone heard it—including the Inferno Sect Elders.
They were all stunned. Such a young person, already at the King Stage?! Impossible!
Elder Solace’s eyes narrowed as he studied Seraph, and he couldn’t help but smile wider.
As for the Inferno Elders, their expressions turned grim. If Seraph had indeed become a King Stage while looking so young, then they definitely couldn’t let him live.
The leading elder stepped forward and scowled. "Inferno Sect—to war!"
Below them, the disciples charged at each other, with elements shooting from both sides.
Without hesitation, Song shot at the leading elder who had neat white beard.
The man immediately coated his spear with flames and slashed at her. Song effortlessly evaded the attack, then grabbed at him.
A pitch black hand manifested out of thin air, and grabbed him.
"Blaze!" He cried out urgently, and flames burst from his body, burning the black hand slightly. Using that chance, he slipped away and distanced himself from Song.
Before she could follow up, three other Elders came after her, and she had to confront them together.
The bearded Elder also came back, turning it into a four against one.
As for the other Soul Cross Sect Elders, they were faced with one opponent each.
Seraph on the other hand...
"Hey, hey, hey. Aren’t you guys being unfair? I just got promoted and I’m faced with double pressure."
He smiled as he watched the two Elders that levitated opposite him.
One of them tried to smile back. "Sorry, child. You’re too dangerous for us to leave alive."
The other nodded. "Cooperate with us and surrender your life."
Seraph tilted his head, amused. "Do you... consider the fact that you might die instead?"
The two Elders stiffened, then burst out laughing. "Hahaha! Kid, you’re just an Initial King Stage cultivator. Do you think you can handle us who are in the Core level?"
Seraph smiled mysteriously, then took out an ominous red spear.
The air thickened with the scent of blood, causing the two elders to grow wary.
"What demonic weapon is that...?"
Seraph didn’t answer. The weapon did.
Screeeeeeeeeeeeee-!
An ominous cry like that of a bird, yet reminiscent of a child’s wail rang out as he raised the spear.
"Seraphim Spear: First from—Cyclone."
The blade spun and tore straight at one of them, stunning him immensely.
He immediately raised his hand, coated in flames, to stop the weapon.
Riiiip!
To his shock, his flesh was torn by the spear, and if he hadn’t retreated fast enough, his entire wrist would have been cut off. He was stunned, but couldn’t afford to remain stunned for more than a second.
Seraph was still after him.
"Bastard!" Cursing, he shot back and glared at Seraph, shooting fire arrows at the white-haired young man.
Seraph’s spear easily deflected the arrows, and he viciously pounced on the terrified man.
Unfortunately, he couldn’t finish him off at that moment. The other Elder shot at him, thrusting a sword at his throat.
Seraph raised his spear and blocked the sword, allowing it to slide off the surface of his weapon.
"Don’t bully me, senior."
Sneering, Seraph delivered a kick to his abdomen, sending him flying back.
"Water blades."
Over three hundred water blades shot at the man, surprising him.
"You’re spamming me with such weak attack?"
He easily destroyed the water blades, but more kept coming, keeping him stalled and annoyed.
"Sorry, sorry. Hehe~"
Chuckling, Seraph increased the number of water blades to a thousand, blotting out the sky around the Elder. Finally, the man was starting to feel threatened by the weak attacks.
