Pregnant Cultivator, Doted by Big Boss
Chapter 324 - 322: Dad... What Happened to You?
After Javier Sinclair and Celeste Grant left.
A voice rang out.
"Wait a minute."
"Don’t go."
"Dad, Mom."
Aaron Sinclair appeared in the air, scratching his head anxiously as he watched his parents, who had already left.
He spread his Divine Sense across the entire Cultivation World, but he couldn’t find a single trace of them.
He had been on another battlefield in the Cultivation World, fending off an invasion from the Outer Realms Race, when a great earthquake shook the land. The void rift in the sky had morphed into a swirling black hole, its immense suction pulling countless Cultivators around him into the air. His Cultivation was high, so he had used magic to grab hold of thousands upon thousands of them.
When his mother began to sacrifice herself, he was stunned speechless. A chill ran through him, from his body to his very Primordial Spirit. Aaron Sinclair had wanted to rush over and stop her immediately, but an invisible force restrained him.
He knew what it was.
The Heavenly Dao was stopping him.
Aaron Sinclair was held in place by that formless power, unable to move or speak. He could only watch as his mother sacrificed herself, watch as her life faded away and her power merged with the heavens and the earth.
He cried.
Whatever the Heavenly Dao’s reason, in that moment, he was filled with a burning hatred. A voice deep in his heart kept telling him to kill, to take revenge, to slaughter everything. Fortunately, he managed to suppress the thought.
Aaron Sinclair had been ready to use a Forbidden Technique to save his mother, even if it cost him his life.
He never expected the situation to change so suddenly. An unbelievably terrifying power had erupted from his father. With just a wave of his hand, the gaping void rift had closed. Not only that, but he had also used the Heart of Origin to mend the Great Dao. That same power even resurrected all the fallen Cultivators from both the Immortal and Demonic Paths.
’That power is incredible!’
’Dad is amazing.’
’When will I be as strong as Dad? Then I could protect Mom, too, instead of being so helpless like I was this time.’
But that wasn’t the point right now.
’Where did Mom and Dad go?’
’They didn’t just forget about me, did they?!’
Aaron Sinclair stood suspended in the air, the wind billowing his clothes and long hair. His golden hair ribbon was conspicuous in the sunlight.
All he wanted to know right now was how his mother was doing.
"Dad... Mom."
"Dad, where did you take Mom?"
Just as Aaron Sinclair was about to once again cast out his Divine Sense across the Cultivation World to search for them, he felt an invisible hand grab his shoulder.
He stumbled, his vision blurred, and in the next moment, Aaron Sinclair found himself in a sea of flowers. As far as the eye could see, butterflies and bees flitted among all sorts of colorful blossoms.
There was no end in sight to this floral ocean.
In the distance grew an ancient tree, its branches lush with vibrant green leaves and its trunks interconnected. A wooden house stood nestled in its upper branches. From a limb above the house, a red ribbon held a round piece of Ancient Jade, which dangled freely, swaying gently in the breeze.
Standing in the sea of flowers, Aaron Sinclair immediately spotted his parents not far ahead. They were sitting amidst the blossoms, his mother leaning against his father.
A smile graced his mother’s face, and his father was gently stroking her hair.
It was a heartwarming scene, one he was quite used to. And yet, looking at it now, Aaron Sinclair couldn’t stop the tears from falling.
’Mom is okay, and Dad is okay, too.’
"Mom... I’m so glad you’re both all right."
As he spoke, Aaron Sinclair felt his tears flow uncontrollably.
"You scared me to death."
Seeing his mother was safe, he could finally relax.
Just then, his mother’s voice came from not far away.
"Son, come here."
"You’re a grown man and you’re still crying."
Aaron Sinclair rushed toward his parents. When he reached his mother, he knelt beside her and threw his arms around her.
"Mom."
"Do you have any idea how scared I was when I saw you sacrificing yourself? I wanted to save you, but a force held me back. I couldn’t even move. I could only watch."
"What were you thinking? Isn’t saving the world a man’s job? What were you getting involved for? Don’t you know what Dad and I would do if anything happened to you?"
"You know how stubborn Dad is. If you were gone, he definitely wouldn’t want to live on his own!" Aaron’s words choked into sobs.
Her son’s tears dripped onto her shoulder. The young man before her was tall and handsome, but right now, he was crying like a child.
’It seems what happened before really scared him.’ Hearing her son’s words, she understood everything. Her first thought was of the Heavenly Dao.
She reached out and hugged her son, her eyes filled with adoration.
To be able to hold her son again... words couldn’t describe how wonderful it felt. The moment she began her sacrifice, she truly believed she would never see her son one last time.
"There, there, don’t cry."
"Such a handsome face. Crying doesn’t make you look cool."
"Good boy. See? I’m perfectly fine!"
As she spoke, she gently stroked his head, then patted his shoulder comfortingly. "Alright, alright, you’re Mama’s precious treasure. You’re so big now. Look at you crying. Where’s the imposing presence of the Young Master of the Demonic Sects?"
Aaron Sinclair hugged her tighter.
"I don’t need an imposing presence. I’ll always be a child to you, Mom."
Celeste Grant smiled faintly.
"Yes, you’re still a baby."
Seeing him still hugging his wife...
Javier Sinclair, sitting beside Celeste Grant, looked at his son. He reached out, patted his son’s head, and then withdrew his hand. "Your mother is very weak right now. Don’t lean on her."
Celeste Grant gave a faint smile. "It’s fine. I feel quite good."
It dawned on Aaron Sinclair, and he quickly let her go. He then gently took her hand and looked her over. "Right, Mom, how are your injuries? Is your body okay?"
"I’m fine!" Celeste Grant smiled. "Mom’s okay now. Look, my shattered Primordial Spirit has been repaired. My body feels pretty good, too."
Aaron Sinclair swept his Divine Sense over her to check. After confirming her Primordial Spirit was no longer in tatters, he finally let out a sigh of relief.
"That’s good, that’s good."
He said, turning his gaze to his father. Javier Sinclair’s eyes had returned to normal. Only the Demon Pattern on his forehead was still golden.
"Dad, you were so cool this time."
He said, making a heart shape with his hands for his father. "You were so manly and powerful. You protected Mom. I’ll work hard on my Cultivation from now on. When I get stronger, I’ll protect both of you."
Looking at his son, Javier Sinclair reached out and patted his shoulder, then gave a slight nod. "Good. I’ll be waiting."
Aaron Sinclair was smiling when he caught sight of cracks on his father’s arm under his sleeve.
Panic seized Aaron Sinclair’s heart. He grabbed his father’s hand and pushed up his sleeve, revealing an arm covered in a dense web of cracks.
"You... Dad, what’s happening to you?"
