Chapter 1576: Realm Ascension Pill

Letting out such a gasp wasn’t out of context.

The pill in Kent’s hand demanded such a reaction, especially since it is something that can’t easily be achieved by even the best alchemist.

In the field of alchemy, there are all kinds of pills ranging from Tier 0 to Tier 100. The peak of pill-making is Tier 100, something only Pill Celestials can achieve.

A Tier 100 pill is stronger than even a Supreme. The reason being, at Tier 18 and above, pills gain sentience. So the higher the tier, the more intelligent they become.

However, while a Tier 100 pill can be comparable to a Celestial cultivator, there is one type of pill that can’t be placed on a scale.

These pills are known as Dao Pills.

They have no grade, nor pill rings.

However, to concoct a Dao Pill, one had to be well-versed in the art of that Dao, their understanding extending to a firm grasp of a major aspect of it.

The pill in Kent’s hand is the [Realm Ascension Pill].

Like its name, it allows one to ascend through the realms regardless of the limitations in place. Kent is stuck at the Heavenly Ascension stage, not because he cannot break through. He is stuck because he has yet to ascend to an Immortal World.

The moment he ascends, the seal keeping him at Tier 19 would break, and he would be able to push beyond his current rank. Already, he suspects that when he breaks through after ascending to an Immortal World, his cultivation will soar to at least the Core Immortal stage.

Although he cannot gain access to his soul sea now, simply because the Tower had blocked it to undergo the upgrade that would allow him to successfully absorb the power of the Ruthless Bandit, Kent knew his power had risen by leaps and bounds already.

So if he were to take the Realm Ascension Pill, he would be able to step into the rank of an Immortal, finally rising to the level where he can use his abilities better.

The two quests he had received aren’t ones he can handle as a Heavenly Ascension stage cultivator. So he wants to ascend beyond that and gain power.

Thankfully, the Realm Ascension Pill had been handed to him ahead of time.

"Just where did you get this pill from?" Princess Pandora asked, her expression filled with shock. If a Dao Pill were to appear in the universe, many Celestials would kill to have it.

In fact, in the history of the legendary Kevin Sage’s journey as a Pill Celestial, he had only concocted two Dao Pills, and each caused great battles, the kind that left the universe in chaos for several thousand years.

Kent turned and looked at Princess Pandora, his expression cold. "I am not the same Lex Morvane you once knew."

His answer was simple: I have no plans to tell you where I got it from, so shut up.

Princess Pandora smiled, not offended in the slightest. She knew what was happening to Kent.

Since Kent had only just recovered his memories, he hadn’t yet adjusted to them, so his personality was darker than it should be. It would take some time for him to get used to his new power.

Naturally, once the Tower is done upgrading, he would assimilate with his other persona, balancing things out for good.

"Whatever. Since you intend to break the limit on your cultivation, go ahead. I will go bring the item you need to take with you to the Tormented Chaos Abyss."

Princess Pandora smirked and left.

After she was gone, Ryoa transformed from his dragon form to a demi-human. He had the appearance of a pale dragon-man with flowing red hair and a tattooed body.

"Lord Evil, I suppose you plan to head to that place after breaking through to the Immortal stage. However, I have already scanned the twelve cities here and discovered some decent warriors. Maybe we should conquer all of them before leaving."

Kent smirked, hearing Ryoa’s plan. "That won’t be necessary, Ryoa. I have already sent my three subordinates to handle that. I have a feeling they would surprise me soon enough."

Ryoa nodded. "Then how about you go ahead and handle your cultivation? I will fly around and see if I can find something good in this dump."

"As you wish."

Kent turned away and teleported back to the garden that had completely dried up. All over Skull City, every able-bodied person with a good head on their shoulders started entering the Gate of Evil to see if they could earn the mark of evil.

They all wished to gain the power to rally behind their king. So they were doing everything in their power to get that done.

Kent sat down and looked at the purple pill intently for a few minutes before tossing it into his mouth and swallowing it.

Just when he did, a powerful energy burst out of his body.

For a moment, he felt his soul tremble. Then something ignited in his soul, causing his eyes to release waves of purple energy.

[Thanks for the help, Master. Allow me to finish my upgrade, then we can handle yours, making sure none of the energy contained in the pill is wasted.]

"How much time do you need to finish your upgrade?"

[80 days]

"Okay. I will wait for you."

[Thank you, Master.]

Kent hummed and closed his eyes. The next time he would open them, his strength would surge far beyond what anyone would have imagined.

According to the quest, only by killing the Crimson Blood Demon General can he leave this place and cross over to Elina’s galaxy.

Already, Kent felt a bit uneasy when he received the quest. However, after seeing the power of his opponent, he knew he must rise to the occasion somehow.

His power is on par with a True Immortal, meaning he can face Immortal Lords if he uses some trump cards like the Soul Universe.

Perhaps he can even run from a Demigod thanks to the Jade Void Wings. What he cannot do, however, even if he were the greatest monster in the universe, is kill a Demigod at his current stage.

That is impossible, so the quest gave him a way to at least raise the odds on his side by at least some 20%. That still won’t allow him to dominate, but he would also have the power not to run when they clash.

It would be the most dangerous battle he would face, and so preparing before going sounded like the most logical decision.

There is a chance he might even fail to kill the Crimson Blood Demon General. However, since there is no time limit on the quest, he can test the waters and come back later to finish the job.

’I am sure this is Karma doing his thing.’ Kent smirked, sending his mind back to the life he had lived as the Ruthless Bandit.

Seated somewhere, fuming because he lost to Kent, Lord Karma also smirked, his expression narrowing toward a certain direction.

"This punk. Even after you won, you are still looking for ways to anger me." He clenched his fist. "Just wait. What awaits you in that place, I pray you don’t die easily."

If Kent were present, he would have frowned at how Lord Karma spoke; it seemed he had nothing to do with the upcoming battle between Kent and the Crimson Blood Demon General.
