Chapter 1623: Four New Forbidden Beasts, Reveals

"Haaaa..."

Kent exhaled and sat down, his gaze sharp and locked on the four beasts staring at him. The Crimson Blood Demon Swordsman had already been resurrected and made a Forbidden Beast under Kent’s command.

Lady Kenzie resurrected her and reaped her rewards from the quest the Tower had given her.

Kent expected some dislike, perhaps some resistance, after he woke up. However, to his shock, he actually thanked him for freeing him.

According to him, he remained in the Tormented Layer to escape the control of the high-ranking Forbidden Beasts inside the Chaos Layer.

The hold the Dark Lich had on him compelled him to submit to them the moment he stepped into the Chaos Layer. So he remained in the Tormented Layer and continued to build his strength.

His plan was to go there one day and ascend to become a god. Once that happened, he would establish his rule. However, even if he were to accomplish that, he would only be a slightly better slave who could be commanded to do anything by the Dark Lich.

However, now that the connection between him and the Dark Lich was severed, he could finally be free.

Though hearing him say he was finally free, Kent laughed in his head. He chose not to tell the demon he had just jumped from the frying pan into the fire.

While he would not command them to do things like slaves, he planned to go against the Grand Dark Lich, and they would help him.

The ending would be determined by who had the strength, and Kent didn’t plan to lose.

The other three Forbidden Beasts that came during his battle with the demon were also thrilled to have finally found a worthy master.

They had all experienced things that made them realise they had been missing out on a lot.

They witnessed Kent kill the Crimson Blood Demon General. If that wasn’t shocking enough, they also saw how ridiculously powerful Kharvok was.

He defeated the two of them in mere minutes, a feat they knew should have been impossible considering that both of them were considered some of the most powerful Forbidden Beasts at the demigod stage inside the Chaos Layer.

This defeat opened their eyes, and so they knew they must chase strength rather than blind loyalty.

The two Forbidden Beasts that Kharvok defeated one was an [Abyssal Ravager], a rather dangerous berserker-type beast. After he became one of Kent’s Forbidden Beasts, he named him [Draevok], a name that captured his essence well.

The other was a dangerous beast from a race called [Voidborn Pestilence Sovereigns]. They are mostly plague-type beasts. Their power is well utilised in large-scale battles. Kent named her [Nytheris] after making her his Forbidden Beast.

As for the green-haired lady, what she experienced inside Kent’s soul had changed her for the better. Even now, the fear lingered.

As an [Astral Soul Devourer], she never expected a day to come when her insatiable hunger would lead to her downfall. Now, she had become Kent’s Forbidden Beast, and she was named [Vaeritha].

"I know all four of you want to become stronger like Kharvok. I will do just that; however, I have a few questions, and please, this time, tell me everything," Kent stated, and they nodded.

"Aside from the god you three serve directly under, are there others?"

Kent discovered that they all answered to a True God, a Forbidden Beast. He knew that in the Chaos Layer, even Celestials could be found, so he wasn’t about to risk it. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"Yes, there are others," Vaeritha answered. "3000 years ago, there was a meeting where we all attended. It was at that meeting that we met higher-ups. We answer to a True God who answers to a Universal God, who also answers to a Supreme, who also answers to a Celestial.

There are four Celestial Forbidden Beasts in the Chaos Layer, and each has three Supremes under it. Each Supreme has seven Universal Gods. The rest, I don’t know, but so far, you can see that there are a lot of us in the Chaos Layer."

Kent nodded, his expression showing that he clearly never expected there to be this much danger left behind by the Grand Dark Lich.

The force under that bastard’s control alone was more than enough to take control of the entire Tormented Chaos Abyss.

He knew he had to stop him somehow, or else soon the Banished Zones would become his secret army to command, and when that day came, defeating that old crook would be dangerous.

"I heard from a Forbidden Beast some time ago that our top leader resides in the Abyss Layer," the Crimson Blood Demon General, whom Kent had named Crimson, said, causing Kent to turn his attention toward him.

"There are four overlords there, so I am sure one of them is a Forbidden Beast and another is an Abomination."

"Huh... How did you come to that conclusion? The last I checked, the Abominations had been sealed inside dungeons. How can there be Overlord Abomination Beasts when there aren’t any of them outside like you guys?"

"Oh, there are Abominations inside the Chaos Layer. In fact, they are the most dangerous kingdom there. None of us dares go anywhere near their domains.

Their leader is a Celestial Dragon that has been modified with features from phoenixes, tigers, hawks, and others," Vaeritha revealed with a scared expression.

"Our leaders warned us not to go anywhere near their domains since doing so is guaranteed death. I wouldn’t go anywhere near an Abomination if I were you," Draevok added with the same grim expression.

Kent laughed, knowing that even if he didn’t want to, he would have to. He needed the manpower to prepare for the unknown.

He hadn’t been pressured to form his legion like this before, so the fact that it was happening now pointed to something big on the horizon, and he had to be prepared.

’The moment I awaken my first Grand Shaman, all of these beasts will become mine to command.’ Kent smiled inwardly and proceeded to ask a question.

He had already received the key to open the gateway to Elina’s Galaxy, so the only thing left now was for the evil queen to awaken so he could leave this place.

But for the time being, he would do everything in his power to amass his legion.

"You mentioned kingdoms. Are there others aside from your kind and the Abominations?"

"Yes," Nytheris answered. "Aside from the Forbidden Chaos Kingdom and the Abomination Kingdom, there are the Sentients who call their kingdom Mysthik and the Vagabond Kingdom. Unfortunately, none of us knows much about them since they remain hidden behind their walls.

The Sentients are also a mysterious bunch. We haven’t had interactions with them, so we can’t provide any valuable intel."

"Oh, it appears there are a lot of interesting beings hidden in this world." Kent was genuinely stunned. However, he soon discovered something interesting that made him wonder whether these Vagabonds were related to him.

There was one thing he had discovered ever since the tower started giving him quests. Now, each quest pointed to something bigger.

Just now, he had learned about the Vagabonds, and the next second, a quest regarding them popped up for him to embark on. If this wasn’t a coincidence, then there was nothing worth considering.
