Chapter 1646: Empire in Ruins (2) [End of Volume X]

If the slaves and guards within the mine had existed during the Primordial Era and had witnessed the Great Way, especially the moment the Primordial Chaos Dragon stirred his soul into 13 pieces and sent them across space and time, summoning the 13 Legion Portals, they would have been horrified to see five similar portals open the moment Kaizo snapped his fingers. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮

Five massive portals tore open across the sky.

From the first portal, Kent’s wives descended like Goddesses of War. They were led by the Mother of Killers herself, Neomi.

She landed gracefully, and without even asking what had happened, she immediately began slaughtering the guards, something she enjoys very much.

A glorious murder.

Unity, Lilian, Alina, Val, and the others joined the battle alongside her, with the exception of Vexthra, Lene, Miryssa, and Inaya.

Miryssa had returned to the Ice Source after sustaining severe injuries during Inaya’s Supreme Ascension, while Vexthra and a few others still hadn’t recovered.

Inaya also appeared, but instead of joining the slaughter, she flew directly toward Elina and, with a wave of her power, teleported all 3.7 million slaves far away from the slave mine so Kenna could safely work her magic on their slave collars.

From the second portal, the Undead Legion descended into battle under the command of Sylara, the Vampire Demoness. Sensing their master’s overwhelming fury, they asked no questions and immediately began killing.

The Night Riders, led by Uncle Drew, emerged from the third portal.

From the fourth portal came the Eternal Wrath Legion, led by Aetheris the Flame Giant. Their descent shook the entire mine like a devastating earthquake.

Lastly, the fifth portal opened, and the Beast Legion, led by Nexorphis, charged into battle. Even though all of them had been restricted to the Peak of the Heavenly Ascension Stage, none of them seemed to notice.

Crimson and several others who had yet to officially join any legion followed shortly after the five legions descended.

In no time at all, the 200,000-plus guards were annihilated, and Kent shot toward the eastern horizon, his legion following closely behind him.

They could all feel his rage, so none of them questioned him or attempted to stop him.

Even Inaya, who possessed the power to stop him by force, was already furious over what had happened to her sisters during her ascension, so she allowed Kent to vent his fury.

A few minutes after they left the mine, Pandora, Yukiko, Mila, Nuella, and several others who had returned from the Star Realm also appeared and immediately began helping Inaya and Kenna deal with the slave collars.

"I have never seen him this angry before," Inaya muttered, recalling the terrifying look she saw in Kent’s eyes when their gazes met briefly.

Uncle Drake, who had also chosen to assist the women, let out a sigh.

"I have seen it before, and it is not a pleasant sight."

Seeing everyone turn toward him, he slowly revealed a piece of his past.

"During the Primordial Era, I once heard rumours about a madman who wandered around slaughtering Forsaken beings. Nobody knew why he was doing it. Of course, those hateful bastards deserved the most painful deaths imaginable.

However, that madman was like a plague. His fury became so terrifying that the Forsaken Race eventually began begging people like us to help them.

I later learned that he alone had killed over 45% of the Forsaken Race before he suddenly stopped.

A few years later, I met him personally, and that was the day I realized what kind of monster the Primordial Era had given birth to.

I do not know about you ladies, but if we do not find a way to stop him, he will wipe out this planet, move to the next one, and continue killing until this entire Star System is drowned in blood."

"But can we truly stop him... or should we?" Pandora asked, a part of her secretly wishing Kent would continue until every evil soul in the Star System had been eradicated.

"If we do not stop him, he will slowly fall into a state none of us will be able to pull him back from," Yukiko said, biting her lower lip.

The Kent she knew was a happy and loving person. Even after the two of them had been hunted for years, he had never sought revenge. The Beast Tamer was perhaps the best version of Kent in his 13 reincarnations.

So she could not bear seeing him in such a terrifying state.

The women immediately began debating how they should approach the situation.

To them, Kent would not react kindly to anyone standing in his way, so even though they possessed the power to stop him, they knew they had to handle this delicately.

"I know how to stop him, but I do not want him to stop," Elina suddenly said, her furious expression making it clear that she, too, was filled with rage.

"Those people tried to kill my little sister, so I want every last one of them dead."

The previous Elina would never have said something like that. She was the kindest person Chaos had ever met. So for her to say such words meant she was genuinely furious.

Inaya and the others knew she was right, but now they had to convince her to help stop Kent, or else he would sink too deeply into his madness.

Meanwhile, in the capital where the Emperor resided, alarms blared the moment news arrived from the mine that someone had attacked them and was now heading toward the capital.

Ten minutes after they received the news, Kent arrived, blasting through the city gates far ahead of his legion. However, the moment he appeared, his legions used their connection with him to teleport directly to his side and immediately began another massacre.

Within only a few minutes, tens of thousands of guards were slaughtered, and the main palace was breached.

Kent and his legion were like a tide of death. Everywhere they passed, cities and lives fell into ruins.

Soon, they reached the deepest part of the palace where the Emperor resided. However, they discovered that he had already teleported away, abandoning his family and eldest heirs behind.

Kent slaughtered every last one of them, and with Tower equally enraged, she activated another teleportation portal.

Soon, Kent and 80% of his legion were transported to Planet Fakk, where they immediately began cutting down everyone who stood between them and the Emperor.

Meanwhile, the remaining 20% spread across the empire and began hunting down slave masters, bandits, and every other individual on Tower’s kill list.

She had already prepared a complete list of everyone who deserved death, and by the end of two days, Planet Gorn had been cleansed of all filth.

By then, over three planets had already been reduced to ruins.

It was on the third day that the Emperor was finally captured by Kent and thrown into the Prison Tower.

Yet Kent continued the massacre.

On the fifth day, after seven planets under Emperor Damakis’s authority had been reduced to ruins, Elina finally decided to stop Kent.

On the tenth day, a simple hug that came out of nowhere was all it took to stop Kent from attacking the fourteenth planet.

Kent finally regained his sanity before collapsing unconscious, not from exhaustion, but from sheer fury.

He fell into Inaya’s arms, bringing an end to the massacre, at least for everyone except Kaizo, Neomi, and Crimson.

Those three continued onward separately to conquer three more planets as quests assigned to them by the Tower.

In the end, the entire empire once ruled by Emperor Damakis was reduced to ruins, and with that, Kent had officially declared war on all slave traders across the universe.

This also opened everyone’s eyes to the fact that in the universe, not everyone could be offended, especially not someone who still carried trauma from several past lives.

The Primordial Chaos Dragon had returned, and with him came Lord Genesis (the slave swordsman) and the Ruthless Bandit (traumatized child).
