Chapter 1706: An Angry Dragon is a Dangerous Dragon

The clouds churned violently as though a heavenly tribulation were about to descend upon everyone. Clearly, Kent’s response to Sect master Kaidrenn’s command had angered them, and they were determined to show him who was in charge.

RUMBLE

BOOOOOM

Another bolt of lightning struck the restaurant, destroying it this time. Many people in the distance gasped as they watched the walls crumble.

Many of them had dined at this restaurant before. However, it had now been reduced to rubble. While the foundation remained intact, it would no longer be serving anyone food.

However, despite the lightning possessing enough power to destroy even Immortal Lords, Kent and the people inside the restaurant remained unharmed.

Kent had ensured their safety by shielding them within an ice dome.

The moment the building collapsed, the clouds parted, revealing Sect Master Kaidrenn and twelve elders. Their expressions were dark as they stared at Kent, who sat with his legs crossed.

Compared to Sahir and the others, whose faces were filled with terror, Kent appeared completely relaxed.

"Identify yourself, brat. Are you the one who killed my disciples?" Sect Master Kaidrenn demanded, his expression grim.

He did not like what he was seeing, and that feeling only intensified at the sight of the six corpses with spears protruding from their heads.

Kent had deliberately left their bodies intact for their elders to see exactly how they had been killed.

Kent looked back at Sect Master Kaidrenn and smiled. "I go by Kent Madson, and yes, I was the one who killed them. As for why, it was because they looked down and hurt my brother."

The expressions of Sect Master Kaidrenn and the elders of the Grand Arcane Mage Sect changed the moment they heard Kent introduce himself.

Kent Madson was a being known throughout the universe, so his appearance here was unexpected. Even more shocking was the fact that he had killed six of their disciples.

If he had been anyone else, they would have attacked him already. However, Kent was different, and that made them hesitate.

"Kent Madson or not, that doesn’t give you the right to kill my disciples," Sect Master Kaidrenn said, his fists clenched.

"So, what are you going to do about it?" Kent asked, causing the thirteen individuals to frown even more deeply.

Seeing this, Kent smiled, stood up, and hovered a few meters above the ground.

"Do you losers have any idea who this young man is?" Kent asked, pointing at Sahir, who certainly had not expected to become the centre of attention when he woke up that morning.

Yet here he was.

"Let me open your eyes today, you scums. The person your uncultured disciples tried to humiliate and harm was once hailed as the greatest Ice Mage to ever walk this universe. His spells shook battlefields, and his presence gave hope to mages and warriors alike.

If not for him, this universe would not enjoy the peace it has today. If not for his sacrifice, none of this would exist. So you had better show him the respect he deserves before it is too late.

Trust me, it would be in your best interest to turn around and leave right now."

Sahir felt something stir within him for a moment, causing him to smile. However, just as it came, it vanished. Even so, while the others looked at Kent with doubtful eyes, he looked at him with belief.

"What kind of nonsense are you spewing, brat? So what if your name is Kent Madson? Do you think you can justify killing six core disciples of the Grand Arcane Mage Sect and fabricate a story to win public sympathy?" Elder Haneul shouted, pointing his mage staff at Kent.

He and the other five Grand Elders were Grand Mages, while the other six Elders were Master Mages. However, Sect Master Kaidrenn was an Archmage, one of the best and most highly respected Archmages in the Eastern Region.

So, for Kent to be treating them like children infuriated him.

Kent narrowed his eyes at the elder who spoke and then smirked.

"I don’t need anyone’s sympathy. I only said that because it is the truth. Also, the only reason you are still alive is that I have great respect for mages.

That said, if you thirteen don’t want to see me angry, turn around and leave before you provoke me. As you already know, the saying: "An angry dragon is a dangerous dragon."

The air around Kent began to shift.

Sect Master Kaidrenn immediately noticed the change, and as someone capable of casting up to sixty-five spell circles, he knew that fighting Kent was bad news.

However, if he left now without avenging his disciples, he would become a laughingstock among his peers.

He certainly could not leave without making sure this Kent Madson kid understood that there were consequences to one’s actions.

"Grand Arcane Formation."

His staff moved, and a fifty-four-layered spell circle appeared, causing a powerful pressure to descend upon Kent.

However, Kent merely stood there with his hands clasped behind his back.

"Reinforce the formation and make sure this bastard learns not to offend the Grand Arcane Mage Sect ever again."

The elders formed seals and then pointed at the formation.

It immediately became even more powerful. Seeing this, Kent used his Omniscient Jade Eyes to scan it and discovered that the core of the formation was being imbued with soul essence.

’So it’s a soul attack, huh? I want to see if it can even scratch my soul.’

He smiled and waited for the formation to fully take shape. Twelve seconds later, it completed itself and stabilised.

Kent saw that the core had become so saturated with energy that he felt an urge to attack and destroy it. However, recalling that his soul had already reached the peak of the Demigod Stage and that his Soul Universe had expanded once more, he stopped himself.

On top of that, he still possessed soul immunity.

Sect Master Kaidrenn wasted no time and gestured downward, his voice booming across the area.

"Soul Eraser!"

A purple beam fired from the formation and struck Kent’s body before, bathing him in a purple radiance.

Sahir and everyone watching gasped, not because Kent had been attacked, but because he made no effort to defend himself.

Even Sect Master Kaidrenn and the elders were stunned when they saw Kent simply standing there as the attack engulfed him.

Kent, however, smiled from within the Soul Eraser beam.

’Looks like this formation can kill a normal True God with a weak soul. Unfortunately, my soul is simply too vast and too energetic. Even two hundred more attacks like this wouldn’t make me feel a thing.’

He remained within the beam for as long as it lasted.

When the beam finally receded, and his flawless body was revealed, everyone gasped again, their eyes widening in disbelief.

Sect Master Kaidrenn and the twelve elders turned pale as they saw Kent standing there with a faint smile on his face.

"Told you it would be wise to turn around and leave. However, now that you’ve attacked me, it’s only fair that I do the same."

He grinned and raised his left hand.

"Don’t worry, I won’t kill you. But you’re going to wish I did."

"Underworld Soul River."

He muttered the words before snapping his fingers, manifesting the massive and terrifying Gates of the Underworld Soul River.

The thirteen mages turned completely pale.
