Chapter 546: Chapter 200: Trouble at the Basketball Court, Bai Weixi Meets Xia Zhijin Again_4

Heh, Li Yuan is a total scumbag, but he’s also ridiculously awesome. It’s one thing to be talented and rich, but he’s also an incredible basketball player. Life is so unfair.

And with that physique, always gifting sports cars at the drop of a hat... ahem, forget the girls, even a grown man like me might get turned.

Hey, speaking of which, maybe we guys have a shot too, right? There are plenty of gay men around these days, aren’t there?

Damn it, those disgusting gays. Stay away from me...

...

"Weixi, Shasha, why are there so many girls here? And they’re all cheering for Li Yuan," Deng Meiqi said, frowning as she listened to the cheers and looked at the densely packed court. "There are way too many people. We can’t find a single open spot. I can’t even see the court."

Wang Lili also muttered in annoyance, "Looks like we’re late. The game just started, and it’s already this crowded. Don’t these people have classes to attend?"

"Weixi, Meiqi, follow me," Wang Lisha said, taking charge. "Let’s circle the court and see if we can find a spot."

Bai Weixi glanced toward the court. Although she was nearly 1.7 meters tall, the dense crowd blocked her view, leaving her to see only blurry figures darting about. The three girls circled the court, anxiously looking for a place to watch.

"There are so many people, and more than half are girls," Wang Lisha scoffed, muttering under her breath. "Li Yuan’s Peach Blossom Luck is truly ridiculous."

Suddenly, her eyes lit up as she spotted a few open spaces ahead.

"Hey, there’s some room over there! Weixi, Shasha, hurry up!"

The three of them quickly jogged toward the gap.

Wang Lisha took Bai Weixi’s hand and led her to the spot, which was right behind the court’s baseline. There were only a few girls in front of them, making the space seem strangely empty on the crowded sidelines.

"That’s weird," Deng Meiqi commented. "This is a great spot to watch from. Why is no one here?"

"Weixi, come over here, I can see Li Yuan!" Wang Lili excitedly grabbed Bai Weixi’s arm and pulled her through the small crowd.

Bai Weixi’s brow furrowed slightly as she looked at one of the girls in front of her. The girl was about her height and had long, slim legs. Judging from her back alone, she was likely a great beauty. However, she was puzzled. The silhouette seemed familiar, as if she had seen it somewhere before.

As she was lost in thought, the excited Wang Lili pulled her forward. She stood to Wang Lisha’s right. To her own left was Wang Lisha, and next to her were Deng Meiqi, another girl, and finally, the one with the familiar silhouette.

"Weixi, look! That’s Li Yuan! He’s dribbling!" Wang Lisha pointed excitedly toward Li Yuan, who was dribbling near the three-point line.

Bai Weixi quickly looked toward the court, temporarily forgetting the familiar figure beside her as she stared intently at Li Yuan.

She watched as Li Yuan dribbled outside the three-point line. Wu Hao came up to set a screen, and Li Yuan passed the ball to him before cutting swiftly toward the basket. Wu Hao, in perfect sync, sent a quick bounce pass right back into Li Yuan’s hands.

It was a simple but effective pick-and-roll play.

Li Yuan caught the ball, took three steps, and leaped high, slamming the basketball straight through the hoop.

A powerful dunk!

Bai Weixi’s eyes widened. She watched in disbelief as Li Yuan soared through the air and dunked the ball, her beautiful face a mask of utter shock. She and Li Yuan had been high school classmates for three years. Because of their relationship, she had gone to watch him play basketball before. But back then, even though he was the same height, he couldn’t dunk, could he?

Bai Weixi stared, her eyes filled with his image. She felt his excitement welling up inside her, making her want to jump up and cheer.

Wang Lili, standing next to Bai Weixi, showed no such restraint. She had taken basketball for her freshman P.E. class and knew a thing or two about the game. The moment she saw Li Yuan’s dunk, she transformed into a hardcore fan girl. Clasping her hands, she stared at him, starstruck.

"WOOOW! Li Yuan is so cool! He can actually dunk!" she shrieked. "Weixi, he can really dunk! That move was awesome! No wonder you like him so much."

Seeing her roommate even more excited than she was, Bai Weixi found it amusing. It was as if Wang Lili, not her, was Li Yuan’s girlfriend.

Just as Bai Weixi was about to reply, the Computer Science Class Two called a timeout. Then, she saw Li Yuan walking toward them.

Watching Li Yuan approach—sweaty, with well-defined muscles and his masculinity off the charts—Bai Weixi’s mind suddenly flashed back to the times they had "played poker" together. A blush crept up her cheeks, and she watched him nervously.

Seeing Li Yuan coming over, Wang Lisha waved enthusiastically. "Li Yuan, we’re over here!"

Wang Lisha’s loud shout not only made Li Yuan turn his head but also drew the curious gazes of the girls standing next to Deng Meiqi.

Gao Xin glanced at Deng Meiqi and the waving Wang Lisha, frowning as she muttered to herself, "Huh, why do those three look familiar?"

Suddenly, a memory surfaced. Her eyes widened in recognition, and she nudged Xia Zhijin beside her. "Zhijin, they’re here!"

Xia Zhijin had been gazing at Li Yuan with adoration. Abruptly, she saw his expression falter and his pace slow. Puzzled, she turned her head just as Gao Xin spoke.

At that exact moment, Bai Weixi also happened to look over.

Their gazes met and locked.

Xia Zhijin’s mind went blank. She stared at Bai Weixi, completely bewildered and at a loss for what to do.

Similarly, a storm of emotions crossed Bai Weixi’s face. No wonder that girl’s back looked so familiar.

It turned out she wasn’t the only girlfriend who had come to watch Li Yuan play.

Deng Meiqi sensed something was wrong with Bai Weixi and followed her gaze. Her eyes landed on Xia Zhijin’s beautiful, slightly panicked face. A chill went down her spine as a single thought echoed in her mind.

Oh no. Of all the times and places to run into her...

Her gaze shifted back to Li Yuan on the court, overcome with curiosity. Who would he greet first?
