Chapter 297 Quest: "Defeat the Corrupted Mayor"
Shiori and Chika arrived at Fall City, the special field for the quest "Defeat the Corrupted Mayor." The town’s structure was rectangular, enclosed by an outer wall. A main street stretched out from the gate in front, leading to a large square in the heart of the town.
From that square, a main street extended in all directions, lined with various shops and other establishments. Further along the square was the mayor’s residence. Furthermore, venturing off the main street and down the back alleys near the corner of the outer wall, there appeared to be a slum, and a desolate atmosphere was palpable even from a distance.
Having confirmed the town’s structure from atop the outer wall, Shiori and Chika had now reached this point.
"Well, we’ve managed to get inside, but..."
"Hmm... this is..."
The main gate, the only entrance and exit, was sealed off, and only those with a special pass—which could only be issued by the mayor—were allowed to enter or exit.
Using a stepladder they found lying near the town, Shiori and Chika climbed over the outer wall and entered. To avoid attracting attention, they wrapped themselves in cloth they found in an alleyway to conceal their faces before stepping onto the main street, but the ominous atmosphere made them frown.
"Uh..."
"Heh heh, here we go!" 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
"Ahhh...!"
"Uh... I’m sorry, I’m sorry..."
"Shut up. Heh heh."
"The atmosphere in town is... pretty bad."
"Yeah... it looks that way, big sister."
The residents walking around town looked gloomy. Some people were shouting violently and committing acts of violence. The security situation was quite bad. It was a scene that left Shiori and Chika with an indescribable sense of unease.
"For now... let’s go to the person who made the request."
"Yeah, that’s right. The menu description says we have to go there first... Um, it looks like it’s over there."
After observing the townspeople and discussing the matter, the two began walking toward the location specified on the menu. A few minutes later, they arrived at a building.
"...We’ve arrived. This is it."
"Um... is anyone there? I came to check out the quest..."
It appeared to be some kind of shop, as shelves of goods were lined up. Many of the shelves were empty, and while some had items on them, it was unclear what was actually there. As Shiori and Chika stepped inside the shop and called out, a door at the back slowly opened.
"Um, so... are you the ones who will accept the quest...?"
"Ah, yes... it’s me and this girl..."
"Um, are you the client...?"
The person who emerged from behind the door was a young man in his early twenties. When Shiori and Chika nodded in response to the man, who asked them with an anxious look on his face, he slowly opened the door wider.
"Yes, that’s right... Please come inside for now. You’ll stand out here..."
"Yes, I understand."
"Um, excuse me."
As the man urged Shiori and Chika through the door, the first thing they saw was a room with futons haphazardly laid out.
Passing that room and climbing the stairs at the back, they found themselves in what appeared to be living quarters, where they saw a total of six men, including the man who had appeared earlier. All the men were sitting on the floor, but when they saw Shiori and Chika, they all began to speak.
"You’re the ones who accepted the request, right? We’re the ones who made it."
"Thank you for coming all this way."
"Well then... let me explain what happened right away."
"Please, have a seat."
"Yes, thank you very much."
"Please."
As instructed, Shiori and Chika sat down and began listening to the men’s story. The mayor of Fall City had changed a month ago. Suddenly, a monster belonging to the Demon Lord’s army appeared, and the mayor fell for the monster’s sweet words and was transformed into a monster himself.
From then on, the town’s men were tortured and the women publicly shamed at the mayor’s whim, and he did whatever he pleased. The residents tried to protest against those actions, but those who tried to resist were mercilessly killed by the monstrous mayor or the monsters he had given them, or were enslaved. The residents succumbed to fear, and the resistance subsided.
Some residents tried to escape from the town, but the town’s only entrance and exit was a gate through which only those with a permit issued by the mayor—those who were subservient to him—were allowed to pass, making escape impossible.
However, that did not mean they could let the mayor’s misdeeds go unpunished. With that in mind, these six men had somehow managed to submit a quest request to the "Guild" through the slums.
But while they had succeeded this time, they did not know if they could do it the same way next time. Therefore, they absolutely had to defeat the mayor who had turned into a monster.
By the way, apparently the mayor himself had not been a good mayor even before he turned into a monster. It was discovered that he had been committing various criminal acts.
Apparently, if things had gone as planned, the mayor would have been removed from his position and brought to justice the day after the monsters attacked, so there would have been no problem in defeating him without any reservations whatsoever.
"Please... defeat the mayor no matter what. Unless we stop the mayor, there is no future for us... for this town. Please..."
"Feel free to use the rooms in this building as you like. Use them for gathering information to take down the mayor, or for taking breaks."
"Please, we beg you, take our place, since we are powerless...!"
And with that, the men finished telling their story. They pleaded with Shiori and Chika, tears streaming down their faces.
"I understand... Leave it to me...!"
"We will definitely defeat the mayor...!"
Shiori and Chika nodded in response to the men’s words and immediately left the room, heading down to the first-floor room where the futons were laid out.
"Judging from what we just discussed, it looks like this will be both our base and our starting point... Well, there’s no point in staying here right now. Let’s just get started."
"Yeah, that’s right, big sister."
Saying this while looking at the haphazardly laid-out futons, Shiori and Chika left the shop to head toward the mayor’s mansion.
"Oh... it’s nighttime now."
"I didn’t intend to listen to you talk for that long... I guess it’s for game-related reasons."
It was already dark outside the shop. The only light shining through the deserted area was the moonlight. With the people who had been there during the day now gone, Shiori and Chika headed straight for the mayor’s mansion. A few minutes later, they arrived in front of it.
"We’ve arrived. This is it."
Judging from its exterior, the mansion appeared to be three stories tall. The area was surrounded by an outer wall, and it appeared that an electric trap would be activated if anyone tried to pass through anywhere other than the gate.
"We don’t have time to deal with the gatekeeper. Let’s just take him down quickly. ’Wind Sword’"
"Guh!?"
They quickly killed the level fifteen monster guarding the gate and then infiltrated the mansion. They made their way through, instantly eliminating the guard monsters that occasionally appeared. Their destination was the top floor of the mansion—the floor where the mayor’s office was located.
"Well... I guess it’s over there."
"Let’s go."
Having reached the top floor, Shiori and Chika looked around the corridor, then turned their gaze to the door at the end of the passageway straight ahead. They headed toward it and threw it open with a click.
"......"
A man was standing there. He was around forty years old. He had black horns on his head and bat-like wings on his back. He was a human man who had been transformed into a monster. The man showed no surprise whatsoever at the sudden opening of the room’s door and coldly turned his gaze toward Shiori and Chika.
"...So you’ve come. The intruders."
"Ah...!"
"Huh, they noticed...?!"
Shiori and Chika were surprised by his words, which indicated he knew they had been intruding. The man began speaking with a mocking smile on his face.
"Hmph. All the monsters in this mansion are under my command. It’s designed so that I know immediately if they are defeated. I was wondering what kind of reckless person would show up at this point... but I never imagined it would be women. And to think such beautiful sisters."
"Uh..."
"Uh..."
As he said this, the man’s face was filled with lust as he gazed at Shiori and Chika’s bodies, his eyes lingering with desire. As the two of them froze under his gaze, ready to move at any moment, the man slowly opened his mouth.
"I was just looking for new girlfriends. Beautiful sisters like you are more than welcome. I’ll have a good time playing with you... First, ’reach orgasm.’"
"Eh... H-Huh?! ♡"
"Ah... Hya, aaaahhh!!? ♡"
"W-what...? ♡"
"Huh, uh, now...!? ♡"
Upon hearing those words, Shiori and Chika did it. They reached orgasm. As the two of them suddenly convulsed and lost all strength in their bodies, the man began speaking with a sly, unpleasant grin.
"By transforming into a monster, I gained various powers. An inhumanly strong physique. The power to command monsters. And, although limited to women, the power to force them to obey orders."
"...You must be strong, considering you were able to instantly kill my monsters... But too bad for you. As long as you are women, you can never defeat me."
"Wha... ♡ Th-that kind of power... ♡"
"Th-that’s... that’s... ♡"
If they challenged him head-on, they would never win. Upon hearing the man’s abilities confirmed by their prior assessments, Shiori and Chika’s bodies, already aroused, began to tremble.
"Now, ’you are forbidden from attacking me or resisting me.’ With this, you can no longer resist. Now then... I, Mayor Forak, will be your opponent. Please use your beauty to entertain me, okay?"
Standing imposingly before the fallen Shiori and Chika was the man—the mayor, "Forak"—who spoke with a nasty, sinister grin.
"Uh... ♡ Uh, uh..."
"Uhh... uh, uh... ♡"
"I never knew he had this kind of ability... ♡"
"From here on out... ahh, I’m looking forward to it... ♡"
Shiori and Chika were unable to say anything in response to those words. Inwardly, they were filled with excitement and anticipation, but they simply remained frozen in place.
