The task is to defeat the goblins that have taken up residence in a cave near the Town of the Forest People.

The quest-exclusive dungeon, Goblin’s Lair, initially appears to have several branching paths, but most quickly lead to dead ends. In practice, the cave functions as a single, straightforward passage.

As players advance down this main path, goblins emerge one after another. They are primarily armed with daggers and clubs, though some carry staves or bows.

Encounters typically involve two or three goblins at a time. They employ no particular tactics, charging directly at the player instead. Their average strength is around level 25, so a level‑30 character—as the quest recommends—should have no trouble defeating them.

However, midway through the passage, goblins begin setting ambushes and traps. These first appear where the cave construction becomes noticeably rougher.

Surprise attacks tend to occur when the player’s guard is lowered—for instance, immediately after finishing a battle with goblins approaching from the front.

The traps vary. Based on my observations, they include smoke‑screen traps, electric‑current traps, and traps that release paralyzing powder.

I attempted the quest four times, and the trap locations and types differed each time, suggesting they are randomly generated. That said, the traps have subtle visual cues if you look carefully—a discolored patch on the floor or a string protruding from a wall crack—so it is best to proceed cautiously.

At the end of the passage, you enter a dome‑shaped hall. Dozens of goblins emerge and attack all at once. Individually they are not particularly strong, but their numbers are significant.

Be careful not to get surrounded, and prioritize eliminating ranged attackers first. The quest completes once all goblins in the hall are defeated.
