Autumn York’s words suddenly made Alice Turner realize the seriousness of the situation. She had been too impulsive these days; she hadn’t even thought it through before getting together with Thomas Fisher.

"Auntie! Is there anything else you want to say to me? If not, I’ll head back to work. I’ve been out too long; my boss will be on my case." Returning to work, she didn’t even have the mood to do so right now.

Alice Turner’s mood at this moment was not only irritable but also particularly upset. She urgently needed to find a place to calm down. She worried that her emotions might suddenly get out of control.

Autumn stared at Alice for a long moment before responding, "I hope you can think this over quickly. The longer it drags on, the greater the risk."

She originally didn’t want to push the person sitting opposite her, but thinking about the potential bad outcome made her harden her heart to play the role of the villain to the end.

"I understand, I’ll consider it as soon as possible." Alice stood up, and before leaving, didn’t forget to say goodbye to Autumn. After saying goodbye, she promptly left her seat and walked quickly downstairs.

Watching the hurriedly departing figure, Autumn sighed with some regret. Why was the heavens playing such a joke on her?

While Autumn sat at her seat, brooding, Alice had already left the tea house, walked out, and looked up at the blue sky.

After forcing her tears back, she withdrew her gaze from the sky, took a deep breath, eased her stifled emotions, and walked briskly towards her car parked nearby.

Without any pause, she got into the car and immediately drove away from the tea house, quickly merging into the traffic lane.

Alice didn’t return to the office, nor did she plan to run home. She drove aimlessly, following the flow of traffic. Wherever the cars ahead went, she blindly followed. When they stopped, she instinctively stopped as well.

When the car stopped, Alice suddenly snapped out of her daze. Only then did she realize her car was parked at a construction site. Looking around, she reversed and left the construction site.

Shortly after leaving the construction site, her phone in her bag suddenly rang. She pulled over to the side of the road, grabbed the bag she had tossed on the passenger seat, and took out the phone inside.

The moment she brought the phone to her eyes, she furrowed her pretty brows.
