Callix Linton has never really liked him, Fabian Holmes has always known this, yet all these years he hasn’t heard Callix ask him to divorce Amelia.

"I’ll leave empty-handed, I don’t want a penny from you." Amelia knew well enough that Fabian didn’t want a divorce because of any feelings for her but had other concerns, including the company shares he valued most, "I’ve signed the divorce papers and left them in the bedroom’s bedside table drawer, sign them when you have time, and after the New Year, we’ll handle the procedures."

After saying that, she got up and left the living room, not returning to their bedroom but going to the guest room on the first floor.

For years, Fabian Holmes had been hoping to divorce Amelia, and it had always been him proposing the divorce, but now things had switched, she was the one constantly bringing up divorce.

This time she was serious and earnest about asking for a divorce, and the timing for handling the procedures was already set, she even chose to leave empty-handed to divorce him, which truly shocked him.

Fabian’s feelings for Amelia had long faded; the little bit of kinship they had left was already depleted amidst years of turmoil and suffering.

Now, he didn’t want a divorce, but it had nothing to do with their marital feelings; he was most worried about the relationship between their two sons, who had become irreconcilable, and divorcing would completely ruin it.

The next day, after Fabian left for the office, Amelia packed all her personal belongings, called a taxi, and moved to her father’s house in the Military District Compound.

Seeing Amelia returning with bags, old Callix instantly guessed she was getting divorced from Fabian, and finally, he could be relieved.

However, Lily Turner didn’t know about Amelia and Fabian’s divorce. Seeing Amelia with all that stuff, she thought her mother-in-law was taking all those things just to visit Golden Morning, and she immediately began to have thoughts.

Her mother-in-law was taking so many things; where would the stuff for the three of them go? She was really worried about her husband, but she didn’t show it.

"I’ve already asked Xiao Li to prepare your room; you can organize these things inside yourself." Ever since knowing Amelia had fully awakened, Callix had Aunt Li tidy up the room for her, expecting her to return home anytime. He thought it would be after the New Year, but she came back sooner than expected.

Hearing Callix say this, Lily suddenly realized that Amelia was moving back home, not going to Golden Morning for the New Year, and she quickly went to help, "Auntie! Let me help you."
