Ranaway From Wedding, Fell into Tycoon's Love Trap
Chapter 1310: Matchmakers’ Alliance 8
Hearing Ryan Taylor’s question, Evelyn Taylor instinctively turned her head to look at Thomas Fisher beside her. "Thomas! Are you going to say it? Or should I?"
They’d have to let everyone know sooner or later at this blind date anyway. Since she’d unexpectedly run into her own brother today, she might as well share this bizarre situation with him first.
"You go ahead."
Thomas Fisher handed that right over to Evelyn Taylor, letting her explain. He believed she’d definitely say it better and clearer than he would.
Evelyn Taylor didn’t stand on ceremony with Thomas Fisher. She shot him a quick smile, then finally looked at the two people sitting across from them. "The only reason the two of us are sitting here on a blind date today is completely because our parents on both sides set it up. Thomas and I had no idea beforehand."
She’d judged it the same way he had in her heart, decided that this whole thing had everything to do with the parents from both families.
"They really do dare to dream, to even come up with something like this. If the two of you were ever going to be a couple, would you really need to wait until now? I honestly admire their imagination." Once Ryan Taylor was sure that Evelyn Taylor and Thomas Fisher were here on a blind date, he found the whole thing ridiculous. He truly didn’t understand what on earth the parents of the two families were thinking.
Evelyn Taylor and Thomas Fisher hadn’t just met yesterday. They’d known each other for over ten years. If the two of them had had that kind of intention, would they really need their parents to play matchmaker?
But what happened next almost made Ryan Taylor’s jaw hit the floor. He had just finished speaking when he saw Evelyn Taylor reach out and hook her arm through Thomas Fisher’s.
"Who says the two of us can’t be a couple? Aren’t we already a couple now?" To make it more convincing, Evelyn even tilted her head to lean against Thomas’s shoulder, and tightened both hands around his arm a little more.
Thomas Fisher knew Evelyn Taylor wanted to put on a show for Ryan Taylor. Not only did he not push her away, he even raised his other hand and gave her hand a squeeze. "Ryan! Do you think Evelyn and I are a good match?"
Seeing his second brother so stunned by the two of them, he really wanted to laugh, but he forcibly held it back and didn’t let himself smile.
"What are you two doing? Are you serious? Or are you messing with me?" Ryan Taylor pointed at the two of them cuddled up so intimately. At first, he thought they were joking, but the longer he looked, the less it seemed like a joke. Now he honestly had no idea what was going on.
Thomas Fisher spoke first: "What do you think?"
He kicked the question right back, leaving his second brother to judge for himself.
"Ryan! Lilith! Do you think the two of us are a good match?" Evelyn Taylor chimed in, adding another line.
Lilith Spencer actually didn’t know what was really going on between the two of them, nor did she know exactly what Thomas Fisher’s situation was. She didn’t dare make a rash judgment, but in her heart she was skeptical about the two of them.
She didn’t know the whole story, but she had eyes and ears. Everything she saw and heard made her feel this matter was suspicious.
"Thomas! If Evelyn wants to fool around, you shouldn’t follow her lead. Be careful if Lily finds out and tells..." Ryan Taylor suddenly stopped mid-sentence. He’d already made it obvious enough; there was no need to say that name outright.
Before Thomas Fisher could open his mouth, Evelyn Taylor already burst out angrily, "So what if she finds out? I’m not scared of her knowing."
