Rebirth: A Cinderella's Counterattack
Chapter 1593 - 1573: Blood Drinkers
"What are you doing so early in the morning?" He Wenyu asked, watching Luo Qianqian get up to change clothes, rubbing his eyes with a face full of exhaustion, "Are you planning to steal sweet potatoes?"
"You’re crazy!" Luo Qianqian reached out and gave He Wenyu a hard knock on the head, then adjusted the track pants hidden beneath her dress, "Have you ever seen anyone dressed like this to steal sweet potatoes? ... Steal sweet potatoes? Not watermelons? Sweet potatoes are in the ground, right?" Luo Qianqian looked at He Wenyu, puzzled, wondering if this person could be reliable?
Looking at her light green cross-front long dress, it wasn’t like she was going to work in the fields, right? Moreover, she was even wearing jewelry for a change, even though it was just an ordinary-looking silver bracelet.
"Alright, your brain’s not broken. Fine, then, I’ll feel at ease. Bring me back a couple of sweet potatoes," He Wenyu covered his mouth and chuckled before lying back down, pulling the quilt over his head.
Watching He Wenyu go back to sleep, Luo Qianqian was momentarily at a loss for words. After her mouth twitched for a moment, she ended up shrugging her shoulders helplessly, looking at the lump beneath the blanket, sighed, and resignedly left the room, not wanting to disturb his rest.
As she opened the door, the aroma from inside the room wafted out, prompting Bai Yizhu, who was practicing in the courtyard, to take a deep breath and appreciate, "This smell isn’t bad, it’s better than the scent of your shower gel."
"Brother Zhuzi, where’s your survival instinct?" Luo Qianqian slightly squinted her eyes, swinging her little fist, "You need to know, I bought all the shower gels. Aren’t you questioning my taste?"
"I’m just stating a fact, I didn’t mean to criticize," Bai Yizhu was speechless upon hearing this, thinking, is this kid having a hormonal cycle? Why does it feel like everything he says gets countered three times?
What he didn’t know was that Luo Qianqian had just been slightly provoked by He Wenyu, and the provocateur had rolled over and continued sleeping... So it’s like a firecracker being extinguished with water before it could explode, how could that make Luo Qianqian happy?
He just happened to be caught in the situation, so even if he felt wronged now, there’s nothing to be done, as, after all, luck is part of a person.
"You’re criticizing me? I’ll go tell Big Brother Bai!" Luo Qianqian snorted and turned her head away from him.
Bai Yizhu: "???" His face immediately fell, thinking, women and villains are hard to please!
"Okay, I can’t afford to provoke you, I’m out of here." Bai Yizhu quietly picked up the clothes hanging on a chair and turned back to his room. If he spoke more, he feared he’d have to be prepared to be punished by his brother.
He didn’t know much, but he was very clear about one thing: in his brother’s eyes, Luo Qianqian was much more important than he was.
Back when things hadn’t escalated yet, Luo Qianqian ranked ahead of him, let alone now when things have escalated...
He was feeling quite wronged as this younger brother, being a younger brother was really unfair.
Look at the Luo family, who doesn’t dote on the youngest, Luo Qianqian? And look at his family? He was treated like grass...
If it weren’t like that, why else would he have been carrying his brother’s dignity since childhood, mixing with people and eventually becoming a boss...
Thinking back to causing trouble for his brother because of this, he felt extremely wronged, very wronged.
Why does it seem like since childhood he was bound together with the Luo family?
Oh, this damned fate...
Luo Qianqian shook her head speechlessly watching Bai Yizhu flee in defeat; was she really that scary? Was she?
As she was about to argue with him, she saw Bai Yinshu had already come out. Seeing her, he was taken aback, then smiled, "You’re up early."
"Yes, I am. It’s not good to be late and cause you trouble," Luo Qianqian also smiled, meeting Bai Yinshu’s gaze, "If I didn’t get up, you definitely wouldn’t have had the heart to wake me up. After all, men and women shouldn’t touch. You probably wouldn’t dare to open the door to call me, so it’s better for me to be self-aware."
Bai Yinshu grinned widely, "I worried all night, but you read me well. Seems I’m worried for nothing."
Luo Qianqian was suddenly helpless; was he really taking advantage of the situation?
"Where’s Mo? Is he still lazing around in bed?" Luo Qianqian looked around, not seeing him, and became quite curious.
"Hey, hey, could you think something good about me?" a voice sounded above them. Luo Qianqian looked up and saw Mo sitting on the roof, holding a cup and drinking something. When he saw both of them look up, he nonchalantly jumped down, landing between them, "You guys are really slow."
Luo Qianqian rolled her eyes, "What were you sneaking up there eating? Let’s go, soon it’ll be daylight, even the morning dew will evaporate."
"Let’s go," Mo shrugged, downing the liquid in his cup and smacking his lips, "This stuff is good, but there’s only enough for one cup. Next time, I’ll save you some."
Luo Qianqian was full of curiosity, curious over what was so precious it only filled one cup.
Bai Yinshu, however, furrowed his brow tightly, sniffing, "A fishy scent, blood?" He looked at Mo incredulously, "Were you training early in the morning?"
"Nice nose, not bad. There have been quite a few little creatures around lately, but to me, they’re only enough to fill the gaps between my teeth," Mo said calmly, and seeing Luo Qianqian’s curious eyes, he playfully licked his lips, "Want a taste? It’s pretty good."
"Don’t listen to him; you’re not like him. His body is full of poison," Bai Yinshu quickly stepped between Mo and Luo Qianqian, afraid she might actually be tempted.
Luo Qianqian’s mouth twitched, "Do you think I’m a weirdo? Drinking blood?" Seeing Mo without any strange expression, Luo Qianqian rolled her eyes.
She wasn’t fond of blood, after all, not all blood could be enjoyed like duck blood vermicelli.
"You’re not a weirdo?" Mo snorted, speechless, "Didn’t you roast human flesh once? Or was it not you who boiled human bones into soup? You’re teasing me."
Luo Qianqian stared, could they not bring this up?
She only did such a frightening thing once, okay? It was out of outrage, there’s no difference between someone hurting her brother and someone hurting her parents, okay?
Once her anger blew up, she did something she wouldn’t dare to think of under normal circumstances...
"Hmph, next time, I’ll try it on you," Luo Qianqian rolled her eyes and walked off with Bai Yinshu, having no intention of arguing further with Mo.
Mo stared wide-eyed but was helpless, knowing deep down that Luo Qianqian was just joking around.
He quickly caught up with the two, glaring hard at Bai Yinshu’s back.
Bai Yinshu shivered but didn’t turn back, his mouth curling into a smile.
