Rebirth in the 80's: The Daily Life of the Villain's Mom
Chapter 591: Two Big Snowmen
As soon as everything was set up, Wang Cuilan opened the cotton curtain of the living room and called out to them.
"Hurry up and come inside once you’re done. Don’t just stand there; the snow is still falling heavily."
Their hats and shoulders were already covered with quite a bit of snow after only standing there for a short while.
Hearing Wang Cuilan’s words, the three of them didn’t delay anymore and quickly walked to the corridor.
Instead of going inside directly, they first brushed off the snow from their heads and bodies.
If they didn’t clean off the snow properly before going inside, the warmth would melt the snow, getting their clothes wet.
After staying outside for a long time, stepping into the warm room suddenly, they all felt cozy.
Wang Cuilan had already poured the brewed tea, and by the time they drank it, it was just a slight bit hot.
That warmth was just right.
In winter, it’s best to drink hot tea.
The three of them sat down at the table, each holding a cup of tea.
Seeing their red, chilly fingers, Wang Cuilan couldn’t help but feel a pang of love for them.
"Can you three explain why staying warm indoors isn’t better than going out to play in the snow?"
Listening to Wang Cuilan’s nagging, the three of them exchanged glances and smiled knowingly.
They didn’t say anything, just quietly listened to Wang Cuilan.
Once she had her fill of talking, the matter passed.
Even though they’d been playing for quite some time, Pei Jing couldn’t stop thinking about building a big snowman.
However, with the snow still falling endlessly, no matter how much he wanted to, it wasn’t possible to go out and build a snowman just then.
Fortunately, a child’s attention is easily diverted.
Once Jiang Ran started telling him stories, he no longer thought about going out to build a snowman.
The snow continued to fall until the afternoon before it finally stopped.
Even though the snow stopped, the sun didn’t come out, and the sky remained overcast, suggesting another snowfall might come that night.
But night matters can be dealt with at night. Now that the snow had finally stopped, they could finally go out to build snowmen.
After wandering around the courtyard for a bit, they finally picked two spots.
They decided to build two big, chubby snowmen to stand in the courtyard.
If the winter got cold enough, they might last the whole season.
When building the big snowmen, little Pei Jing could only help a little.
Most of the time, he just watched from the side.
Even so, he was very happy.
Jiang Ran and Pei Huai worked together, and soon the big snowmen began to take shape.
An hour later, the two snowmen finally stood firm.
The snowmen were just as tall as Jiang Ran.
Jiang Ran felt that Pei Huai did it on purpose.
Pei Jing had never seen such big snowmen before.
He took several steps back, looked up at the two big snowmen, and after staring for a while, Pei Jing said, "The snowmen don’t have eyes and mouths, nor clothes and arms."
All of this could be easily fixed.
The eyes were made from stones, the mouth from chili peppers, and the nose from a carrot.
The arms were made with long tree branches.
Jiang Ran even returned to her room to find two scarves to wrap around the snowmen.
With this embellishment, the snowmen started to look more human-like and much cuter.
Jiang Ran was very satisfied.
Who knew she had a knack for this too?
But just then, Pei Jing spoke up again.
