So first of all, I would like to say thank you.

Thank you for sticking with me till now.

As you have seen I’ve decided to conclude this book here. It seemed like a pretty good place to bring things to a close.

There are a number of reasons behind my decision.

This was my first book, and well it’s been a heck of a journey. Personally, I started to feel weak around Volume 4. It hasn’t been easy to write since then.

Real life got hectic part way through and interfered a lot, which naturally affected my update speed causing the book to lose a lot of the momentum it had at the beginning. On my part I failed a lot of times to keep you guys aware and I’m sorry for that. It has been kind of an upward battle since then and I think it’s shown.

A lot of you took issue with Yang Kun’s betrayal arc and to be fair I can understand with the similarities it had to the Wang Jingwen situation.

I was trying to portray it more like a situation where both people used each other. With Zhang Xiaohua attempting to use Yang Kun till he could replace him only to be played himself. But I guess I didn’t manage to portray it as well as I imagined it in my head.

I’ve kind of struggled to progress the storyline further and I don’t want to forcefully push ahead with this story so I plan to bring it to a close for now. But I think this has been a good journey overall minus the ups and downs. I am satisfied, but I’m a little sorry to those of you who have dropped out along the way.

So thank you for being with me through this journey to finish my first book! I’ve gained a lot from this and learnt a lot. I’ll always remember the support you gave me.

I’ve been looking for a worthy way to end this without completely throwing all your dedication and love for this back at you and I hope that it has ended on a good foot at least even if it’s not perfect.

I may eventually come back to this. Possibly even restart the idea but more polished I have learnt a lot and gained advice on ways to improve this if I were to do so again in the future. But that’s to be seen in the future.

I know a lot of people will be annoyed or frustrated but I hope you can accept my decision and understand where I’m coming from.
