Rebirth of the Peak Young Master
Chapter 1458: Collusion
Wu Xin was so angry he almost fainted.
"Ah, no, Boss Wu, you seem unaware? I ran into your nephew Wu Shang when I went to catch Wu Feng. Didn’t I ask him to tell you? It was already past eight in the morning when I told Wu Shang. Almost two hours have passed!" Jiang Guangrong said with a mocking look at Wu Feng.
"He didn’t tell me!" Wu Xin gritted his teeth and said.
Jiang Guangrong exploded silently. He jumped up from his chair, slapping the table with his right hand: "Wu, do you want him?"
At dusk, a young woman entered the low room. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
The kidnappers had already detected the woman’s arrival through their cameras.
A blonde-haired kidnapper took off his hat and came out: "Sister, what do you want here?"
The woman’s name was Tian Jue. Tian Jue wore light makeup, a business suit, had long black hair over her right shoulder, and wore high heels. Looking at the yellow-haired man, Tian Jue smiled and said, "Brother, I’m here to find Liu Zi!"
"What? And there’s a Liu?" the yellow-haired man asked coldly.
Another kidnapper behind the yellow-haired man couldn’t help but whisper, "Are you looking for the dead Liu Zi? This Liu has even colluded with all the white-collar workers in the city. Is he an animal..."
"What’s wrong? Is Liu Zi not here?" Tian Jue looked a bit disappointed and lowered her head slightly. When Tian Jue lowered her head, her eyes didn’t stop working. She secretly observed the layout of the low housing area.
"Oh... Liu Zi went out but has not returned yet. I suppose he has some business! Sister, what exactly are you looking for? When he returns, I can tell him for you!" The yellow-haired man, seeing Tian Jue alone and being a girl, felt no need to be on guard and seemed rather enthusiastic.
"It’s okay if he’s not around! I’ll come to find him another day!" Tian Jue smiled, turned around, and went back.
The yellow-haired man breathed a sigh of relief and prepared to return to his post.
Tian Jue suddenly turned back and looked at the yellow-haired man: "Brother, what’s your name?"
"Me? Just call me Axin!" The yellow-haired man was a bit excited when asked his name.
Tian Jue seized the moment to approach the yellow-haired man again, secretly observing the low housing area: "Then it’s up to you, Axin!"
"Haha, easy to say, it’s no trouble, no trouble!" The yellow-haired man scratched his head and laughed happily.
Tian Jue smiled deeply, turned around, disappearing from sight.
Soon, Tian Jue arrived at the foot of a small hill. Four or five cars were parked down the slope. It was Jiang Guangrong’s group in the vehicles.
"How did it go?" Jiang Guangrong asked nervously when he saw Tian Jue return.
"Exactly right! They must be the kidnappers! I observed their situation. It seems they’re just a group of ordinary kidnappers. Their monitor setup isn’t strict; it might be useful against average people but not against those with good skills!"
"Great! So, do we go with you?"
"No! Wait here for my news! I can handle these thieves alone. I’ll inform you after I’ve taken care of everything. Then you can drive over to pick them up!" Tian Jue appeared confident.
"Alright, be careful." Jiang Guangrong knew Tian Jue’s personality. Tian Jue wasn’t one for arrogance. Since Tian Jue had absolute confidence, his followers wouldn’t face trouble. If they went over and got exposed, it would be disastrous.
Tian Jue got back into the car and quickly drove away. By now, Tian Jue had tied her hair and changed into Camouflage Clothing. She tucked two daggers into her small legs, wore a handgun on her waist, held a handgun in her right hand, and fitted a silencer with her left hand. After a series of preparations, Tian Jue didn’t return.
"Be careful!" Zhao Junkai shouted, watching Tian Jue’s back.
Tian Jue turned to glance at Zhao Junkai, nodded gently, and then stealthily entered the low housing area.
After getting close to the low housing area, Tian Jue chose to approach from a hillside nearby. Upon reaching the hill, Tian Jue skillfully descended, perfectly dodging the cameras, and slipped into the low housing area.
Tian Jue dodged several cameras along the way, finally hiding in a small house. Tian Jue gently pushed the door open, examining the interior through a small gap. The room contained only a girl in plain clothes tied to a stone pillar. Aside from her, there was no one else in the room, nor were there cameras.
Tian Jue hurried into the room where Qin Yanran was bound. Qin Yanran heard the noise at the door, lifted her head, and looked in surprise at the visitor: "Sister Tian? Are you here to rescue me?"
Tian Jue smiled, pulled a knife from her calf, and cut the ropes binding Qin Yanran: "Exactly!"
Qin Yanran was smart and naturally understood Tian Jue’s implication that she was merely there to rescue Jiang Guangrong and the students. But Qin Yanran didn’t mind: "It’s all the same. No big difference. I didn’t expect you to come so quickly. I thought you wouldn’t find us until tomorrow morning!"
Tian Jue gave Qin Yanran a deep look. Qin Yanran had such faith in her and Jiang Guangrong. She wondered if Qin Yanran had that kind of insight. Nevertheless, Tian Jue was curious why Qin Yanran treated her so well.
Tian Jue was very surprised. She had just reached the roof. She didn’t know how many kidnappers were inside the room. If she prematurely revealed herself, it could cause catastrophic harm to the hostages inside.
At this crucial moment, Qin Yanran covered her nose and softly meowed: "Meow meow..."
The kidnapper relaxed, carrying an AK47, and scolded quietly: "Damn the night cat, get lost, or I’ll get mad!"
The radio on the kidnapper’s right shoulder crackled, "What’s wrong, Lao Ma?"
The kidnapper removed the walkie-talkie and quickly replied: "Nothing, just a wild cat in heat!"
...
Soon, the kidnapper returned to his post. Qin Yanran and Tian Jue both breathed a sigh of relief. Tian Jue gave a thumbs-up to Qin Yanran. She then silently moved to the other side of the room. There was a gap on the roof’s edge. Tian Jue peeked through the gap. Only one kidnapper appeared in the illusion, holding an M16. The kidnapper showed concern, but I also heard movements of the kidnapper with the AK47 outside the door, who got up from the chair. After confirming with the kidnapper outside, he circled around the bound student and sat back.
Jiang Guangrong was also tied up. He inadvertently looked up and saw Tian Jue on the roof. Tian Jue placed a finger to her lips, signaling Jiang Guangrong to stay silent.
Jiang Guangrong quickly caught on and whispered, "Brothers, my hands are bleeding from the rope. Could you untie me?"
Tian Jue smiled. Jiang Guangrong indirectly informed her there were two kidnappers in the room. She had only seen one. Another kidnapper was in her field of vision’s blind spot. The kidnapper’s position was likely at the corner of the wall.
The kidnapper on the chair scolded back: "What’s your problem? Just shut up! If you keep talking, I’ll break your hand with one punch!"
Jiang Guangrong shrank his neck and stayed silent.
After confirming the situation inside the room, Tian Jue decisively touched the silencer-equipped handgun and took action.
Tian Jue advanced like a fish in water. He slipped through the hole next to the roof, feet apart, hanging in mid-air inside the room. He clasped the handgun with his right hand and fired two shots.
The kidnappers on the chair and standing against the wall fell instantly. Despite the handgun having a silencer, the gunshots still echoed with the kidnappers’ cries. The noise quickly reached the door. The kidnapper outside rushed to see what happened inside. Tian Jue heard the sound and paused. After a 3-second delay, he fired two shots through the wooden door. Screams and the sound of a body hitting the ground came from outside.
Tian Jue easily took down 3 kidnappers and landed steadily on the ground.
