Rebirth: Top Actress, Your Big Shot Husband is Jealous Again!
Chapter 1003
Mason Bennett was holding the medicine bottle in his hand, his dark eyes gradually sinking like the mysterious sea of stars at night, concealing endless danger.
Until the bathroom door opened, Mason quickly put the medicine bottle into his pocket, then stood up and turned to look at Bella Green.
The girl had just taken a shower, her long hair still holding droplets of water, and the two just stared at each other.
After a while, Bella turned her gaze away and walked straight to the bed, lifted the quilt, and got in, intending to sleep.
Mason looked at the girl but still didn’t say a word.
After a moment of silence, she walked to the bathroom and took out a towel and a hairdryer.
Mason walked to the bedside and sat down, looking at the girl with closed eyes.
"Dry your hair before you sleep," he said.
But Bella didn’t respond, as if she was already half asleep.
Mason directly placed the towel on Bella’s head and gently started to wipe it.
Wiping away the droplets bit by bit, he then plugged in the hairdryer to blow her hair dry.
Throughout the process, the girl kept her eyes closed, as if she was indeed deeply asleep.
With the girl’s hair half dried, Mason returned to the bathroom with the hairdryer and towel.
Listening to the bathroom door close, the girl who had kept her eyes tightly shut slowly opened them.
Her gaze deep, yet somehow unfocused, staring blankly ahead.
The entire night, she waited for so long.
Still, she didn’t receive any explanation from Penelope.
After a moment, she closed her eyes, silently laughed bitterly, mocking her own hypocrisy.
Though she claimed to trust him, she still wanted to know if another person had existed in his life.
The person he said he would marry after graduation.
When Mason came out, Bella still had her eyes closed, seemingly deep in sleep.
Mason walked to the bedside, his gaze unwaveringly fixed on the girl with closed eyes.
After a long time, he moved to the other side of the bed, picked up a pillow, and then left the bedroom.
Listening to the slight sound of the door closing, Bella didn’t open her eyes, but the hand holding the corner of the quilt tightened, her breathing no longer as calm as before.
In the living room, Mason huddled on the sofa, staring at the ceiling unable to sleep.
It was as though scenes were playing out endlessly in his mind.
He took a deep breath, rose from the sofa, and walked to the floor-to-ceiling window.
Though it was already late at night, the night scene of Kyoto remained bustling, neon lights stretched like dragons, winding to unseen ends.
The streets were still bustling with cars and pedestrians traveling in groups, but even so, he felt utterly lonely.
That kind of loneliness that no one could understand...
He picked up his phone, flipped to a number but hesitated for a long time without pressing it.
Finally, he tossed the phone aside, returned to the sofa, his slender body nestled uncomfortably in the small sofa.
Mason still forced himself to close his eyes and try to sleep.
In the room, though separated by just a wall, it felt like they were worlds apart.
...
Aaron White first sent Joanna Ramsey back to the White Family, and then drove away with Eleanor.
Joanna stood at the door, looking at the magnificent villa, taking a deep breath.
Even though she had stayed here for several days.
But she still couldn’t get accustomed to it, not accustomed to anything here.
She took another deep breath, and then exhaled heavily, raising her foot intending to enter.
But her gaze was indeed drawn to the figure under a large tree not far away.
